Thanks so much!! Yes I think I need to give up on the running at least until I'm closer to goal. I'm a good 30 pounds overweight so it's really hard on my joints. Why walk on an incline every other day though? On the off days should I just walk at 0 incline maybe at a faster pace? If you don't mind my asking how much did you have to lose and how long did it take you to lose it from walking?? |

I know this is a pretty old post but I am starting to use the treadmill. Before I was strictly an elliptical person and kickboxing. My knees are not the greatest but I want to change it up. For the past couple days I have done the treadmill for an hour (walk at 3.5mph/run at 6.0 mph no incline) and I am hurting. NOt just workout sore but my shins and knees are hurting. I am going to the gym tonight and just don't want to run on that thing! |

Thank you both for the encouragement. I do use a different food tracking tool online to track but once night comes i usually stop tracking it. I enjoy working out for the most part so I will def keep at that. I just wish I could get that old drive back that I had before. People say it's because I'm married now! But I don't want to be that person you know! I don't know, maybe between wedding, honeymoon, planning, saving, money, quitting smoking, quitting low carb, etc my body just sort of shut down. But I need to wake it up! |

Thanks! What I did was Monday 60 on the elliptical, Tuesday 40 minutes elliptical and 20 minutes stairmaster and yesterday I did 42 minutes stairmaster (I was dying!). Tonight I will be doing 60 minutes on the stairmaster! OF course I did some weight training with it all also. Mostly upper body and I am sore today! I think tonight I am going to skip the weight training and just do the 60 on the stairmaster. I really like it b/c I do feel like I am getting more out of it! |

I've still been going regularly. I take them at night with dinner so I have enough food in me from the day so they don't make me sick. I have read that they can make you gain and also that they can't. I have also read that they could just make you retain more water? I've been drinking a lot of water hoping that will help. I just hate that I'm gaining! HOneymoon is next week and we are going to Mexico and I need to fit in all my clothes! haha |

Thanks for the response! Yesterday and today I did the punch,kick and jam and also fat blaster. My abs hurt but it's awesome! I just ordered the 5 rockin' workouts that come with Turbo Sculpt, Ab Jam, Cardio Party, 20 Minute and LEarn and Burn. Which would you say is your favorite?? Is the turbo sculpt still cardio or mostly just toning? |

Wow this post is OLD. But......I am too worried about bulking up. I do a lot of resistance training, weights and I am starting to do my cardio with weighted gloves. I really want to slim down my upper body. It is muscular but also "flabby". Will this work? I'm worried about doing the cardio while wearing the weighted gloves. Jessica |

I know this is an old thread but does anyone else do this? I got home from work yesterday and just didn't feel well (throat hurt really bad). I took some NyQuil and was in bed at 7:30! I got up this mroning at 8:00 so I didn't work out. But I want to work out since I took a break last week and only worked out 3 days! I really want to get my 5 days in this week and the weekend is crazy I know I won't have time! I want to go home tonight and do taebo. I think it will help but my fiance thinks I need to rest more. I just feel like I have been "resting" more than anything b/c I took a break last week and I want to get back in the swing on things! And ideas??? Jessica |

What a great thread! I am finally starting to watch what I eat more carefully trying to stay between 1600-1700 cals a day. I have been working out a lot but not losing any weight. I think the calorie counting is huge so I am going to start incorporating that into my daily routine. Thanks! |

That's an excellent idea! Yes the calories are with activity level included. So you do like a zig zag type diet. That sounds interesting; I think I will look more into that. Thanks!!! |

Thanks! Yeah I don't enjoy the elliptical; I find it boring. Especially at 7:00 in the morning! I like taebo so I thought I would just do a different dvd every day to keep it interesting. I am also going to start counting my calories more; I have just been focused on carbs but I think I need to work on calories also. I am trying to stay at 1600-1700 a day. I know my fiance knows what he is talking about but I just feel like I did a great workout after taebo whereas on the elliptical it's a good workout but it's just so "easy" I guess you could say. |

Does anyone have any other thoughts on this? I LOVE taebo. That is what I want to do everyday! I have about 15 dvds so I keep them different daily. My fiance thinks I need to do the elliptical twice a week and then I can do taebo the other 3 days. I really hate the elliptical. It's sooooo boring! I don't have a gym membership so all I have at home is my elliptical and taebo. Can weight loss really occur just with videos if I do a different one each day or is the elliptical just as important. Don't get me wrong I can do the elliptical twice a week but I am just kinda strolling along bored you know. Jessica |

Haha! yes! I love jump rope!!! Bootcamp classes are great! I guess I was wondering if doing something different every day has helped people lose more weight. Or if people just swear by the elliptical or if there is this one dvd they always do b/c it works so great or anything. |

Yes that is a very good idea! This morning I just did 45 of elliptical and 15 of weights but I am changing that to 45 elliptical and 30 weights. I would only have to get up an extra 20 minutes early so it's totally worth it! Thanks!! |

I do something different everyday. I do taebo MWF and elliptical T/Th. I stick to the same taebo for a week (so 3 times) and then I will do a different DVD the following week for the week (3 times). I really don't like the elliptical so I find if I do the taebo it keeps me motivated b/c I enjoy doing that. |

Those sound like great ideas!! I got up this morning at 7 to taebo. And for some reason getting up this morning was harder than getting up yesterday at 4! I don't know why! My fiance was so proud of me for getting up yesterday. He didnt' really think I would since i have had so much trouble waking up before. But I am pretty sure that I am going to have to go to these meetings every Thursday and I don't want to miss Thursday workouts. So at least now I know that if these meetings are going to turn weekly I can do it! It's only once a week!! So this week (I am working out tomorrow and purposely scheduled my dog's grooming appt for 8 to force me out of bed) I would have worked out only 4 days but all were in the morning! Next week I'm aiming for 5 am workouts. MWF Taebo Ultimate Bootcamp and TTH 60 minutes on the elliptical. So I am going to a friends tonight and everyone wants pizza. I LOVE pizza but am trying to stick to low carb. Any tips? I know I can eat before I go but seriously if it's in front of me I will cave!!!! I was thinking of getting thin crust b/c at least that's less carbs but I don't know! I had a Jimmy Johns "unwich" for lunch (basically they make the sandwich but wrap it in lettuce instead of bread). It was sooooooo good!!!! Lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapenos, turkey, bacon, mayo and mustard. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Jes |

I did it!!!!! I got up this morning at 4AM!! I worked out from 4:20-5:20 on the elliptical and then showered, went to my meeting and now I'm at work! It was tough, I'm not gonna lie! But I'm proud of myself! I was in bed at 8:50 and probably asleep by around 9:30ish. :) |

Thanks! I was thinking about skipping tomorrow since it's so early but I am already planning on working out Saturday so if I skip tomorrow that's only 3 days this week and I want to get 4 in. I move my alarm so I have to get out of bed but it's still by my bed; maybe I will move it farther away! :) I got up this morning and did taebo. It was difficult but once I got going it was great and I was proud of myself after! |

I measure my weight in pounds. I don't have a scale that measures body fat. I also just go by how my clothes fit (ex I used to have to airdry my jeans so they would fit and now I put them in the dryer so they fit!). I did register for a scale (weight watchers one) that measures body fat so hopefully I will get it at my bridal shower. |

I like the idea of Friday weighing also. My big motivation is my wedding. It may sound superficial but I want to look awesome in my dress! Especially my upper body. I got up this morning and did taebo full throttle. Tomorrow I plan on getting up and doing an hour on the elliptical. I have to be up tomorrow at 4!!! I have a meeting at 7 and if I want to work out I have to before work. Any tips on how to get up THAT early!!?? I'm nervous! |

I had a great 4th but I'm so sore from all the boating! I did not work out yesterday or today. Planning on getting up tomorrow - Saturday for early workouts. I just found out I have to go to a meeting Thursday at 7am which means I ahve to wake up Thursday at 4AM TO WORK OUT. I am worried. I really want to be able to do this because it seems like I am going ot have these meetings every Thursday at 7AM so Thursdays will have to be my early early days and M, T, W, F I can get up at 7 to work out. Any tips on how to get up THAT EARLY. I don't want to get too much sleep b/c I don't want to be overly rested. I was thinking of going to sleep around 10ish tomorrow. Help!!!! |

Wow that is so interesting! Thanks! I have been saying I want to try HIIT so I think this sounds great. I try to not focus on the scale too mcuh because it can be frustrating. I try to more go how my clothes fit and how my arms look. Thanks for all the advice!! I'm surprised you said to eat that much protein. Everything I heard said to take your body weight and multiply by .37 (which for me is 66 grams a day). Is that not right? If I eat a gram per pound that's 180 grams a day. Isn't that too much?? |

Yes I would like to lose 15 by September. I do a lot of cardio but the taebo is bootcamp and amped with the bar and resistance bands as well. I do have a weight bench at home and some weights, maybe I will start doing that! |

I have been thinking of doing HIIT on the elliptical but I just feel like I can't get a good workout in only 25 minutes! Right now I do an hour at a 3 (resistance goes to 7 on mine) or kickboxing. It just seems like 25 minutes isn't that much. And is it annoying to be watching the time the whole time for when to go faster and when to slow down, etc.... I like listening to my mp3 player and just forgetting about the time. What do you think? |
