I just finished week 1, again!  Last night on the last workout of wk1, I was in terrible pain from what feels like shin splints, though more on the side than the front.  I actually walked the last running interval because it just hurt too much.  I was running at the soccer field while my son practiced, so for the most part, I was on the perfect surface of tight field grass with great resistance.

Any advice about how to stretch this out or another way to fix???  Help!!!Cry

Hi, Karen here.  I have one son, age 6, but am a licensed foster mom, so sometimes have more children here.  We are "taking a break" after having a very sweet little boy with some special needs in our home for more than a year.  I really lost track of myself during that time.  So, here I go again!

SW = 206

CW = 205

GW = 140

This week I promise to think before I eat (though I haven't yet today!) and get in 2 days of exercise.

Is today the weigh-in day??

If so, I have to post about my great week last week up until the weekend, then, I blew it all!  : - (

This will explain my numbers, though I am happy that I didn't go up more!

Start weight = 206

Current = 205

(Had been down below 204 prior to the weekend!)

I loved it!  Unfortunately, right after I finished my very 1st 5k a couple of years ago, I started what seems like a never-ending stream of injuries that have kept me from running....

I am planning to start all over again very soon.  I need to work through a few more issues with a knee.

When I started the program it helped me break through a plateau and ultimately lose about 45 pounds.  But, alas, since the injuries I have gained every single pound back  :(

Now, I am going to lose those pounds and I will definitely use C25K again, along with CC.

Hello!

I'm going to start with TMI - Sorry!  But, I figure that if I am going to join, you should have a chance to see what you're getting!

I'm a mom, foster mom, and babysitter (UGH!).   I was a Type-A career woman for nearly 20 years before this drastic life change.  About 5 years ago I left full time employement for longer hours and no pay as a stay-at-home mom to my then 2 year old son.  We had a foster child in our home for over a year, he just left a month ago.  This was a major challenge and continues to be difficult.  For the summer, I am watching my best friends 2 daughters 3 days  week while she is at work.  This too is a challenge.

I have fought and surrendered to my weight for my entire life.  You name it, I've tried it!

I think this is the challenge for me!  I just started 2 days ago.  But, I weighed this morning and am down 1/2 pound (but, from my all time highest ever)!  7/9/09 = 205.5
