I did no problems! I actually was so into it I ended up running 22 minutes instead! I always cover the time on the treadmill with my towel and forgot to look so by the time I checked I was over! You're totally right cc31 the first few minutes are toughest but once you're in that groove you feel like you can go and go and go. Onto week 6! |

Tomorrow I'm tackling workout 3 of week 5- the 2 mile run. I'm a little bit nervous about making it the whole 20 minutes, but I was able to do the last workout with ease so I'm hoping for great results! Wish me luck! |

cc31: thanks for the info- I'll definitely check that out that website!
jacksnacks: there is nothing wrong with repeating a week! The program says that if one week is too big of a jump to just go back and repeat the previous week- no harm done! |

I just got back from my first run of week 4 and I was so proud that I did it! When i first read the outline it seemed like quite the jump from week 3 but definitely doable! My hip problem seems to have mostly gone away now- the new shoes really help and I make sure to stretch out the hips really well after my runs. |

Welcome tnbrat! Binging is definitely the devil in disguise and you have to find out what control works best for you but here are some suggestions to try! * Tapping on pressure points: I've seen this around a lot lately and it involves tapping repeatedly on areas of your head (forehead, temples, top of the hand, wrist) in order to curb your cravings. I've also seen it helpful to repeat something to yourself over and over while doing it...something along the lines of "I will not let my cravings control me" or whatever works for you! I guess it makes you stop and second guess what you're doing and distracts from the craving. * If you feel a craving coming on try going for a walk, switching rooms, or just doing something different than you currently are. Usually a change in behaviour at that minute can distract from the craving. *If you do a lot of your binging while watching tv, only allow yourself a small portion of something that you can only eat on commercials. We tend to overeat while watching tv because we are so engaged in the show we don't realize how much food we are stuffing in our mouths! Hope something works for you! |

The past few weeks have been a little frustrating as I've been losing and gaining the same 3 pounds. But today I officially hit 225, which means I'm at 30 pounds total loss! I think I've reached that dreaded plateau and the fact that I've been super stressed for a multitude of reasons this month is attributing to that. Now onto overcoming this damn plateau! |

It's so great to see that so many people love this program! I just started it recently too. Yesterday I finished W2D3 so I'm really looking forward to moving onto week 3! I love the feeling of accomplishment, it's such a rewarding program. The only drawback I've experienced was a sore right hip, but my running shoes were quite old so I upgraded and it's helped for the most part, just a tad sore sometimes (not nearly as bad though!) Has anyone else experienced sore hips (where your thigh connects)? |

Hello again everyone!
Laurabow: That is such great news that you've hit onederland! Congrats!
It's officially been one month since I joined Calorie Count and I weighed in at 228.5 today! That's 6.5 pounds in one month which I'm very happy with. I've almost hit that 30 pounds lost total. People are really starting to notice now which is nice feedback. |

It really is eye opening to realize how many calories I used to eat as a child. No wonder I put on so much weight over the years. I wouldn't think twice about having a chocolate bar and pop for snack, or ice cream everyday when I got home from school. My dad would bring home MacDonalds twice a week sometimes. Gross! Also if people used to offer me muffins, chocolate or cookies I would say "sure!' and accept without thinking. Now I politely refuse and sometimes they look at me like I have two heads followed by "why not?"- that can get mildly annoying! |

Hello! Well I've been tracking what I eat and recording all of my calories using this site. Last time I posted was on June 8th at 235 and I weighed myself today and I'm 233 on June 17! So 2 pounds in 9 days. I'm quite happy with that! I never had realized the amount of calories I was eating before I wrote it down. For a while I've been eating better, but just too many "better" calories. So now I find this to be very helpful with the counting. |

"I hate when i eat healthy, and a skinny friend comes and tells me : "How can you eat so little, i could never survive on that food" and continues to eat her chips." Oh this is definitely one of my biggest pet peeves. I see this happening at work all the time- skinny people eating chips, chocolate bars and pop for snack while I'm eating an apple. I'm fine eating the apple- but for them to make little comments like that or "oh are you on a diet?" is really bothersome. I also hate when people talk about being overweight and how awful it is....right in front of you. I have this one male friend/coworker who is very shallow and constantly picks about girls based on their looks- especially their weight. He even calls girls who are average weight fat. And he does all of this talking right to me. I found myself telling him off the other day calling him rude and inappropriate- boy that felt good. |

Hello everyone! I thought I'd give a forum a try to help me in my weightloss journey as I hear good things about using one! I've always struggled with my weight and I finally feel like I'm at a point in my life where achieving my weight loss goals is attainable! Age: 24 Height: 5'9" SW: 255 CW: 235 GW: 180-190 I'm still not positive about what I want my goal weight to be, but a general range is what I'm aiming for right now! I'll see what I feel best at. I've always gone to the gym, but irregularly. In the past few months I've made a point to go at least 3 times a week and have definitely noticed results myself and heard it from others. I've just recently started tracking my calories and I think that will really help me achieve faster results (but in a healthy way). I look forward to sharing stories with all of you!
