| Yeah! I just passed on a cookie... a chocolate chip cookie (which I looked on the package and was 130 calories each!) during a meeting. And I'm so so proud of myself. haha. :) | |||

| 1. Broccoli (with capers, anchovies and garlic) Broccoli... any style but with capers, anchovies and garlic and a side of pasta is the best meal ever. Also, steamed broccoli with Japanese mayo is the best! 2. Pasta 3. Short grain rice and other types of rice 4. Tofu 5. Shrimp 6. Strawberry Ice Cream (Haagen Dazs preferred! :) Strawberry ice cream is a MUST. I can't resist a huge pint of Haagen Dazs. I can live without chocolate... maybe. :) 7. Fatty Tuna (Sushi-grade) (Toro, etc.) I can't live without my tuna--!! And toro... which is the most fattiest portion of the tuna, with the best tasting meat! 8. Green Tea (Iced) I can't live without my green tea! Any other type of tea is good too... 9. Poultry (Thigh / breast / gizzard) Even though it sounds weird, the chicken gizzard is seriously some of the best food out there! :) It's traditionally skewered with salt and pepper... seriously amazing. 10. Udon noodles |

| Sometimes, if I know I'm not going to eat it for a couple of days, I stick it in the freezer. It makes great popsicle sticks!!! I seriously recommend it. Just eat it frozen and it tastes like a fruit bar that they sell in stores. |

| To substitute for the cranberry juice, I think that using something low calorie like Crystal Light (low calorie powder drinks) in substitute with vodka might work! And adding maybe club soda would be good too to avoid putting too much vodka in! |

| Foods | Raw vs. Cooked Vegetables? | Oct 03 2007 20:46 (UTC) |

As a person of Asian descent, I thought I would add some input to this forum. My mom used to tell me that by boiling vegetables for too long (to the point where it becomes mushy), the nutrients escape into the water itself and lose most of its nutritional value. But, if you quickly saute the vegetables in even less than one tablespoon of oil (I personally love the cooking sprays that they sell in combination with the non-stick cooking surface pans which drastically reduces how much oil you use b/c most of the time you're just eyeballing the amount) with just salt, pepper and a tiny bit of soy sauce, it makes a perfect stir fry! Hope this helps!! |

And also sprouted whole wheat bread that you can eat with hummus! Lately, I'm going crazy for ths Calbee snapea crisps! They are so so good! |

| Weight Loss | hot tea at night / binge eating | Mar 02 2007 03:15 (UTC) |

| I tend to do that sometimes, but I usually try to keep fruits right next to the refrigerator. And sometimes I write notes to myself on the cupboard where the junk food is like "Remember your goal to lose weight and gain self esteem!" and what not... it keeps me from eating foods like that. And if you want to eat, I suggest substituting it with something healthier like light popcorn w/o butter. Hope that helps. |

| I think my favorite 0 calorie food would be just powdered drinks. And also, my huge favorite is TEA!! My local coffee shop sells the best ever honey plum iced tea. And to that, I add 2 splendas. |

| The worst part now is that I was talking to her and our conversation sort of went sour. Especially since, the stupid person that I am, I sort of implied bad stuff about her and sort of called her out on how she wears pretty slutty clothes and she's more "matured" than other people and I think I might've implied things that I didn't mean to. I think I really need to talk to her more now, because it feels like I'm backlashing on her about her sister. And I know that she supports me a lot, but I guess I feel insecure about things. And I'm doubting if she really does support me. |

| Weight Loss | Hoodia supplement? | Jun 01 2006 02:38 (UTC) |
|
| I drank the Hoodia pill for a whole week last week. And it has a whole lot of caffeine, so it made my hands start shaking and since I'm a huge tea fan, the added caffeine made me have weird sleep cycles and more shaking. Right now, I feel like the Hoodia pills helped me enough to get my stomache small enough that I don't feel the need to eat too much. I hope that makes sense. It really helps, but I'm warning you about the side effects of shaking hands. It really bothered me at first. |

| Weight Loss | Hoodia... Diet Supplement | May 27 2006 23:06 (UTC) |

| Thank you for your comments. Like many other people said, I think the best way to deal with a weight issue is to change the eating habits... and I've tried and tried, but I feel myself just giving up hope and just stopping, because of many factors... like my family, they seem to always point out my flaws and sometimes say things that hurt my self esteem when i'm trying to diet. So, I feel like I need to do Hoodia to just lose some pounds and concentrate on losing weight and then getting rid of that in my diet. And having a healthy lifestyle. I'm so tired of being this way and being so tired all the time, but I feel like I've tried enough and this is the best way for me. Is it wrong? |

| Whenever I go to starbucks, I get a Tazo Passion Iced tea with 2 splendas. That makes me happier then a frappacino, which would later make me very grumpy. :) |
