Pretty surprised how easy it was NOT to overeat on Thanksgiving. (That may have had something to do with my sister's cooking. :P I luv her tho!)

Have really slowed down on losses.  Scale just won't budge no matter what I do.  Hope I can break out of it soon.

I haven't really tried anything for strength training yet . . . just walking, biking and aerobics.  Looking forward to giving it a try.

Well, I seem to have made it through the holiday ok.  165 this morning, but that's after turkey last night and TOM . . . hopefully will be down a few by Tuesday morning.  Have been holding steady here for several weeks.  Not really sure what's going on.  Ok *smirk* yeah I do.  LOL  I'm not exercising as much as I was over the summer . . . and it's getting harder the closer I get to goal.  I'm going to stick with my original goal for the holidays and do my best to maintain my weight.  That would be an accomplishment in itself.

Wanabeskine . . . does your son do remicade infusions?  Just curious, I have Crohn's as well and had those a few times in my 30's.  Hope it's working well for him. :)

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  Christmas is coming fast!

Blah.  I've been between 162-166 for several weeks now.  It's very frustrating in a way . . . but in a way I think my body is just "getting used" to being this size.  I'm trying to keep my chin up and maintain . . . after all, my goal was to stay steady through the holidays and, so far, I seem to be doing that.  Thanksgiving was good.  I don't feel like I over indulged at all . . . I even skipped my mom's pie! :)  And it was nice that family members I haven't seen all summer noticed the loss and said I looked fantastic. 

I think the foods that surprise me most are the little things.  Like mayo on a sandwich, bacon bits on a baked potato, a few crackers with soup.  Those "little things" really add up.  It's taken quite a bit of reconditioning to get back to the basics and just leave the extra's off.  I haven't quite conquered my love of CHEESE, though I have switched to lighter versions for certain recipes.

Well, it's been another odd week of ups and downs.  Saw a 166 one day and a 162 another.  Just can't seem to decide what it's gonna do.  I think TOM is comin up in the next few days and I hope it doesn't affect me too much for Tuesday weigh in.  Doing ok on the cardio . . . not as much as I'd hoped to get in, but at least an hour or so a day.  I tried the belly dancing dvd and was sore for 2 days! LOL

Off to have a lil breakfast and then to church.  Gonna try really hard to make sure and eat right this week . . . haven't been doing that great lately.  I stay within my calories, but don't eat the right things and even skip meals so I can have a milky way bar.  Bad bad! :P  So back to my wasa and tuna and fruit this week.

Side note:  I said I WASN'T going out this weekend, but my sister talked me into it.  BUT, I only had 2 light beers and danced so I think it evened out.  The best part of the night was a 29 year old guy flirting with me.  *chuckles*  Funny how silly things like that make your day. :)

Hi all . . . Angie here :)

I'm 41 (soon to be 42) and 5'6.  My highest weight ever was 235.  I'm currently down to 163 after joining CC in May.  I love the challenge groups.  BLC and Schmoozer's with all their great members go a long way in motivating me.  I'll be married for 20 years this coming April but have been with my hub since I was 17, so that's  . . . . FOREVER. lol  We have a 17 year old daughter who will graduate this coming spring and I have a crazy Cairn Terrier named Boo who is my walking partner.

Winter's are the worst for me.  Being in Minnesota, it's difficult to stay active with all the snow.  Just today I went up to a used disc/dvd store and bought a few aerobics dvd's that I hope will keep me more active than I would be otherwise.  (I always gain weight in winter.)  I'm hoping I can drop another 10 lbs or so during this challenge, but the closer you get to your goal . . . the harder it is to get off.  I'm now 23 lbs away . . . 18 lbs away from a normal BMI.  It'll be tough with the holidays too I'm sure.  But I'll give it my best shot!!

I CAN DO THIS!

Hmmmm a goal for the next 10 weeks.

I've been tryin to get my weight under control for 3 years.  I do great over the summer and then gain over the winter.  235 lbs the first time I started, got down to around 180, then back up to 215 that winter.  The next summer down to about 165, back up to 205 over the winter.  Now I'm down again and I'd really like to just stay there.  Seeing 150 by the end of this Schmoozers would be awesome, but I don't know how realistic that would be with the holidays coming up.  So no loss goal this time around, I just want to stick with it and hang onto what I have so far . . . that would be 72 lbs and 31 inches gone!  If I lose more . . . well, that's just icing on the cake. :)

Well, my dancing took place tonight.  Hubby went to the store after dinner and I was finishing up the dishes.  I have a cd player in there and popped in one of my daughter's cd's.  I look like crap today, having worked on the storage room all day . . . messy pony tail, no make up, sweat shorts (that USED to be tight) and an old paint covered sweatshirt with bare feet.  Fergie's London Bridge came on so I cranked it up and danced my A** off!  I was shocked that when it was over I didn't have a stitch in my side and wanted to do it again . . . so I did! LOL

Sheesh I gotta do that more often! :p

When I first started this challenge, my goal was to lose 14 lbs and get to 166.  I picked that number because my hub weighed 167 at the time.  Unfortunately, he has lost weight too. (durnit)  So today I'm going to make him weigh again and see how much I really have to go to weigh less than him.  It's been a bad month for exercise, rainy and cold . . . but I've been watching those calories really closely and have been working like a dog around the house.  I guess that's been enough to keep me on the downward trend.

I've tried so many new foods since I started CC.  I think my favorite has to be Wasa.  I thought I wouldn't like it, but that CRUNCH! :)  I love it.  I've also been changing out all my high fat things for low fat or no fat substitutes.  Including butter, milk, salad dressings, sour cream, mayo . . . just about anything that has a lower fat version.  I don't miss it all.  I also gave yogurt and cottage cheese another shot.  Yeah, I still hate them. :P

Finally, the 160's.  When I checked my BMI (29.0) it told me I was "mildly" overweight, not "moderately" or "obese".  Funny how silly little things can make your day.  My hub told me yesterday that my pants look horrible and baggy.  That made me smile too. :P

Another recipe from my favorite website allrecipes.com.  Ok yes, I'm a soup ho!  Summer or winter, rain or shine . . . soup is convenient, tasty and filling.  With Chrohn's Disease, I don't have to worry so much about my fiber intake, but this recipe has a high content and is just right for lunch.
