Thanks for the replies everyone... The "coke/meth" thing was a joke. I WOULDN'T do drugs and have never tried coke or meth in my life. Lots of good advice.... I AM concerned about taking in MORE calories than 1500.... Would be willing to add a protein shake into my day. As far as my trainer... He DOES switch things up and I think he was 'trying' to give me some tough love. I didn't feel the 'love' part though. Dove2424: Good point on the women trainer who is 35 or older. I think that would be a better fit for me. Wattydaddy: What is the amount of protein YOU eat each day? Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone........ I don't feel so alone or mad anymore. What a great group of people we have on Calorie Count. |

I noticed that problem you are describing when I first started out. My legs were getting BIGGER! I think the muscle was being built underneath the fat first. Then the fat started to come off. It took a LONG time for me to notice the fat coming off and had to work in some extra cardio in order for it to start coming off.... I still have a LONG way to go.

"I think 1500 a day is to high. As my doctor said eat what you want but don't eat over 1000 to start and you will lose weight and be honest with your calorie counting." Really? Only 1000 calories? Doesn't seem like very much. |

I would kill for 18% body fat! Anyways.... I broke down into tears after getting pinched and measured by my trainer dude yesterday. I have been working hard (exercise and diet) for a year... Only HALF way there??? I feel quite a bit different, but I guess it's not reality... His exact words to me were "Fix your personal ****"........ |

It took me about 2 weeks until I started seeing the scale move. I KNOW how frustrating that is when you are doing everything you are supposed to and it doesn't budge. With what you are doing, keep it up, you will see the scale start to move. |

OMGosh... An orange for breakfast.... I would not be able to make it on an orange alone. I WISH I COULD! Brainwashing yourself... I like it. I do think about food quite a bit when I'm not working. The evenings are the WORST. Especially after dinner snack time. |
