I gained a lb but as I said I ate and entire box of rice (oh num num num num...lol) last night and it made me super thirsty! I have drank 5 bottled waters just since 2am so I'm gonna chop it to water weight. Hopefully next week I can finally drop below 134! I'm gonna try to go for swim today to burn off some of the 720 calories I over ate last night ay ay ay :( CW:135 |

I have never had a cheat day!! I have been missing out. Last night wast the first time since I began that I fell off the band wagon and I ate an entire box of ice-A-Roni at 2 am after already eating all my calories for the day!!! I was about to go try to swim for a couple hours in panic to try and burn it off! I guess my question is on cheat days do you work out more to compensate or is the beauty of "cheating" suppose to be just indulgence with out guilt?? |

Today was a "hungry day" and the first time since I began that I fell off the band-wagon. I don"t know if I am PMS'ing or what but I have been hungry alllllll day! I tried everything it would go away I just finally gave in and ate an entire box of Rice-a-Roni (wish I was kidding but I'm not) Not feeling so great about it but I know when I get up tomorrow I will be right back on track... Does anyone else have days where no matter what you eat you are "starving" what do you do???? :( |

I used to wrap my belly when I went hiking..in the long run I did lose inches faster than when I didn't but you must make sure to drink LOTS of water!!! |

Weekly weighs in for sure! When should we do them maybe mondays??? What does everyone else think?
I'm trying to cut out alcohol too to kick this last 10 lbs in the butt. (I work at night clubs its soooo hard, I was having to make sure and save 300 calories for day I work just for alcohol!) |

No one should weigh every day especially not two times a day! Once a week is sufficient and a good idea. Just my opinion. |

About me 5'3 SW: 148 CW: 134 GW: 125 maybe 120 Not eating late was a bigger deal than I thought... this was the first time I counted calories instead of shooting for a quick fix fad diet and I'm very happy so far 9 more lbs to go!! I'm nervous a lil about maintenance too! I'm gonna check out the forum too Nice to meet you too!!! |

When I was 21 I tried it and gained 25 lbs pretty fast. When I got off it I had to take hormones because my period wouldn't return. The weight came off without much effort prob because I was very active at that age but I strongly recommend against Depo. It also made me extremely depressed and I had no period for 11 months (That cannot possibly be healthy). |

I think the key is weighing yourself once a week at the same time. Pref. in the morning before you have ate or drank anything for the most accurate results. My weigh fluctuates all through the day. |

I have no choice but to eat fast food from time and thank you to everyone who gave me some delicious new stuff to try. When I started I was at 150lbs and I'm down to 134!!! 9 more to go yayyyy |

For my height/frame the higher end of the BMI is heavy for me. The lower end is ideal for some but not all. I agree it should never be used as the end all be all and is not an accurate measurement for everyone. The media unfortunately pushes the idea that "thinner is better". They say the average woman is size 14-16 and average TV star is a size 2...no wonder so many aim for the lesser end of the BMI amongst having other issues. |

I obviously liked that persons advice best because I chose to try to use it. It was a lil confusing. I am sure I am not the first person who was eating too few calories and would like to get up to a healthy amount. All I'm asking is the best way to go about doing it, for myself and others. I am new to this, it took me a while to research and learn about about caloric intake, metabolism, and burning calories. It's not something you learn about over night especially when there are 500 websites telling you 300 different things. |

I am deathly afraid of having food allergies so I have never even tried sea food in my life. I'm not allergic to any foods that I know of so it is completely irrational but I can't help it. I won't kiss someone that has eaten sea food in the past three hours and if someone is eating it next to me I silently panic about juices squirting in my food. |

Just for the record this is hat the phord/cc thing told me. I don't want others to be confused by this!:
Nutritionists say that you can safely lose no more than 1% of your body weight per week. For the weight you gave (138 lb), you can safely lose about 1.38 lb per week. Because each pound of body fat contains 3500 calories of energy, your safe deficit is 1.38 lb * 3500 calories per pound per week = 4830 calories per week, which comes to 4830 / 7 = 690 calories per day. |

Sounds good I didn't even think of Rubios! I also do Chipotle crunchy tacos. Three of them with chicken, green and red salsa and lettuce is only 430 calories. |

This happens to me too I DJ at weddings and bar/bat mitzvah's. I often end up being at the gigs for around seven hours so I am kinda forced to eat what they are serving when allowed (100 cal snack packs don't cut it for that many hours!) It's so hard! I am also currently "dating" and have the same prob on dates. Sometimes the places I go to dinner don't have nutrition facts available and I don't want to look crazy to my date! The above tips are good. When all else fails I just go for small portions or the "healthiest option". It drives me crazy at the end of the day when I have to put a "?" instead of how many calories I ate in my journal :( |

L:300 cal Snack D: 300-450 cal Then lots of snacks (I think I officially bought everything at the grocery store that comes in 100 calorie packs and everything that is under a hundred calories ie. oranges, sugar free jello lol) I work graveyards so I start with lunch. I don't know if I'm doing it "right" or if there is a right or wrong way to spread out calories.

But how do I add them back in? Gradually or all at once? I am really not ok with gaining weight back my clothes just started fitting again! |

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
