| I actually heard that POM has decided to quit the animal testing because of organizations like PETA who are campaigning against them. But I would never spend such an onscene amount of money for a tiny container of juice cruelty free or not... | |||

| Leftyleft-If you can't stomach eating breakfast first thing in the morning and are worrying about screwing up your metabolism by waiting until 10:30 to eat maybe you should just try having a small glass of orange juice when you wake up. So that way you are getting something in your system to jump start your metabolism. | |||
| Weight Loss | problem in getting enough calories | Jan 07 2007 18:03 (UTC) |

| Jd95-You really really should try to find a way to eat your veggies. They are SUPER important in your diet. Corn has little nutritional value. Maybe you can try to hide them in your meals. Try chopping up some onion and green pepper to add to your omelettes. Or smothering your broccoli and cauliflour in a cheese sauce. Veggies arent going to add a significant amount of cals but it worries me that you don't eat them ever.
I agree with Jeff on the Peanut butter and nuts thing. That is a great way to build up your calorie intake. Brown rice is great too. Its pretty high in calories and good for you. |

| You probably will find something else you need to "fix" But the way I see it is losing weight is getting something you need to fix out of the way like checking something off of the list. Trust me, if you lose the weight you will love it and you will love the attention. Then you can focus on improving your wardrobe or landscaping your yard or something. | |||

| I started mixing balsamic vinegar with some dijjon mustard for a super low calorie salad dressing. I got the idea from someone on CC and I really love it. In my stir fries I use no oil. I just spray the pan with some cooking spray then add a little soy sauce, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, and other seasonings for flavor. On sandwiches I usually just use mustard which is virtually calorie free. Salsa makes a really good baked potato topping and 2 tablespoons usually has 10-15 calories. | |||

| Star don't feel too bad about it. It's just one cookie. I broke my diet and veganism last christmas when a client practically shoved some peanut brittle down my throat. I felt bad but what are you going to do about it? And as far as breaking your diet, I think at least I'm trying to control myself so I wont gain as much weight as most people do during the holidays.
I think the holidays is actually a great time to be vegan. We dont have to worry about being tempted to eat all those cookies and chocolates and candies floating around everywhere. I did think about making some of my own vegan fudge but never got around to it and I'm kind of glad! |

| Today I was in a big hurry so I scooped out a spoonful of peanut butter and tied a sandwich bag around it and brought some crackers and an apple. I do the peanut butter on a spoon thing a lot. Today I spread it on my crackers but sometimes I just lick it off the spoon. | |||
| Weight Loss | How did you get started? | Dec 20 2006 04:26 (UTC) |

| I never refer to it as a lifestyle change. I call it dieting. But its all just words. It's the action you take that counts.
I started a year ago when I was going through a difficult time. I was so stressed out that I strated hiking to relieve the tension. Then I started doing all sorts of exercises like crunches, leg lifts, weights, etc..I even started waking up early to exercise! I didn't count calories at first but I wouldnt go back for seconds at dinner, Then my hard time passed and I continued on with my workout routine. The next thing I knew I had lost 30 lbs. |

| Weight Loss | Curvey women or stick thin women? | Dec 20 2006 04:19 (UTC) |

| my_dream_body---I completely agree with you.I never understood why fat is considered "curvy" I have always been curvy whether I was thin or heavier. And I have known many heavy girls that dont have half the curves I have.
Fat does NOT equal curvy. This is where the misconceptions is. When men say they like curvy girls, people think they are saying they like fat girls. Traditionally curvy is larger chest, smaller waist, and wider hips. Like an hourglass. |

| I think what it comes down to is that curvy does not equal fat. Guys tend to like nice sized breasts and behinds on girls who are thin and toned everywhere else. I think this is what they mean when they all say the like curvy girls and like something to grab onto. I dont think what they want is a handful of belly flab! | |||

| No you arent being too harsh. You have to do what is right for you. I stayed with my ex for a long time when I wasnt happy because he was so devastated every time I tried to break it off. Then I finally realized that I am not respinsible for his happiness. I am so glad I finally left him and shortly after we broke up I met my husband. Today is our 3 year anniversary of being married and 6 years of being together. I have no regrets. You just cant waste your time with people who are bringing you down. | |||

| The Lounge | How often do you ladies have sex? | Dec 14 2006 04:27 (UTC) |

| Ever since losing 30 lbs my libido has been very very low. I dont understand everyone saying that losing weight helped their sex lives. I just feel less sexy since my boobs used to be really big and now they are not. I also heard that women who are skinny have lower sex drives because their bodies produce less testesterone. I think it's true. | |||
