Hmmm... portein bars are pretty good.  I think luna bars probably taste the best out of the bunch.

I'll also second the nuts idea, a handful of almonds is a great snack.

Finally, if you like tuna, the cans are easy to take anywhere, and I think a can of tuna with some lemon pepper or hot sauce is delicious.

Just a couple more ideas, they're not neccesarily super low-cal, but they've all got a good amount of protein which should help you feel less hungry for a while afterwards.

Well, today is treating me well so far. Had a good breakfast. Hanging out here at work trying to actually get some work done. Went mountain biking last night for a couple of hours, I love it. Today will be spent working and then packing, I have to move out tomorrow, so probably no exercise today. Going to try biking early tomorrow morning before work.

Tomorrow I move my stuff to my new apartment and then head right home for a family get together. Busy days.

I'm glad you gave the old bike a try!  It's addicting, I hadn't ridden a bike since I was about 12, then last year my roommate was into mountain biking and made me give it a try. A little over a year and 4 bikes later and I'm still loving it.  Mountaim biking is particularly fun. =)

To see your distance you can get a cyclocomputer from a local bike shop or somewhere like walmart, dick's, etc.  You can get a cheap one for 10 or 20 bucks.

Keep it up!, and let me know if you have any other biking questions.

Well, I loved Transformers, but then again, I'm a huge nerd.

I hear Harry Potter and the new Die Hard movies are good too, but I haven't seen them yet.

Haha actually the trainer is a little stand you put your bike in that turns it into an exercise bike for when you can't get outside.

I have been tempted to hang clothes on it, but I can never bring myself to actually do it lol.

Actually, I keep one in the hall, one in my room on the trainer, and I have a wall rack that is holding one of my bikes and one of my roommate's two bikes.

I may have a biking problem, but there are worse addictions out there for sure. =)

Haha wow, I seem to write posts that are too long.  DDR was answered and another post!

I'm glad I'm getting so many responses!

Josette, I hear you, I need to better learn to maintain, even if I'm not losing at some point, I need to make sure i'm not gaining.

Unfortunately for me, I lost about 20 lbs last summer, and gained it back over the winter.  But, I've lost it once, I can sure do it again.

Hmmm... I'd say my biggest problem is that I get into the whole diet and fitness thing, then something in my lifestyle changes, which tends to throw the whole thing off.

For example, I was biking so much last summer I could probably have eaten 3000 calories a day and still lost weight.  Then college started up again, so I was able to bike less, I moved back to campus which made bad food more readily availiable, kept eating just as much, etc., etc.

I figure if I can just keep the exercise and eating constant regardless of the rest of my lifestyle, I can stick with it much better.

And DDR, is Dance Dance Revolution, a dancing arcade game, I got into it back in highschool, helped me lose a lot of weight back in the day.  (In fact, that ended up being a similar falling off the wagon situation, go figure *rolls eyes*)

Hey, welcome phillip!

Good job on the weight loss so far!

I know I have a much easier time exercising when I'm doing something I enjoy.

DDR and biking are my two choice exercises.

I know it's not in the house, but if you've got an old bike laying around you might want to give riding a try, it makes you feel like a kid again.

DDR is great exercise too, you can either download stepmania for the computer or if you've got almost any gaming system you can find a version for it.  A cheap pad can be had for less than 20 bucks and a decent one for about 50.

Just some thoughts, good luck!

Hmmm... this just reminded me of a list I made recently, just kind of things I want to do this summer, it's got about 20 things and I keep adding more as I think of them.  It's got everything from lose weight to bowling, to play with fire.  I really must pay more attention to this list.

Hey, the gym with a buddy idea is a great one!  I hate the gym myself, but whenever I had a friend counting on me to go, I would be there.

The couch to 5k is a beginning running program.  Go to www.coolrunning.com and look under training, then new runners.  Definitely a great site for runners.  I'm just getting into running myself, so we're in the same boat. =)

Actually I'm taking my buddy downtown for his airforce physical. Then me and my friends are going to a huge flea market out in Ohio, should be a fun time. I hope everybody else has exciting plans for their Fridays!
