Yeah, I wanted to, but I'm not much of a cook, and this was kind of last minute planning.  But I definitely will look online for healthy homemade stuffings.  With maybe ezekiel bread.

Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Yeah, as a matter of fact, I was thinking about apple sauce b/c the do subsitute in bake goods.  But then I was thinking that the stuffing would taste a little too much like apple.  Not sure :T

Sounds like a good idea though..

Yes it is! Thank you!  I'm not good with cooking :/ LOL.
Then I'll leave it as is.  I'll just add water.  Oh and it says the dry mix is 110 calories.  So if I don't add anything, will 1/2 cup of the prepared mix still be 110?  Or does the stuffing get smaller or something?

Can't do the mushroom soup :( Sisters are allergic.... but the reduced fat milk doesn't sound too bad.

Still a little hesitant on what to use.  Maybe I don't need a spread or alternative, just water?

What the hell? How can someone be so insensitive? Is this common among many people with Aspergers syndrome?

 Does your father have Aspergers?

Btw, don't let that bother you... just give him a dirty look next time.

We all think he does. I do give him dirty looks, but he doesnt acknowledge them. :/

Sorry for my $0.02, but being insensitive has nothing to do with Aspergers. :/
There are so-called "normal" people who are are just as insensitive or more and have no excuse for being just that.  I know - my brother is autistic and he has this innocent, honest, caring, sensitive nature.  I know and have worked with many people with autism & aspergers and they are the most innocent loving, honest people I know.  More honest than you or me.  And each and every person on this spectrum has their own unique individual personality just like you and me.  I know this one boy with autism who is very quiet and kept to himself, and his psychologist told us that that has nothing to do with his autism, the doctor said that if he had been what you may think "normal", he would still be quiet and reserved.  So, if your father has Aspergers or not, he would still be a big JERK.  That is just who he is.  Sorry, its not the "aspergers".

:/

Didn't want to offend you, just inform.
Austistic people are no less intelligent than us, but maybe more.  It is just a communication disorder, they cannot communicate as well or quickly as us.

Sorry again, for having a jerk as a dad.  Keep strong with your goals... got it? flaunt it....who cares what people think :)

Foods Snack Ideas? Nov 14 2009
15:29 (UTC)

Well, yesterday I was craving something warm and sweet so I invented this apple pie like thing.  I took 1 cup apple (chopped) and put it in the microwaved until softened, but not melted.  Then I took 3/4 cup of Kashi's Heart to Heart Warm Cinnamon cereal and crushed it a bit and mixed it in with the apple, and put it again in the microwave for about 40 sec.  It tasted really good, like your healthy apple pie.  And only 175 calories - very filling!  Good in the cold weather!

Other ideas - Organic yogurt, frozen fruit w/ plain yogurt (really good), sauteed carrots in a bit of extra olive oil (grill until a bit crispy), 1 hard boiled egg w/ a little mustard, omelet (1 egg) with sauteed (olive oil) onions and green peppers, bowl of Kashi cereal, crackers w/ peanut butter, or apple w/ peanut butter.  Cup of salad w/ salmon fillet w/ one boiled egg (175 cal).  There are so many possibilities out there!

I'm not a spokesperson either, but Kashi is just too dang good to keep silent!  I even have a journal entry on the lastest Kashi product I have tasted.

I love Kashi.

Young Calorie Counters Giving Up Soda Oct 31 2009

I'm a teen -- just like you and I have given up soda.  It may be hard for some, but you can live without it.  I think it's going to be 2 years very soon. :)

It's not healthy, don't drink it.  Nothing fantastic about it either in my opinion.

Drink lots of water!  The best thing you could drink.  Your body is made up of water. 80% of your brain, 80% of your blood and 70% of muscle is made up of water.  Nature knows you need it, so it supplies it!  The earth is made up of 70% of water.  You need water!

It also helps with weight loss, if you drink your needed amount.

The one that comes from the animal that eats the best diet is the healthiest.

Well I guess that pertains to animal milk, but what about almond, rice, soy or oat?

Just googled Kumis.  Milk with 2% of alcohol....interesting

Well actually not quite. Traditional Kumis is made by slightly fermenting Mares milk. It does make it slightly alcoholic anywhere from .7 to 2%. Since Mares milk is expensive, commercially it is made from cows milk, but the 2% is max. I used to the Mares milk with very low alcohol.

Interesting never have heard of it before.. :)
