You all are the BEST. All night I've been agonizing over going back in to work tomorrow and having to face everyone because we all know office gossip and if even ONE person saw me upset in my office everyone will know I am insecure about my weight. Then I came on here and read all of the super positive and supportive posts...I LOVE CC!!! Bottom line is these individuals probably didn't realize what they were saying would effect me the way that it did...or maybe they did and they are both just idiots who wanted to hurt my feelings. Also, I suppose I learned something about myself because even though I felt super discouraged and down in the dumps this EMOTIONAL EATER didn't emotionally eat yesterday or today! Thanks to all of you, and my husband who has been showering me with compliments the last two days, I will hold my head up high tomorrow and eat my PB&J with a smile on my face :) |

Haha...that would send them running into another room to call HR. But I LIKE it! Maybe I can just hire all of you to work with me so that I have only supportive and kind people there? Who wants to move to Virginia? |

I know what you're saying Heather. I suppose that is the part that worries me the most. Why did it hurt SO bad? Probably years of my mother telling me I need to lose weight because she was always 125 pounds! Oh, and my aunts nickname for me "chubs" so I GET IT! I have never been that girl that walks away and cries in her office and I am glad I recognized how low it made me feel because now I can change it. I think another big part of it was a, "WHO THE HECK DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE" moment. I am their manager and by most people's standards I'm a good one...yet they think they can talk to me that way. I suppose that tells me that I need to respect myself a little more and other will follow suit!

I feel off the wagon. I haven't been holding myself as accountable as I should have been! I have still lost weight...but it's those horrible feelings that I can't stand that are coming back! I'm back on the wagon now :) This whole moving cross-country thing has been stressful--we are in the process of finding a sub-letter for our apartment and finding a place to live in Virginia. It's so hard to find a place online...and its much more expensive there! I started logging more religiously today and we've been staying active! How are all of you guys doing?!?! |

way to go skinnywishes! I can't wait for people to notice...that's always the fun part! I'm trying to stay as strict as possible with myself over the next 4 weeks...moving is going to stress me out...and stress always makes me eat more! I'm going to an overeaters annon. meeting this week with a co-worker. I want to know what it's all about! anyone every been? I'm on track for the last few days even though I went out for dinner last night I still kept it below 1400 :) |

clinging: keep at it. if you are worried that your metabolism is the problem I would say check with your doc. I'm proud of you for even trying to count those calories---most people would just call it something else all together or just stop counting because it gets time consuming...I guess what I do is log each thing seperately...sauces, spices, oils and all. I got a scale at walmart too...but mine works great? I think it was only like 20 bucks...it has a glass top...not sure what brand it is. Have you tried the manual maybe its on some weird setting. I know I'm not much help but I just want you to think of all that you have already accomplished by logging your calories and becoming more aware of what you are putting in your bod! :) Naturallyd----it's coming off...whoot whoot! Keep up the good work and keep us posted! As for me...I had a hard time getting in my calories today---tuesdays are rough because I don't have time to even think about eating! I accepted a promotion cross country today! My family is moving from Madison Wisconisn to Virginia Beach! :) I'm super excited about the new position and about the move...even though this is going to be the most stressful month and a half of my life! I'm even more motivated now to lose the weight..I can't hide under sweatshirts for half of the year in a beach town! DANG! :) |

tuscon---I LOVE THIS GROUP. I can't wait to hear updates on how everyone is doing! I have never been SUPER into the forums...I've been a CC member since 06 and this is the first one I've really gotten into! Thanks to everyone for letting us all into your weight loss journey!
Hey 40ntryintogetfit and welcome! COUNT COUNT COUNT....everytime you think about cheating think about all of us lovely ladies who are here to hold you accountable! That is what works for me! :) Use the tools on this site as a guide to how many calories you should be eating per day. If you can't be active you have to be even more aware of what you are eating. People do it without exercise all the time, and you can too!

I had planned to keep my calories around 1200 today...but then I went to my dad's and he made a pork tenderloin---YUM! I am at 1364 for the day---not too bad! I did notice that I was much more hungry than normal...and I ate mostly carbs today...I need to fix that for the rest of the week! MORE PROTEIN! Good luck on your tuesdays everyone! Those are always rough for me, I never eat enough...I work from 8-5 and then have class from 5:30-9! YUCK! |

I was actually thinking this same thing last night! I even looked up old posts on this...I didn't find much though. I have never been one for giving anything up entirely, but I have heard that there are some huge benefits to giving up white flour and sugar. Anyone with any experience please fill us in :) |

Is it just me or are monday's the best days for healthy choices? I've already mapped out my whole day! I tried a new lean cuisine for breakfast because I was running late---it was actually SUPER good! My plan of action for the week is to SURVIVE. My husband works second shift, I work first with a few later nights here at there. This week we will only see each other for about 5 minutes when I wake him up in the morning to say bye. It's much easier to eat healthy when he isn't around eating his taco bell and culvers though! Let's make this another great week...I'm going to stay under 1300 all week! :) |

Maryhoney--slow and steady loss! that's the way to go! skinnywishes way to go! that's a huge loss! I'm down 3.5 lbs this week! I don't know if I can trust it thought because my starting weight was on a different scale and we all know how each scale gives us a different weight! Oh well...I'm just going to go with it! It was a great first week...let's all keep up the good work! I accidently slept through breakfast this morning---oops! I'm having a grilled chicken salad for lunch and maybe some tilapia for dinner! I ate JUNK yesterday....just total garbage! But...I managed to stay somewhat in control and still eat under 1700 calories....plus I think I did more walking than I have done in months! All in all, I think I could have done without the chocolate at 10:00 pm last night...but other than that I'm okay with how yesterday went down! Now I have to get out of bed so I can weigh in! :) |

good call coming up with a 4th of july plan...we always go to an art fair/taste of our town early afternoon--hopefully I can find something worth eating! Otherwise...it's easy to stay busy while everyone is eating if you have a baby to feed :) Then no one bugs you about not eating and asks if you're on a diet! Today was pretty bad...but I still felt like I was in control. We went to Famous Daves BBQ with my mother in law and her bf...I had half of my lunch sized entree---beef brisket---YUM! I was going to eat the other half for dinner but then I forgot it there, it's probably better that way! I went over to my parents for dinner and ate another HALF of a dinner...half a hamburger and green beans! I was over my calories---but not by much. I was at 1407 for the day. Even though I ate things that I traditionally wouldn't eat while I am trying to shed the pounds, I still felt great about the day. What I really want is to feel like I am in control of the choices I make...I think that with that sense of control over my intake I will start to lose and feel better about myself! :) Thanks ladies for keeping me accountable and for sticking with it! Two days until the big weigh in! Have a great 4th of July---and try to stay on track! :) |

so yesterday I was a little low on calories! I was really good with my percentages though! I was at 1080 calories, but I ate my 30% protein...so that's probably why I didn't feel really hungry! This morning I'm going to make an egg white omelet filled with veggies and then we're headed off to the zoo for the afternoon! I'll update again tonight! Have a great friday girls! |

I'm glad you guys all had a good day yesterday! I'm on track again for today! Keep up the good work ladies! I'm at work from 8-8 today so it's going to be tough to keep it on track! I like the tortilla bake idea---sounds yummy! I agree that carbs show on the scale...yesterday my percentages were off, I hate that! I need to work on getting more protein and eating less pretzels :) |

im 4 foot 8 inches and i weigh around 90 pounds. i want to lose 10 pounds before school starts. my hardest thing is that i eat when im NOT hungry. i dont think about it when i do it but i regret it after. im trying to only eat 1200 calories or less a day. ---iluvsmileymiley--- I'm no doctor but 90 pounds doesn't seem like you would have a pound to lose no matter what your height. Maybe you should focus on toning and weight training? Why do you want to lose weight? |

I'm so glad you guys want to join! YAY!! It sounds like everyone wants to get down below 140, sound right? I feel like I am reading my own words...I am also a graduate student! ALMOST DONE---HORRAY! I have an almost 1 year old son...and it's totally true that it's harder to lose weight with children! I am awful at night too rocconess---I just plan on saving at least half my calories so that I can make it through. My husband works second shift and he always leaves amazing take-out food sitting around for me to eat in the evenings. There is a doughnut on the counter that has been calling my name!!!!! I'm at 1295 calories for the day...and my goal is to stay between 1200-1300! naturallyd---i'm glad you're joining us! I'm right around the same starting weight as you--and I have the same goal weight! Weekends are rough for me too...that's the only time my husband and I see each other so we always try to celebrate with food---bad idea! Of course I happen to be married to the type of person I can't stand---junk food addicts who are skinny! So how are you guys going to keep yourselves motivated? Being able to share tips and tricks will definitely help...should we do weigh in's? I'm all for anything that helps me get healthy! |

We did a nursery rhyme finishing game at my shower...but the best fun activity I have ever done at a shower was actually only about a month ago...we were all given three diapers to decorate with funny sayings...pampers work great...then when you change your baby for the first month or so you get to see all these funny messages on the diapers. I seriously thought it was hilarious...and I know I would have laughed my butt off at the "oopsie I poopsied" diaper at a 1 am changing! |

| I didn't start showing until I was about 23 or 24 weeks pregnant.
My regular clothes fit until I was about 21 weeks...and then I started transitioning into maternity clothes...which I happen to love! I noticed that my body was changing around week 20 when it started to look like my uterus was tilting upwards. That was one of my favorite things so far...noticing that change with my husband! As far as Maternity Clothes: Try not to waste too much money! Sale shop...it is totally worth it. I happened to hit JCPenny's (somewhere I never shop) one day and they had just marked all of there maternity clothes down to 1.97...I couldn't believe it...It was heaven! Also try buying things that you can wear post-baby like longer empire waisted tops. Make sure you have a few good pairs of maternity jeans though...that is important. I had a hard time with this because the only Maternity store in Madison wisconsin is Motherhood...and they do not carry longs...therefor all of the pants looked like Capris! I ordered some Gap full-panels though...those are great! |
