| Hey everybody, it's great to hear that you're all loving it!! I'm currently on a hiatus from The Shred because I have a wrist injury that I think needs surgery! argh! I'll keep checking in though to see how you're all doing! you're all going to be kicking butt in no time!! | |||

| The music is upbeat. I honestly don't really remember what it sounds like though, cause Jillian's talking the whole time! lol
It's exciting to see so many people getting into this! You're all going to help me stick with it! :) Oh and I decided to switch to doing this every other day, with something else on the off days (cardio). Especially once you get to workout 2, I don't think my body can handle doing it every day! |

| the DVD comes with just the three workouts, and all the space you need it to do jumping jacks, pushups, and crunches
I've been doing every day, but I had to take a day off after 8 days to give my body a rest. This weekend I'm going out of town, so I'm skipping two days. Has anybody gotten to Workout 2 yet? I just did it for the first time today |

| flower: i was relatively active, but far from in my best shape. It's designed so you can modify the moves to make them a little easier or a little harder, depending on what works for you. It's tough, but it's only 20 minutes, so it's pretty easy to fight through it.
oh, and the format is 3 min strength, 2 min cardio, 1 min abs. The longest you ever do one move is 1 minute. I have been trying to get back on the horse for awhile, so I was attempting to eat well, but not completely succeding at it. Since I'm more active and am seeing improvements, it has motivated me to be better about my eating :) |

| This out just came out March 18 or something like that. I do have the other ones, but I needed to change things up. I've been having some serious motivational issues over the past few months, but not anymore! :) | |||

| I did Couch to 5K two years ago, and I LOVED it. I ran multiple 5Ks that year, and I was in the best shape of my life. I totally understand that feeling of confidence - way to go!! | |||

check out this thread about Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred. It's 20-minute workouts that rock! I do it every morning right when I get up. |

| All you need is a set of hand weights and a mat if you're doing it on a hard surface
I have the 5-disc set too - I love it too! But it's amazing how I feel like I can fit in a 20-minute workout so much easier than a 30-minute workout! I guess it's all just psychological! lol |

| I'm 26, 5'2". I started in 2006 at 142, and got down to 128 (the lowest I've ever been). Then I got injured and had a rough 2007, so I crept back up to 145. I'm back to 141 right now (below my original starting weight, woohoo!), and hopefully back on track for good. My goal is to get back below 130, and go from there. I honestly think that I would be too skinny at 110 - based on where I was in 2006, I think 120-125 is probably my ideal healthy weight.
Kae, I know what you mean about having trouble losing the second time around. I feel like I went through all of that hard work, and now I have to do it again? It makes me so mad at myself, but I know that we can both do it! |

| Thanks guys - venting helped - hormones are coming into play today too, so that makes everything seem a lot worse than it is. I talked to one of my coworkers, and we're going to work out together today.
I don't have netflix - I used to have blockbuster online, but I canceled it to save some money. I do have a few videos to do, just need to stop making excuses! The one time I tried a fitness ball I fell off! I'm afraid of them now! :) I do have hand weights and an exercise step at home. I also play DDR sometimes, which I tell myself helps. I didn't think that walking hurt my shins, but just last week I tried walking on the crappy work treadmill, and they were killing me! Not sure if walking outside would have the same effect, but I probably won't find out until the temperature gets closer to a bearable temperature! When I've tried walking in the past, I've ended up jogging at least a little, which hopefully will be fine as long as I don't run too much of it. |

| I've used Jillian Michaels for awhile, and I like them. Right now I can really only do the Cardio Kickboxing one though, cause the other ones involve lots of holding your weight on your hands and pushups.
And honestly, I haven't been able to push myself enough to get into a regular routine of doing the videos. My own stupid fault, I know. |

| I'm in - yay for a group that I really fit into! I've been on C-C since last May. I needed to lose 20lb or so, and I still have 10 to go. :( BUT, I've learned to love running, eat more healthy, and have met some great people! So, I'm not worrying too much about that stupid 10lb right now. I'm working to lose it, but not killing myself over it. Here's my info: 1) What's your name? - Lisa 2) Age? - 25 3) Where you from? - New York 4) Single/married/divorced/etc? - Married 5) Kids? (real or of the fur variety) - a labradoodle named Pepper (see my profile pics) 6) What are you at C-C for? - to lose that illusive 10-20lb, continue to improve my running, and maintain a healthy lifestyle |

| well....i think it's a good thing that slappy and i decided not to meet up for the 5K today. I would be driving 3 hours in the middle of a snowstorm today, and the race very well may be canceled! i think i'm going to do a 5K April 1, so maybe i'll count that as my C-C 5K :)
great job, hanno and lebrowne! |

| Hey guys, it looks like I'm not going to be doing a race this weekend. There aren't any in my area, and now I'm going to have company, so I couldn't really devote the time to the 5K, plus my 10K training run. Good luck to everybody, and I'm sorry for backing out!! | |||

| I ordered my shirt yesterday. I also bought a couple of "accessories" to celebrate st pattie's day. i got a glittery bow tie and a shamrock lei. I thought about the springy headband, but that would probably be really annoying while running...lol
I think a sub-30 min goal is going to be too ambitious. But jenn, don't change it yet. I'm going to start easing my way back into running, and I'll let you know what my new goal is (if I have to change it) |

| Can I join you guys? I've been posting in the 110/120s group, and it seems to be deteriorating into talk of people shooting for unrealistic or underweight targets. I've stopped reading it b/c it's just annoying to hear about
i'm 25y/o, 5'2", and as of today, 129 lb (finally in the 120s! woohoo!). My goal is 120. I started at 144 last May. It's taken me a really long time to lose the weight, but I also started running and working out more, so I've gained a lot more muscle, and a ton more tone. I no longer have a belly pooch (I NEVER thought I'd get rid of that!!), and my husband told me the other day that I'm starting to have a figure similar to Jillian Michaels (not that extreme, but if you know who she is, you get the point). My husband and I are competing to finally get to our goal weights. Today was the third weekly weigh-in, and my third victory! I have 9 more lb to go! |

| Em, good job! Everybody needs a break every so often, and it's great that you have made a good effort to stay active while recuperating from jillian kicking your butt! lol
i've only been doing jillian 1-2x per week lately, but i've been focusing on the self.com workouts, so that's a big reason why. once i get through this week and next week, the self.com workouts will be done (at least formally), and i'll probably start doing more jillian |

| i haven't updated in awhile, but i've been working hard to get back down to the 120s. i got up to 133/134 after the holidays. today i'm 131, but i'm pretty sure that at least a pound of that is water weight. it doesn't sound like much since i've been working REALLY hard since the beginning of the year, but i've gained a lot of muscle tone, and lost a bunch of fat. so yay! :) | |||
