Oh god...it must be topomax! I lost 50 lbs in 6 months on that stuff. And my doc said, "Most women would like that".
Ugh. |

Good lord, that's a lot of energy put towards disliking yourself! Maybe you should make a list of things you like about yourself. And if you can't think of anything, you can at least put "I'm never the kind of jerk who would call someone ugly when they're around". Eat more and then what? Well then your body stops thinking that the you're starving! And stops pulling those stop gap measures that its pulling to help you live. Silly girl, be nice to your body! Actually, you write quite well.

Oh sweets...here's the deal. "I, speaking for myself, would rather be able to at least crack a small smile when I look in the mirror or be content with how I am than get to have an extra slice of cheese on my sandwich or a plate of pasta etc." The problem isn't that you're not skinny enough, its that you see yourself as a "troll" where most people would see themselves as downright svelte. It sounds like not getting "the extra slice of cheese" is making you feel you're in control of something, which I TOTALLY get. But why don't you focus a bit on other things that could help you feel in control? Why not try creating something? Or putting your all into school? Or getting to know your sisters on a different level? It might be more fun than not eating cheese.

I know its a tad cliche, but I've found that when I am in that "Me hungry, me want food" mindset, drinking a glass of water before eating really does help.
Congrats on the surgery. |

Well, it helped someone this today. Thanks, yesterday was a slip up day, but I think today will be what yesterday should be. Hard to remember this is a long term thing sometimes :) |

You can also use the new recipe tool. It lets you put in a recipe (if you make your own food) and analyses that, it also gives you an option to add a portion to your food log immediately. |

Last Wednesday I decided to go on a run. First run EVER. I put on my loosest shorts and pop went the button. Given that they're my only pair of shorts (I'm on a bit of a trip/hiatus) I had no choice but to go running in them anyway. I must say the fit MUCH better without a button! ;) |
