| Fitness | RUNNERS--what do you think of when you're running? | Nov 23 2009 02:38 (UTC) |
7 |
When I run on my treadmill, I don't really think of anything because I'm usually too enthralled by the anime series I play on the DVD player. Inuyasha is awesome. When I'm outside running, my though patterns vary. I can daydream for a good half of the run; admiring nature and all its glory. Sometimes, especially when I do my early-morning runs, I notice that I'm often planning out what I'm going to be doing for the rest of the day (i.e. shopping, finishing up an essay, baking, going out) and then I just kind of repeat that to myself over and over again. |

| Weight Loss | What do you guys think about coffee? | Nov 23 2009 02:13 (UTC) |
|
Coffee's great! I love it and need it every morning. You state that it makes you irregular, but that could possibly be because your intake of coffee was too much too quickly. I've always had a single cup in the morning and it actually helps keep me regular (not that you wanted to know that, but whatevs). |

There's absolutely nothing wrong with nursing in public. It's normal, natural and the best thing in the world for a babies health and nurturing. |

| Young Calorie Counters | Excuses to not drink alcohol? | Nov 23 2009 02:00 (UTC) |

Just tell everyone that you are willing to be the designated driver for that night... and as a double bonus (a.k.a. excuse) usually the designated driver gets free drinks! So, if you say you're broke and don't want to owe anyone any money/favors, then being cheap can be your excuse too! |

| Motivation | Someone actually called me fat... | Nov 14 2009 00:18 (UTC) |

Glad to see that you're still thinking positively after all those horrendous comments. I don't know how some people can be so cold-hearted and just plain disgusting ... why would they ever call someone else fat?! That is low, that is really low. Aw... I know it hurts when it seems like everyone's ganging up on you, but don't worry they're probably just insecure about themselves and think that by calling other people names that the hurt that they feel inside will be healed... but they are wrong. You are beautiful and they are dead wrong in calling you anything but beautiful :) *hugs* |

| The Lounge | Friendship Etiquitte... What do I do?? | Nov 13 2009 07:36 (UTC) |

Okay, so it's all worked out now... thanks everyone who responded. I just let my gal-pal know off the bat what was up and let her make the rules. I honestly couldn't care less about losing some friend that I'd known for only 6months... because my 4year long friendship with my gal-pal is way more important. She let me know that she felt it inappropriate that the ex was still contacting, and she saw it as being a manipulative move since he knew I was her best friend... so in the end, to honor our dear friendship I chose to cut the ex lose... ahhh, I feel so much less guilty :) <-- I think this sudden sense of ease is telling me that this is he right thing to do... always trust the instincts |

No... the ex didn't do anything wrong. It was actually my best friend who decided that she needed time apart to get her life together and broke it off. And nope, I'm not interested in flirting with the ex, I actually have my own special someone whom I adore :) |

If you're still hungry, I suggest that you eat something... anything. It's one day and it's not going to ruin your diet plans. I like air-popped popcorn :) mmmm yum |

I'm in Canada and have Rogers... and like most posters above, I would not recommend it. I've had such a hard time dealing with them screwing up my phone/texting bills... additionally, you get charged for text messages received!!!! WTF! (and although I canceled my text messaging service so I wouldn't get charged, they still ended up charging texts to my bill... jerks...) |

Wow! Thanks for the rapid replies guys... yeah, I think I'll be upfront with my best friend, letting her know what's going on... I don't want some recent relationship drama to ruin my friendship with my best gal pal. Thanks guys... |

| Weight Gain | What do you guys do all day? Struggling with excersise... | Nov 10 2009 04:24 (UTC) |

University papers + study = great time consumers... classes from Monday to Wednesday 8-5pm. Clinical at the hospital on Thursday and Friday from 7am-7pm. Part Time work at KFC on Saturdays for 8 hours... church and hanging with the cute kiddies in day-care on Sundays. In my free-time I spend it watching anime marathons (currently D Gray Man)... yes, I'm a nerd. If you want to occupy time, why not volunteer at a community service?? At the food-bank, the library, an extended care facility? Or take up a hobby like knitting, sewing, scrapbooking, baking etc. Or, if all else fails join some online RPG community. |

| The Lounge | Looking forward to the Twilight Movie? | Nov 09 2009 08:15 (UTC) |

Hahahaha... artsy, yeah right. I simply fell asleep because of the cheesy acting and the horribly juvenile plot. Hmm... and I think that the term "good" is very subjective. IF you like tween romance movies then yes, it will live up to your expectations and be "good"... however, if you like Muse and are horridly ashamed that they have affiliated themselves with the Twilight franchise then you will probably not find the film "good" PS, I know that many Twilight fans find what's his face attractive but let's not follow the relationship advice that this movie franchise provides... seriously kids, if a guy says that he has some uncontrollable urge to drink your blood... RUN in the opposite direction. Do not do as Ms Stewart did and RUN into the arms of the crazy shiny man-child. |

AHH!! Let's not fight guys... can't we all be friends? I think that what Das is saying is that whatever one makes their priority in life (i.e. work, money, exercise, education) they will make a greater effort to achieve. I too am a university student who has classes on Monday-Wednesday from 8am-5pm; clinical at the hospital for 12hours on Thursdays and Fridays (7am-7pm) and a part-time job on the weekends for 8hours. Somehow (don't ask me how) I'M able to squeeze in my needed excercise, but then again this could be because I'm INLOVE with running... It honestly doesn't matter how tired I am, after a days work/clinical rotation/school day I'll fit in my 75minutes of activity and that's simply because I make it a priority on my list of things that are important to me. (Note: I also find the time to study, hangout with friends and make the money I need <-- with the help of student loans :P) So, anyways... after that long rambling... please guys... let's all be friend :) |

Dude... having no money for food would drive me up the wazoo... I'd probably end up eating some non-food substances like napkins or cotton just to fill me up! But it is refreshing to see someone looking at the bright-side of being broke :P Gives me a new perspective on being a poor university student |

Hmmm... you should mash them up and refry those beans! Make it into a tasty dip for chips. Then whatever you don't finish can be brought to work and you can let your collegues chow down. You'll be getting rid of your bunch-o-beans and I'm sure you co-workers will thank you. When I'm really lazy, I like to make myself a bean salad. Basically it's just cooked/mashed kidney beans with mayo and sweet relish... sounds kinda nasty but seriously it's delish. |

Hey, I'm 21 and even though I'm not all that outgoing I don't feel like I'm wasting my years away. As long as you do what you love and spend quality time with the people you love, then your life will have much more meaning than if you simply drank/clubbed your entire youth away. Being best friends with your family is nothing to be ashamed of... after all, they're the ones whole always be there to love and support you unconditionally. Don't feel that you need to be a crazy party animal just because everyone else is doing. If you do love those things, then by all means go ahead and participate in them; however, if you don't find joy in those experiences then why waste your precious time? Personally, I view my years as precious and I do realize that nobody spends an eternity in this world; so I would not want to waste my youth being drunk? smoking? partying with people I don't know, just for the sake of saying I partied? dating someone I don't love, simply to say that I've dated? |
