I'm 22... 5'5''... goal weight of 135 lbs. Maybe 132. Probably 135. That's a lot higher than most of you guys, but it's right in the middle of the BMI healthy chart, and I have a fairly large frame, so. I've already lost quite a bit...

Starting weight: 180 lbs

Current weight: 141 lbs

Goal weight: 135 lbs

I'm currently a size 8 (US), but I'd be thrilled to be a size 6.

I'm soooo close... I've seen 139 pop up on the scale once, but I binged that day (as I do maybe once a month) and woosh bye bye. But I'll get to 135 lbs, soon enough, I'm determined.

Total weight loss: Still +2.6 overall this month, but -2.2 from last week! If I don't end up losing anything from my starting weight this month, it's okay, life--and my losing weight efforts--will go on, but I really don't want to gain anything!

I'm happy with the changes I made last week. I started doing bodyweight conditioning exercises (push-ups, lunges, leg lifts, etc.) every morning, six days a week, and I really hope to add three sessions of cardio this week. I haven't been eating very well, mostly around maintenance, but I hope to change that this week, too!

My weight was allll over the place when I weighed in throughout the week, but creeping slowly upward, and then I binged hardcore --I haven't binged for a long, long time--Friday and Saturday evening both. Ugh. I feel gross, physically because of all the junk that I ate, mentally because I was so close to the 130's and I let them slip away. I'm guessing I'm more like 142/143, not 144.8, but still. I have a new calorie goal and I'm starting a morning "wake-up!" floor workout this week, though. I can do this, I just need to get myself back together and in the right frame of mind! I refuse to go back to being overweight!

Total weight loss: +1.6 ugh. I don't actually think I gained that much, though, really--I had lots of salt last night, and although I had a bad week, I haven't been going crazy. Stressful week, though, so I'm not surprised by the number. Will definitely do better this week!

I'm 5'5'' and 140... my goal weight is about 135 or so. I'd say that you're certainly not a beached whale! Of course, it depends on where from you're looking at it--for example, I used to be 180 lbs, so 135 to me seems perfectly reasonable. If you're usually in the 120's or somesuch and have gained to get to where you are, it might seem larger. But it's perfectly healthy!

Ok, I'm actually using Saturday morning's weigh-in, because it's TTOM and I went to a friend's house for dinner last night so I'm a little puffy. But yay, 143! I didn't quite make this month's goal, but I kept off what I'd lost and lost a bit, even with Christmas, so I'm pleased.

I think it just depends on the individual. I, for example, have only lost 35 pounds... but I've lost TWO cup sizes. Ugh. Not what I was hoping for, but there's nothing to do about it, I suppose. It definitely does make it easier to fit into my (new, smaller) size.

I know this looks bad, but I'm honestly not beating myself up about it (partially because I weighed in at 145.6 yesterday morning). I had final exams all of this week, and though I was super-stressed, I still managed not to super-overeat. I ate too much, but not to excess. Today I'm going home for holiday, so I suspect that the pounds will fall back off again.

Although water weight and other similar things can make my weight jump around a pound or two from day to day, I definitely feel that I'm more inclined to stick to my eating plan if I weigh in every day. Something about it just makes me feel even more accountable, those numbers really motivate me. Plus, it's a nice boost every morning when I get out of bed and see a number much lower than it was a while ago!

I don't know about should... I think it's as often as you feel comfortable with, knowing that fluctuations from day to day can be caused by water weight, etc.


Personally, I weigh every morning. I feel that it keeps me accountable and away from binging on things that might make for spikes in that number on the scale. And honestly? I really like weighing in every morning, I actually look forward to it. What can I say, I just love seeing those numbers decrease.

Honestly, I think that DVDs, CDs, books, etc. (depending on his interests), are really safe bets. I got my boyfriend a hard-to-find DVD for his birthday and he was thrilled, and I'm thinking about a really nice pair of headphones for Christmas.

As long as it relates to his interests or you guys as a couple somehow, it is really just about the gesture, you know? He shouldn't dump you just because you give him a gift that's not SO EXCITING OH MY GOD. So.

I'm only ten pounds away from my goal! I have no idea how I managed to actually lose two pounds this week, I was terrible. I used to be so good about eating only my goal number of calories per day, but now I've started "bargaining." For example, I'll eat X number of extra calories, and just say that I'll eat X number fewer the next day. Very unhealthy, this habit. The only good thing about this week was that I went running for the first time in a year. Anyway, I'm still happy with my numbers... here's hoping this week goes even better!

So I was kind of worried about this week, because in the middle I had a very bad day and emotionally ate a box of Cheez-Its. Disgusting, I know, but it happened and I moved on with my diet. I kept doing my best, even after that, so I was very happy to see these numbers this morning...

BW (Beginning Weight): 156

CW (Current Weight): 154

Yes! Two pounds!

I see that a lot of you out there are happy with your first week, too--whether you lost two pounds or zero. So keep up the good work! It's about feeling happy and in control of what you're eating, too.

One quick complaining post... but I'll finish it by being positive, promise!

So I've been stepping on the scale every morning and not recording what I see, because I know the official weigh-in is on Tuesday. Problem is, the scale still hasn't moved! I really need to stop doing this, it's just discouraging. Ugh.

But I'm going to be positive and say it's probably just bloat from TTOTM. That'll have gone away by Tuesday and I'll have had a successful first week of the challenge--like everyone else, I hope!

Keep up that counting, we can do it!

Currently at 156lbs, want to be between 140-145 by the beginning of August... going to see some people who haven't seen me in a while, and it's going to be at a beach, so!
