| Fitness | Muscle excersises for the stomach area | Aug 26 2009 21:53 (UTC) |

I don't know much about losing weight in the stomach area, because I too am having that problem. However, what I've learned from different sources is that doing sit ups does develop muscles in the stomach area. It does not burn fat however. Doing tons of sit ups will have an effect, but will not show unless you get rid of that fat. One other thing I've learned (and is probably common knowledge), that to really burn some fat in the stomach area is to do areobics. Doing the cardio workouts help burn the fat needed to lose that "flab" in the stomach. Hope this helps out some. |

Maybe I input the data wrong. I hope so, because I was a bit over after I input that. |

| The Lounge | Thoughts on drug testing welfare recipients? | Jul 11 2009 11:54 (UTC) |

I can understand wanting to test welfare reciepents. Most people I know that are on welfare are either selling their food stamps for cash to get some drugs, or they're abusing their privileges. To figure out whose abusing the system is a bit harder than that however. There are lots of ways to cheat on the application and make it seem as you need it, then use those funds for other things. I have to agree with the fact that, if you DO screen someone and they fail (and happens to lose welfare because of it.), it could be taking food from the mouths of the children in the household. With that, I think there could be a better way to improve the welfare system. However, screening for drug test will not only NOT (I know it's a double negative) improve the system, it will only make it worst by costing more money from taxpayers. |

I was wondering all of these as well, and sadly have not come to a conclusion. Sorry |

I had a very similiar experience with my current girlfriend. However, she's the one that acts very strange and different when our friends are around (more so, 5 years ago). She was more into them, she talked to them more and she even seemed to have a better time with them. Did she not respect me and my uncomfortable feelings, no. Did she consider to be lovely dovey with me, no. Some people when in a scene with a group of people. Hell, even another person, do not feel "right" being lovey dovey in public. You should talk to him concerning this, but you broke it off. It's not too late. As for your beliefs. THAT is also, was a pretty big problem for us. However, I don't believe in God and she's a Christian; yet it still works out. I don't believe you HAVE to have someone with the same believes as you to make the relationship work. As long as you respect where he stands on his views and he can respect your views, it's a good start. It worked for my girlfriend and I and we've been dating for 6 years and still have a very healthy relationship. And for the comment about, "boys think any of sex," is very stereotypical. I've learned that women think about sex just as much as men do, but aren't as expressive about it. So, it's best to leave thoughts to never to thought at all. |

Congrats! It's always good to hear some good news and success. Also, thanks for the good ideas at places to eat. As Camillech said, it's hard to find a nice place to eat healthy. Have fun! |
