By all means, don't feel intimidated.  I am sure I speak for everyone here when I say that none of us are completely happy with ourselves.  Plus, each one of us on here is at a different stage of our journey.  The "thin" ones you see on here more than likely weren't thin when they joined.  But, this site has helped them get there.  This is a fabulous site, and as you have found, a wonderful support system.  I hope that you take full advantage of all that it has to offer and that you discover the beautiful person that you are.

The good:

I can wear cute, trendy clothes in the jr's department.

My thighs no longer rub together when I walk.

My cholesterol is down into the healthy range.

I am able to jump around and dance and general be goofy with my kids.

My son doesn't tell me I'm fat anymore.

I am constantly being told how "tiny" I am.

People can't believe I used to weigh 75lbs more.

I've been told I look anywhere from 10-20 yrs younger than I did when I was 75lbs heavier.

The bad:

I am constantly cold.

It hurts my butt and my back to to sit on and up against hard surfaces.

My boobs are saggy.

I hate the loose skin on my tummy and my thighs.

Maybe.  I just went ahead and doubled it on my log.  That sucks!  Now I wish I would've eaten something else instead.  Oh well.  I know it's just one day, but my whole week has been filled with eating out and eating crap.  I just don't want to gain any weight.

Yep, I eat some form of candy just about every day.  Probably not a good thing, but I make sure to work it into my allowed calories.  My weakness is chocolate these days; the darker the better!  But, I can't eat just one.  It's too yummy and I am not that strong.

Hi there.  I am 5'3" and 35 yrs old.  I have a small frame and currently weigh around 110lbs give or take a few lbs, most often a couple of lbs higher.  I feel that I am at a good weight for my height.  However, my family tends to disagree and want me to gain 10lbs.  So, I would say between 110-125lbs would probably be a good weight range for your height and age.  Just my opinion.

Man, there are some tall women here. I am a bit envious.  Anyway, I am 5'3" 111-112lbs and I wear 2's and 3's in pants/jeans and small tops.  When I weighed 172lbs 2 1/2 yrs ago I was wearing 12's and 14's and lg/x-lg shirts.

I am struggling with maintenance as of late.  I think I have just reverted back to my old ways too bad and I was eating 1500-1600 calories per day and apparently I can't eat that much. I ate 1200 calories per day to lose.  I have put on 4lbs and I can't seem to get it back off.  But, I would be happy with just losing 2lbs and hold steady at 110lbs.  BTW:  I am 5'3 35yrs old.

As of this morning, I weigh 113lbs.  My lowest weight was 108 and I realize that is probably an unrealistic weight for me to maintain but I am happiest at 110.  It is TTOM and I did eat and drink quite a bit more than usual last weekend (went to Vegas with my mom and sisters).  I was 110.8 last Friday and I just figured it would've gone back down by now.  I am just sooooo bloated and I can feel the weight that I have put on.  It sucks!

I try to keep my sodium intake at no more than 2400mg per day and I drink 2ltrs of water per day during the week, usually less on the weekends.

I know what it takes to lose it, I've lost 75lbs.  I just don't want to gain it back. ;)

WOW!!!  I could have written this post.  I feel exactly like you do.  I am also 5'3" and have gone from 184 down to my lowest weight of 108.  I am, as of today, 113lbs which totally has me depressed.  I think maybe I had unrealistic expections as to how I would look when I got down to this weight.  I am harder on myself now then I ever have been.  I look in the mirror and all I see is fat, cellulite, loose skin.  But, when others look at me, they make comments like "do you even weigh 100lbs?"  I don't understand it and I guess I have no advice.  But, wanted to let you know that you are not alone.

 BTW:  Congratulations on your engagement!

Boy, can I empathize.  Since I have started maintenance I have gained 3lbs.  I am so scared that if I keep eating this amount of calories then I will continue to gain.  I was consuming 1200-1300 calories during weight loss and now usually eat between 1500-1800, more on the weekends, around 2000 per day. My goal was to stay at 110 for the rest of my life.  I weighed in at 112.2 this morning and that was down 2.5lbs from the weekend.  My "average" is now around 111.5 and it is driving me crazy.  So, anyway, I guess I really don't have any answer for you, as I could sure use some help myself.:(  Congratulations on the weight loss!

What's your secret?: Watch my calories closely, 1200 per day, during the week and allowed myself to splurge on the weekends.  I wanted to eat in a way that I could commit to for the rest of my life.  By the way, my actual starting weight was 184 right after I had my daughter in August 05 (I only gained 12lbs during pregnancy so my before pg weight was 172lbs) so true total weight loss is 74lbs.

I actually get comments all of the time.  These people don't realize what it took to lose the weight and that I have to maintain a certain eating "lifestyle" in order to keep the weight off.  Just because I'm thin now doesn't mean I can eat whatever I want.  I just got a comment last week from one of my neighbors.  I told her we were having mexican food for dinner.  She looked at me and said "Your actually going to eat?"  What the hell is that comment about?  People just need to keep their comments to themselves. For some reason it is apparently socially acceptable to make off comments to a thin person put heaven forbid they make an off comment to someone who is overweight.  I just don't get the double standards.  Oh well.  Their comments aren't going to make me gain weight.  I will continue doing what I'm doing regardless of what they think.  It's not their life.  Okay...stepping off of the soap box now. :)

Hi, I am a 35 yo working mom of 2 (7 1/2 and 2 on August 1).  My hardest thing is getting in exercise.  Frankly, once I have everyone taken care of and the kiddos are in bed I am so tired that I don't want to do anything except veg on the couch in front of the tv.  My father in law is making a book mount for my elliptical so I am hoping that will motivate me.  It sure makes the time go by quicker when I can preoccupy myself.  I have been maintaining for almost a year now and I continue to stay on this website and count calories to make sure that I don't gain it back.  No more yo-yoing for me. :)

I keep getting those kind of comments, too.  As a matter of fact, I was lectured by my drunk sister this past weekend.  People make comments about me wasting away.  My dr. asked me if I was bulimic or doing coke.  He said I look like a bulimic.  I don't know why people think it is okay to make thin comments but are kind enough not to say a rude word when you are overweight.  I don't get it either.  I wonder if it's because these people have seen me overweight, and comparatively I do look quite thin.  Whereas, people who didn't know me before don't say anything about my being too thin.  Whatever the reason, I wish they would stop it.

" If people tell me I'm tiny all the time, why do I feel fat?"

That is exactly how I feel!  I am glad that I am not the only one that feels like this.  I am 5'3" and bounce between 108-110 normally.  I am know up to 113 thanks to TTOM and it is killing me!  It is weird, but I am harder on myself now that I have lost a bunch of weight then I was when I was heavy.  Maybe I had unrealistic expections.  I don't know.  So, I don't know what to tell you except that you aren't alone in the way you feel.  Kinda sucks to feel that way doesn't it!?

I am up 4.5lbs in the past 5 days.  It is driving me crazy!!!  I have been eating over my daily allotment but I KNOW that I haven't eaten 14,000 calories over.  It is TTOM.  So, I am just HOPING it will go away and SOON!    In other words, I feel your pain.  You may just have consumed more sodium than usual.  That will certainly cause temporary weight gain.
