To wear nice clothes and look good in them, honestly. But also for other non- superficial reasons like my knees, back and feet. I'm starting to pay for what I've done to my body all these years. But...not for long!!!

Aaaaaaaah, help! Don't know what happened. I cut down on smoking cigarettes for a week and made spaghetti and meatballs over the weekend had like one meal on Sat. and had my TTOM and I'm back up to 238 today from 232 on Sat. morning. Usually I'm bloated the week before and then I lose lbs. when it's actually TTOM. I had my thyroid checked again last week--will find out if my metabolism is slowing down as a result tomorrow. I'm so frustrated right now I could eat McDonalds. But I won't! Have been swimming, 60 laps, every few days but have started smoking again. And...have been listening to Jordin Sparks, "One Step At A Time" on repeat. I'm determined to get to 200 by Christmas with or without Cinthroid!

Hi Sarahrip! Are you still replying to this thread? I started CC in June and haven't done so well so far, but am determined to be more strict this Fall. I am 5'4" and around 235 lbs. Started at 243. My first goal is to get to 200 lbs. I joined another challenge today and this forum and hopefully this will keep me checking in on a weekly basis. After 200 lbs. I'd like to get to 170, which I was at in my mid-twenties and I felt really good there--maintain that for a while and then maybe go for the gold and get to 140 and possibly 128 lbs which is what CC suggests. But honestly, 170 is my ideal at this point!

I fell off the exercise wagon a few weeks ago but am climbing back on tonight--going swimming. Also-gulp- I quit smoking today--so we'll see what happens with that too.

I wish everyone else here good luck reaching their goals as well.

Hi  Austiemg!

Not sure if I'm supposed to reply to your initial post or send you a message to join. The reason I'd like to join this challenge is because I actually joined CC in June and have only lost 10 lbs. Actually, I lost 18 and gained back like 8 or 9. I joined the lose 40-50 lbs. by Thanksgiving challenge and I think I'm going to fail that one. Basically I'd like to join to force myself to check-in every week and stay on track. I have not been strict about making my calorie intake everyday and have even binged a few times so I may have to have my name un-bolded, but I still would like to check in every week whether or not I cheat or even if I don't cheat and still don't lose weight. I am currently around 236, started at 243 and am a 5 foot 4 inch female. My first goal is to make it to 200. And my second goal is to check-in at this clean eating challenge forum every week.

Starting today I will be posting my progress...and it WILL be progress! Good luck to everyone!

Thank you Lonestarpenny!!!

Last night was a party night and I overate but I know from the past that all i have to do is start over again today and eventually I'll be back on track. I've lost about 18 lbs. so far and am really happy about that but am thinking about incorporating exercise more to help come down faster, but then again you are right about "slow and steady wins the race." Am thinking about swimming too. I used to compete in high school and though I never dropped below 165 lbs. I was in great shape. I too had back surgery in March of this year and walking, esp. in the morning, is difficult because I'm so stiff but the time is drawing near to start pushing myself a bit more since physical therapy just isn't enough. It's great to hear that you have improved your physical fitness in just a year. That's gives me great hope since I not only want to lose weight and look better I want to stop heaving and getting out of breath when I walk up hills and stairs. I'm 30 years old and this should not be happening. I think it's amazing that you lost 70 lbs. Congratulations!!! CC suggests a goal weight of 128 for me but I would be happy with getting down to 160 and staying there for a while. I've been cooking more than eating out with my b-friend, (cooking more vegetables more than I ever have in my life!) and he's lost about 20 lbs. too and he's not even on CC. We are lucky to have such supportive partners.

Thank you again for your supportive reply. I wish both of us continued healing from surgery and motivation to keep excercising. Feel free to keep me updated and congrats again. Keep up the good work!

Oh, I also joined and Thanksgiving day challenge on CC. Trying to reach 190 by that time. Maybe you'd like to join too?

Wow! What an inspiration! I have about 100lbs. to go and just started CC 3 weeks ago and have lost 13 lbs. It's so exciting to hear from people who have lost close to or around 100lbs.  If you can do it I can do it! Thanks for the motivation. You look great!

According to this site, http://www.diethealthclub.com/do-you-know-if- you-are-fat-for-your-height.html, it sounds like you are about 20 lbs. underweight. I read your edit saying you only weigh 88lbs. for your height, 5 foor, 1inch?

According to this site and most BMI charts, for your height, you should weigh anywhere from 100 to 130 lbs.

I think your problem is related to being underweight.
