My sister's version is #1. It's not Christmas without her singing it loudly throughout the house. |

Hey all! This past week's been super busy. I was hoping that after school, I'd get a rest, but this is my 1st 40 hour week since this summer, and I'm so not used to it yet. >.< Brag: I havn't had fast food all week. I've packed my lunch evey day, which has been a problem for me lately. And I get to go grocery shopping tonight, so more healthy foods to enjoy tomorrow. :) Desire: To find more presents. I think I'm almost done with my mom, but I've hardly gotten anything for my sister or dad and havn't found a thing for my boyfriend. I love this season, but thinking up gifts for people is hard work! Gratitude: Even when I have a tough, busy week, you gals are here to come to and celebrate the good things in life, even when things can get a bit hectic. :D |

Dear Santa, My best friend (ex best friend now, I guess) hates me because of my mom's decision, 90% of my friends are unemployed and unhappy about it, and my sister has to work on Christmas, 20 hours away. I hate my job and am wondering if it's because the environment or the career field itself. I'm stressed because I don't think my grades will be good enough to get LH and am sorry I told my dad it was a possibility, because I'm afraid of disappointing him. I've spent way too much on Christmas and am no where near done. I hope I can count on the liquor of your choice Christmas morning? Thanks, Foffles. :/ |

Original Post by dnrothx: Dear Santa, I understand that everyone is struggling in the current job market. However, you produce all of your goods in house and the size of your customer base has not seen a significant drop. In fact, I have heard that many children will be getting less from you this year, so I have to wonder if you are actually profiting from the economic decline? Either way, if I don't get to enjoy this holiday season without the high pitch squeak of my coworker, I will be forced to give up my position on the nice list in order to achieve my desired holiday wish. Thanks again, P.S. I assumed you would be fine - and possibly more comfortable - with the questionable grammar of a sleep deprived college student considering your average correspondent is 12 years of age. :P |

Dear Santa, I am applying for employment in your establishment. I believe I would be well suited to make toys, care for reindeer, or any other holiday chores you may require. I would be willing to work for minimum wage. Although it would be a pay cut, the annoying little buggers in your workshop have got to be better that the high pitch whispers of the woman in the cube next door. Concidering the lack of people who would be willing to move to the freezing North Pole and the lack of job market where I live, I believe this would be a possitive buisiness venture for us both. Thank you for your concideration, P.S. If I can't get a job, could my coworker atleast lose her voice? |

I listen to pretty much anything. Not big on genres without lyrics (clasical, jazz, annoying rap >.>), but anything else. My favorite band is Doug and the Slugs, but most havn't hear of them. Lately, I've been fond of Ingred Michalson, Mandy Moore, Reba, Katy Perry, Ace of Base, Kate Bush, Jessica Andrews, Shania Twain, Kings of Leon, Lady Antibelum, M2M, Bo Burnam, Kiesha Cole, Avril Lavigne, Skye Sweetnam, The Decemberists, Tegan and Sara, Laura Marling, Sixpense None the Richer ... or whatever's on the radio. |

Nancy: I live in the Dayton area (Xenia) so not too far. We moved here in 2000. :) And awesome job on the 1000 calories burned! hth: Thanks. :) And I hope you enjoy your 5 day vacation! I know I'm defiantely looking forward to my 4 days off. ^_^ Brag: My sister requested off for my graduation. So I'll see her in June at the latest. ^_^ Hopefully, we'll see her sometime sooner, maybe the week before school starts. Desire: To stay focussed.Part of me wants to leave early today, but I know I shouldn't. Just a few more hours... Gratitude: That I have a job in which I can choose my hours. That I have a job at all with how much people are strugling right now. |

Lady is a 1ish year old Cocker Spaniel. Evil little... >.> We also have 2 cats. Ayla is mostly white with a couple orange/beige spots and Cookie is black/brown/grey stripes. They're my little cuties. ^_^ They're both a few years old. Then, there's the tank of random fish. The only one that's names is Teal'c, the dragon fish, because he looks like a Goa'uld (stargate fans will get this). |

I agree with most people here. Age only matter if you make it matter (assuming you're both legal, of course). My boyfriend is a year and a half older than me, which is really not much of a difference... I think it makes more of a difference now (21/23) that it will when we're older. One of us being legaly able to drink and the other not wasn't a problem. It does get a bit annoying when he says 'That was before your time' on the rare condition... it may be toublesome to someone who actually in a situation where that is valid. I think it helps that I'm a little more 'settled down' than him. I'm ready to get an apartment and think about kids and a house. He's more into getting an appartment and hanging out with friends. Part of that could be because I'm getting ready to graduate and he's still got 2-4 years of college to go (on financial hiatus until Spring or Fall). |

hth - Thank you for your well wishes. ^_^ And I love your brag! Nancy - Sadly, I didn't do DDR last night. And I know what you mean about it being a challenge every single day. I've only been seriously working on my weight since June, but it's still so easy to get off the bandwagon. And thoughts like "One day won't hurt" are my downfall. But, if you just think, "One day of good eating won't hurt me either", that sort of helps me realize that I may be craving that treat now, but I'll get no satisfaction out of eating it down the road. And, I give my cravings a week. If I still really want a certain food a week later, I'll get it. like I've been seriously craving a burger king origional chicken sandwich with mayo (I occasionally get it, but only with ketchup because that cuts almost 100 calories!) so I finally let myself enjoy one... and now, no more cravings. I think I'm going to have to give in on this chocolate cake donut craving soon though... been thinking about it for 2 weeks... >.< And your parents are from Ohio? How odd, I live in Ohio. >.< And earlier this fall, I traveled through Atlanta. Small world. >.< rocconess - Good to hear that things are going well for you. I hope your move goes well. And I hope everyone here has a wonderful time getting ready for thanksgiving and enjoying the holiday. Brag: I found out some of my grades. 3 A's, a B, and 2 P's (if the course is 0-1 credits, it's pass/fail rather than a grade). I'm ecstatic! I thought I'd lost my shot at getting latin honors. Right now, I have to get an average of 3.76 the rest of the year to get it... tough, but not as impossible as I was thinking. Especially since I just have electives left. *crosses fingers* Either way, it looks like all my stressing and studying worked. ^_^ Brag2: I packed lunch again today. ^_^ More healthy food. Desire: Today and tomorrow to go by smoothly, so I can enjoy my 4 day weekend. ^_^ Gratitude: My boyfriend. He stuck by me and encouraged me throughout this quarter. He put up with me when I was in 'crazy-stress' mode. I love the bugger. ^_^ Only 7 months at most 'til we will be living together. ^_^ Gratitude2: My mom is getting me to help her clean out the basement. And me and my boyfriend can keep anything we want for our apartment. And all the money from selling stuff will go to our apartment too. ^^ |

Either way, "Slapping stuffing on the outside of the bird was an inspired way to hide the fact that it had been partly eaten by a raccoon. Of course, since your daughter asked about it while she was carving, it didn’t really work" totally made my day. ^_^ |
