i keep snacks at my desk. individual servings only though. I can't keep a whole box of snack crackers, cereal or anything like that, it has to be individually packaged otherwise I'll eat too much of it.

I usually keep small boxes of cereal, 100 calorie packs, fruits like apples, tangerines, oranges, or grapes, nuts, and oatmeal packets. I'm a major carb-oholic. I have to almost force myself to eat protein so that's why the nuts work well.

i also go home for lunch, but I know most people don't have the option. If I know I have a meeting or something and I can't go home, then I pack a lunch in an insulated bag.

M meatloaf is

1 pound of lean meat

1 egg

1 small can of tomato sauce

1/2 packet  of onion soup mix (powdered)

1 cup of oatmeal instead of bread crumbs.

bake and serve.

I also drain out the grease as it bakes with a turkey baster.

"If I want something milky and big I order a venti non-fat cafe misto for a whopping 90 calories."

off subject, but why does starbucks have to make up their own names for coffee drinks? cafe misto? Why can't they just call  it cafe au lait like everyone else? heehe maybe  I should ask my friendly neighborhood barista.

I live in CA and most if not all women in my office (a large architectural firm) wear them with a skirt.

I don't think it is antiquated at all; rather I think its tacky to not wear them in an office setting if you are wearing a skirt.

First of all, I am not a dude, and second of all, that wasn't a very nice response. I was simply trying to help. I didn't give you a 20 minute  lecture on the evils of brown paper bag cooking.

this site says "the turkey will be beautifully browned"

but also gives the very stern warning not to use paper bags for cooking.

I LOVE butternut squash...but I've never attempted to "peel" a raw one.

I always just cut it open, scoop it out and bake it with a bit of water in the bottom of the pan, and whatever kind of filling in the hollow of the squash.

what is the recipe that you are using?

I watch that show all the time. I think it is so interesting!

I watched a show alst weekend (i think) about a similar topic. Mike Rowe had to replace a turbine engine inside of a waste treatment facility. It was really disgusting! It really makes you think about how the world works, and the jobs that people have to do to keep it running smoothly. ucky!!!

Start Weight: 189lbs
Current Weight: 165lbs
Goal Weight: 135 ish
Height: 5'3 and 3/4
Frame: medium

What I've done: I was walking 1-2 miles per evening, but I've slacked off lately, and haven't lost anything either. (go figure, huh!)

What I've eaten: breakfast - yogurt usually lunch-sandich with no mayo/cheese, lots of veggies, and a normal dinner with protein, cegetables and sometimes a starch.

What I've drank: Water, fresh brewed iced tea, and the occasional diet soda maybe 2 per month. I don't like soda.

Why I'm doing it: I want to be healthy and set a good example for my child. I have a sedentary job, and had slowly gained. Now I am slowly shedding the pounds, and it feels great.
