I had a very bad weekend...I went to an Italian wedding and ate pasta and desert which I haven't done in 3 months..I managed to skip the bread though. Then on Sunday we had Arby's chicken burger and fries..ouch. But I didn't gain any weight believe it or not. I made my boyfriend work out with me Sunday night and he wasn't a happy camper but I was proud of him..he did it:) Most of the wedding I spent in the washroom..I am guessing because I was eating rich food and my stomach was saying..hey what is this. I guess I can honestly say I flushed all my calories..lol. Have a good week guys |

Original Post by tenpets: How I lost my weight...Lets see how about we start with a few months before May when I wasn't on any diet at all. I weighed 264 lbs and this is what my diet and lifestyle consisted of. BEFORE Diet: Everyday I ate half to a full bag of chips I mean the 200g bags drank at least 6 cans of coke. Lunch would be Mc Donalds or KFC or pizza. Dinner would be pasta, or chicken wings, or steak with garlic bread, deserts would be cheesecake or whatever pastry was on hand. That was during the week on the weekends my boyfriend would take me for dinners and I would always order the richest best tasting dish and we would go for ice cream after. Lifestyle: Get up. Take kids to school. Come home sit on the computer for a few hours. Go out for lunch pick kids up. Sit on the computer for a few more hours, watch my soaps, take a snooze. Get up make dinner do dishes and some laundry. Have dinner at 8:00 pm eat dessert at 10:00 pm go to bed around 10:30 or 11:00. AFTER Diet: 1200 to 1500 calories consisting of fruit, veggies, chicken, fish, hummus, yogurt and snacks are 1-2.. 100 calorie chips or thinsations. No fried food, no desert, no bread, only whole wheat pitas. Eating out consists of Pita Express and I still have one cheat day of when we go out for dinner, but I order salmon and grilled veggies forgo the free bread and no desert. If my bf feels like ice cream I get frozen yogurt. I drink six bottles of water a day which is ideal for my weight and no juice or pop and I never liked tea or coffee. My treat drink is ice tea or sweet tea which is once a week. Lifestyle: Get up and take kids to school. Come home and workout for at least 2 hours doing turbo jam, or 30 day shred, or Leslie Sansone 5 mile power walk. I usually do 40 minutes of turbo jam and level 1 of 30 day shred or 5mile power walk and 30 day shred. I try to do two of something and I love collecting work out dvds that I get on ebay for great prices. I just bought zumba so I am looking forward to adding it too my workouts. I am a single mom so no time for the gym or money. Just rotating dvds. Get kids from school and finish my chores watch 1 hour of TV and then it's bed. No late nights snacks and dinner by 6:00 pm if I can't then a lite dinner.
Those are my secrets I think the diet is a key, but the magic trick is the exercise:)
I have decided not to post the final weights for July because I only really had about 10 troopers who stuck until the end and they have already posted their end weight. Once again thanks team...I will start a new challenge for August and September for those interested:) |

I honestly don't know what happened to me this past week..I have had been super busy, with the kids and taking my mom to the airport. I noticed I was not eating as much or drinking in enough water. I stepped on the scale and lost 10 pounds...so I stepped off and on again...and again...then tried my second scale cause yes one can never have too many lol. My scale says 222 pounds I weighed in at 232 last Monday...sold I'll take it. Here is hoping I don't gain it back again when I pick up my normal routine again:) Start Weight 236 July 6 235 July 13 232 July 20 222

Ladies I am very proud of all your successes so far and you should be to. Unfortunately we all have unforseen stresses in our lives and our weights take a back burner and because it's nice to have comfort food sometimes. Like sawerdshy said unless you eat 3500 calories plus in a few days chances are you won't gain a lot of weight. Lately I have been craving chips especially tostitos and salsa and you know what I ate them...just worked out extra. I know we can all do this Go!Team!Go! :) |

Thanks for all the support guys:) Yes the kids are doing better and I was able to get a work out in 5mile fat burner walking aerobics. It's low impact and I just make it work challenging by adding had weights and a weighted back-pack. Boy am I feeling it now, but I don't mind it's a pain for a better gain:) |

Worst week ever... All my kids (3) had a mild case of pneumonia. So I was up all night twice with my son on Monday and Tuesday..finally they are all on antibiotics and doing better. Needless to say I have been so tired and dragging myself around. I have only worked out twice this week and one day I would call 1/2 because I had to stop from exhaustion. I weighed myself today and have not lost at all this week and I don't predict I will lose any in the next two days. Now I know how much exercising helps to shed the pounds:) |

Original Post by imhoff: Oops! well I guess you will have to -2 from your weigh in weight. If your husband knows his weight get him to go on the scale and make sure it is off. That is what I do with my kids because they only really gain 1-2 pounds per year. My scale is digital and I am always off anywhere from 1-10 pounds wow. So I invested in the old analog scale. I can't say that my weight is to the decimal point of anything but oh well:) Good Job in not indulging when on the go..I know how easy that can be:) |

DO WE REALLY DRINK ENOUGH WATER??????? I found a site online that calculates how much water we should be drinking per day based on our weight, activity level and environment. The 8x8 (8, 8oz glasses) rule does not apply to everyone. Are you drinking too much or not enough??? |
