as a server at a national chain restaurant my opinion is that it was probably just a mere oversight. I bring bread and other deserts, and extra butter and mayo and fattening dressings to people who need them ALL THE TIME. That's my job. Plain and simple. Do we talk about the 300 or 400lb person in the back kitchen who continues to ask for more and more ( of anything) you bet we do. But you (the guest) never hears it. We also talk about the rude and demanding and just generally negative folks we have the displeasure of comming in contact with on a daily basis as well. However, that's our job. People are going to make mistakes and forget things from time to time. Blowing it out of proportion and taking everything personally only upsets you. You may stiff us on a tip but more than likely the next twenty or so customers won't. I am not nicer to attractive or thin or people dressed expensively with jewelry hanging all over them. It's ususally in the first 15 seconds when I greet people at the table that I can tell where it's going from there. When people don't even acknowledge that I've introduced myself greeted them etc. and all they do is instantly start with the " I wants" I know right then that I have " those" kind of people sat. I am more likely to go out of my way for nice people, that's just the way it is.  I'm sure the server didn't decide whether or not you needed bread, that doesn't mean we don't think about it. We're humans, not mindless robots. Stop being so sensitive. We in the restaurant business often talk in the back out of ear shot, and the people who are so picky and demanding, we really wish you would just stay home and eat .

The Lounge Death of Michael Jackson vs death of Elvis Jun 26 2009

Michael Jackson was a part of my pre teen and teenage years. I remember me and my gf stephanie who I haven't seen in years doing dance routines to Thriller, and skating to Beat it at the skating rink on Friday nights..... I thought he got pretty out there in the last several years, but remembering his music brought back such fond memories of a fun and youthful time in my life. I was saddened when I heard he had died today. Then I sat and thought of how we just loved his music years ago. I hope he's remembered for that more than anything.

Love True Blood. I just finished the first two episodes of the 2nd season the other day. I wait till they air then download them. I watched the entire 1st season in a matter of days a couple of months ago. The other day I watched an older but still good Vamp movie: Dracula 2000 cuz it has Gerard Butler as Drac. it was good. He's no Edward Cullen, but it was worth watching. I've recently read all the Twilight series and I enjoyed them, especially the last two in the series. Gave me lots of little talks with my 19y/o daughter. Then of course we had to go buy the movie, and the cd etc.... vampires always seem so sexy. Remember Brad Pitt in Interview with a Vampire, by far the best looking vamp ever !!!Wink
