| Weight Loss | 5'2ers, what's your goal weight? | Jul 26 2009 07:48 (UTC) |

I am a very muscular 118, also recovered from an ED. I am 30 in less than 3 months;( My goal weight going on ten years is anything below 110. I think my metabolism is ruined though (i used to weigh 70 when was 13-19) I hardly eat any calories and am addicted to exercise. I do hope this scares others out of starving themselves. I wish someone would have warned me about ruining my metabolism! |

Ive had everything from a tumor and an ovary removed at 24, to bloated and tired at 29. Found out I had a cyst, yeah right. I don't want kids so about three months ago I had a hysterectomy. Turns out I had 20 plus cysts and severe endometriosis (don't trust an ultrasound) Anyway, I take a tiny estrogen pill once a day and am completely recovered and couldn't be happier. |

well, getting old sucks. I get you more than you can imagine. I am almost 30 and I used to be anorexic so my metabolism is crap. I am 5'3 and 118, but am desperate to be 105ish....Btw, ive been 118 for almost 10 years and I'm an exercise addict. Nothing ever changes. The only advice I can give you is don't go back to starvation mode at any cost. Get more protein and less carbs, this can be tricky because you're a vegetarian, but more nuts and less yogurt, potatoes, bread....You get it...keep in mind that you are doing way more than most people could ever imagine, you're a rock star! Stay healthy, trust me its worth it. Now if you have any advice for me or want to chat please don't hesitate:) |

I love meat too. BUT, the only meat I allow in my house and in my mouth is lean chicken, and sometimes turkey but I cant cook. Anyway I just buy the frozen chicken tenders and throw 3 of them (100 cal) in my pizza oven, which has never been used for anything but chicken, and in 20 minutes its good to go. Throw it on some lettuce with cucumbers and tomato's! |

Original Post by fooledbyfaith: agreed! I have two of these abdominal wrap things and I love the sweating and the support they offer...Also if you feel bloated at all it makes it feel a lot better to have it suck you in for a run> |

Hi there, I used to suffer from bloating also and it was definitely from the veggies! My suggestion is to spread them throughout the day, and never eat too many at once. Also I found cooked was better than raw in most cases. |

| Weight Loss | Fear of not doing enough? | Jul 03 2009 05:21 (UTC) |

hi brandon. Just incase you didnt know, you have already done more than most and taking that first step, well good for you. So, since you're 24 you do have time to make this happen, plenty of time. I think if you are just starting the healthy eating and exercising that it is best to take it slow so that you don't get overwhelmed and so that you have somewhere to go when you drop weight. The more you lose the more you have to work out and eat even better. Also if you want to do workouts at home you can use your dumbbells for all kinds of exercises, just research it on line and do some lifting like every 2 days, and for now the cardio you are doing is great. If you can get out and walk, that would be the best thing you can do. Much better for your knees and ass:) Later i recommend an elliptical machine. They burn lots of calories and are a great low impact alternative to running. (i am new to this too so I dont know how to look at your food stuff) Keep up the good work! (oh yeah, I am an exercise addict:) |

| Weight Loss | Advice that REALLY works for those on the 130-110's!!!!! | Jun 27 2009 06:01 (UTC) |

Omg! Exactly, thats exactly what I don't get! Why is it that I have read a million times that it is calories in calories out? All you have to do is burn more calories than you consume huh!? Well you would about die if you knew what my deficit was, but here I sit at 118! I gotta say, now that its been so many years of what im guessing is starvation mode, I am scared to death to add calories or exercise less because I may now, and obviously am, one of those people that has to eat less in order to maintain a higher weight>< I fear that I am screwed. Also curious how I make threw the day at all. I have a super active job on top of it and seem to have energy to continue. However my heart rate is 44, people always seem shocked by that and I say its because I work out so much, and it is. I just wish I knew if there is any hope of weighing less, even like 110! |

Wow, I had no idea there were so many people out there with my problem! I am absolutely addicted to exercise, weights and cardio. I am 5'2, 118. I have been trying to lose wight for 10 years, seriously. I did have an ed prior to that period where I weighed 70 lbs. Ever since I hit 118 I have been stuck, I have done everything under the sun too, everything! I am an extremely healthy eater and probably don't eat enough, but it doesn't seem to matter, the number is always the same...I don't understand why I was able to get down to 70 (I know that is just awful) but now cant lose 5 freekin pounds> I am 29.
