When I'm around and I'm thinking about it, I will check through the threads on here.  Without a doubt you'll find someone that was in the boat you're in now!

When I'm not around here, I use my own will power.  I make myself "convince" myself that I don't need it or don't want it.  Not always as easy as it can sound, but I repeat it to myself in my head until I can leave the temptation there.  Sometimes hiding what I want, when it's food, helps.  When it's not in front of you and you can't see it it's not as easy to crave it!  And something else I'd heard somewhere....if you get a craving wait ten minutes before acting on it and see if you still want it.  Doesn't always do the trick but I've had it work before where I REALLY wanted some chocolate and I distracted myself for ten minutes, and when I thought about it next I realized I didn't want it quite so badly anymore.

I'm soo sorry!  That must have been scary, and I'm sure it's annoying having to deal with the credit card companies and everything!  I think you're already doing great if you're getting back into working out and you've been doing what you can to eat healthy!  I'm sure that the more your life gets back to normal the easier things will be.....but you're doing great so far!!! :)

Try not to beat yourself up too much over this.  This is a big enough event that it's okay it got your workout/eating routine a bit outta whack!  The important thing is that you know you don't wanna go back to how you were before and you're already working on changing it again! :)  I'm proud of you!

So this hasn't been posted in in awhile, so I thought I would, since I have good news to share! :)

I've officially hit the 190 mark!  Always fun to hit a marker like that!  Plus, counting the two weeks before I really started watching what I ate but was getting myself ready to start (which is when I think I lost most of my water weight) I've lost 20 lbs so far! :)

And phantompoe.....I know your post was about a week or so ago, but way to go on writing!  I've been trying to for awhile and just had my own little writer's block break long enough for me to get a poem written, lol.  But I know the feeling, and that's awesome! :)

Hahaha well I'm certainly working on it!! :)  I find that statistic hard to believe considering the tons of people I see when I go out that are tiny.....but then Texas is a huge state. :)  And we probably have the most months you can go swimming in the states!!  Can't wait for it to stay warm long enough to get out in the water!

Ugh, this is the first time I've been on a computer all day!  Which would be good if I'd been out doing something...but I was just sitting at the front of my store greeting people and being bored and not able to leave my post.  Grrr......good thing I had my pilates/yoga class tonight, helped relax me a bit!

I was happy to see someone else had posted about this. :)  I've read through one of the ABS diet books, and tried some of the recipies and wondered about the whey protein as well.  What I'm curious about is...where did you find it? :)  I tried to look for some last time I was grocery shopping and couldn't find it!

Way to go sarah!! :)  That's awesome!!

I just had my first dinner party, and it was a big success!! :)  My friend William helped me a little with "zesting" some lemons for me and getting all the dishes together but I made everything else, and everyone liked it! :)  I'm sooooo happy! :)

Two new ones for me, cause this helps me a lot! :)

1. Lost another 1.5 lbs!! :)

2. Worked out on the ellyptical yesterday like I have been, the past few times I've kept my heartrate around 130 (just inside my fat burn zone according to the machine).....yesterday my heartrate was mostly between 150 and 160.  Very proud I could sustain it that long...and I didn't get too winded either! :)

I had to go to the CVS across the street from work to buy some Icy Hot for my arms today. :)  And I was gonna give in and get myself a Take 5 candy bar....and decided against it and didn't!  I gave myself a mental pat on the back for this....it took some willpower for me! :)

If you have a spot that's particularly troubling you, I recommend Icy Hot. :)  I just had to go buy some across the street...did a small amount of weights on my arms yesterday when I haven't most of my life, and holy cow are they sore today.  It hurts to even extend my arm.  But I just put some Icy Hot on and already I can extend them farther before they start to hurt too bad.  Thank goodness for Icy Hot!! :)

Weight Loss 5'2" 167 lbs. - A huge battle ahead of me Mar 14 2007

I've been looking for all of you!! :)  I'm just at the end of my second week of doing all this.  I'm 5'4", I started out at 200 and my last weigh-in (first one, actually, lol) was 197.5!  And, like a few of you, most of my extra weight is in my stomach area.  I only actually own one pair of jeans right now, cause it depresses me so much to have to buy new pants!  I've tired exercising more a few different times and never stuck with it for more than a week.  I know I'm gonna be able to make this work, though, because something inside my head has clicked and is driving all my good intentions.  I'm tired of feeling and looking like this, and I'm ready to make it change!  I know all of you can do it too!

This forum is amazing for providing great info and support...I was kinda skeptical at first about them but now I check them all the time! :)  Feel more than welcome to friend me, I can use all the encouragement I can get and encouraging others is one of the things I do best, at least I like to think so! :)

Yeah my normal pants size is a 14 and when I was trying on bridesmaids dresses I had to try on all 18s!  Talk about some major motivation to start working out! :)  I have until October, and while I'm not worried about losing all my weight I would like to lose some.  Mostly I'm just making sure I exercise and trying to watch what I eat and eat better!  My bride already looks amazing in her dress, which is what matters, so I'm not too concerned...but I am the maid of honor so I wanna look somewhat decent! :)

Yeah, it works pretty well for me when I screw up. :)  I actually found it in the "Slappy's Positive Quotes are Back!" thread in the motivation section, so if you ever need more check in there!  There's plenty of good ones! :)

Glad you feel better!  Sometimes all we need is that little extra boost from people who want you to suceed. :)

Don't give up!!  I know you can make it. :) When I've been looking up quotes lately I keep running across ones about carrying on, but this one I think works the best for me when I've eaten something I shouldn't have or more than I needed to or didn't work out or something.

We're all gonna have days we're "bad", but I think we need the bad sometimes too!  Just start over today...every day's a new day! :)
