I'll try that out; also, my BMR is around 1500, but with my activity level my daily burn is around 2000 cals, so that shouldn't be causing my plateau per se.

Thanks for the reply hatamoto!  I don't have weights, and I can't afford a gym membership right now.  Are pushups and other exercises like that sufficient until I can join a gym?

Any other opinions on upping protein?

Hi guys!

Sorry it's been a while, life has been crazy and I just moved apartments.  I've been on a nasty plateau for a few weeks now, hovering around 153.  I've been trying to zig zag calories, but it's not really working.  Don't really know what to do, so I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing and hope it breaks soon!

Chrissy:  Good question! Hahaha, on Mondays and Wednesdays I work at nights and usually get home around 8:45, and I know I will come back really hungry and tired and less "able" to eat a light dinner.  So, on these days I try to save my calories for dinner.  However, yesterday, I lost track of how many calories I had consumed, and I usually don't eat so few during the day, so I ate a little more for dinner than I usually do, even on those particular nights (for example, last night I had two servings of pasta instead of one, and three meatballs instead of two).

Also, Gala Apples are delicious!  My favorites, actually.  Try to see if they have them in your grocery store!  They're sort of like fuji, but sweeter.

Chrissy -

I was at my high this winter, around 172 (I'm 23 female 5'7.5"), however, I've always hovered around 160-165.  I've lost about 20 pounds and I'm around 152.  My goal is 135.  As for exercise...well, it's been hard since my school's gym is closed for the summer, and I don't have the money right now to join a gym.  However, I walk a ton, I stand when I work a lot of the time, and I'm always puttering around the house doing little projects and try to stay as active as I can without going to the gym.  I've also volunteered to help my friends move out of their apts this summer, just to get that weight lifting in there :)
