Depends what the sickness is, really.   If it was something like a stomach-bug I'd avoid food completely and just sip water, clear broths and hot drinks.  If it's a cold (like I had last week) where the appetite isn't affected but the taste-buds are, I'd be tucking into strongly-flavoured foods.  If recovering from a fever or an operation it would probably be light, easily digested foods that would get the appetite back.... steamed fish, stewed fruit, mashed potato.  I think you have to go with what feels right at the time

    It's actually a sore throat, a bad cough, and a stuffy nose. Which specific foods would help heal as fast as possible?
