Hi, I'm soo sorry about your gain. If it helps, I'm in the exact same boat - I went from 173 to 150, and since Christmas I'm back up to 167.
Feel free to friend me and I'll happilly support you as much as I can. |

Thanks for the support guys. And I know Malibu = pure yumminess! Thankfully food won't be an issue - the club doesn't serve food and our town is very small so nothing will be open at that time! 600 calories is taking in to account that the night will start with a couple of 'neat' Malibus at home before we get started... What I will do it have a glass of water every 3 drinks or so and hopefully that will help!

I want to lose enough weight so that I can swap clothes with my friends, create my own individual look, and just once feel like guys might secretly want me when they look at me. |

I'm in a similar boat (being dragged for a night out and I will HAVE to get drunk because it's both expected and boring without it but I'll be good on the food front.) I suggest saying 'no' to the doner kebab. I know it's not easy, but then you'll feel a little bit better afterwards, eating the other stuff. Focus on the McDonald's being your 'first' treat instead. Hope that helps. |

My motivation is that I finally want to know what being thin feels like. I want to wear all the clothes that I don't fit into now and I want to wear smaller clothes even than that. I also don't want my friends to see me as the 'fat one who also complains about being fat but never loses weight' anymore (I'm sure they don't think of me QUITE that harshly, but that's how I feel I come across). I also want a relationship - I want to feel attractive in front of a man. And finally, I want to avoid diabetes - something my dad got through a terrible diet.

I'm in - 167lbs and hoping to be at 150lbs by mid August. I've literally only started my diet yesterday and it's been so long since I've been on a calorie controlled diet (been on slimming world instead) that I almost feel skeptical it will work...but I am making the effort! |

Firstly - well done on quitting smoking. Secondly - I'm totally with you. Last time I logged on I was 145ish. Now I'm 167. And I don't have the quitting excuse either! Hope we both reach our goals hun xx |

Thank you both for your advice. Sadly treadmills are out of my price-range but I do have a exercise bike that's mind-numbingly boring. Stairs - though a great tip - is also out of the question. I live in a block of flats and you can really hear when someone goes up or down stairs. I'd drive my neighbours around the bend! Thankfully I have no sweets to throw out (my naughty food tends to be eaten in one big splurge) so the cupboards can be filled up with healthy stuff right away. I'm on day one now and have had a good day so far. I bought healthy food and have eaten plenty while still being under the 1200 mark. I also stopped saying 'I'm miles away from anywhere' and instead vowed to walk to my local shop instead of driving (for a big shop, it would be impossible, but I figured even I could walk when all I wanted to do was buy a bottle of water and get change for parking tomorrow). So I went and it turned out to be a shorter walk than I imagined (only about an hour there and back) and felt pretty damn good doing it. A little worried, as the scale said I'd gone up two pounds tonight - but I'm hoping that's water and the time of day. |

Hi - and thanks for the support. Thankfully I'm not a heavy drinker (as I live in England I've been legal for 3 years so am well used to it now) so at least that's one way of keeping it off (though as I've got a night out planned on Saturday - my first for 6 months - I really shouldn't get too cocky!) I've got some exercise tapes that I can dig out, and I will have a look for other types of exercise to do. Does anyone else have any advice to give me the kick up the backside I need? |

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
