I'm feeling a little discouraged. I've been working out five days a week now for the last three weeks.  I weighed in today and I have gained 3.5 pounds!!  I know I have been feeling bloated and I am trying to drink more water, but this is nuts.  I watch what I eat and have been working out but its doing the opposite of what I want it to do.  My jeans are not fitting right either. Help!!  I definitely want to be down to 130 before my 30th which is in May.  I am also trainig for the Avon Cancer Walk at the end of May.  I know I've been doing a lot of walking, but this shouldn't bulk me up this fast, it should be trimming me down, right??

I'm waiting until Monday to weigh in again.  I might just be bloated from all the soup I've been eating lately and a lack of water...

Hi all-

I've been on CC for a few months off and on for the last year.  I'm currently 5'6 144 and 29.  I'm hoping to reach 130.  I turn 30 in May and I really would like to be in shape so the big 3-0 won't hit me as hard....

I'm also training for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in Chicago which is in the end of May.  I'm hoping that will be more than enough incentive to help me get in shape and lose weight...

Is it too late to join the challenge?  My goal weight is 135 and I've been hovering around 145 for the last few weeks.  I'm also a big boater and have been dreading getting into my swimsuit for the summer.  I'm 5'6 and have been trying to lose these last 10 pounds forever!!  I think this challenge may be the answer to getting those last ten to finally come off.  Are you doing weekly checkins with measurements or weights??

Thanks,

Kelly

Hello everyone!

I'm so glad to have found this post!  I am 5'6 3/4 -5'7 (depending on how recently I've been to the Chiropractor lol).  I am currently hovering around 150 or so.  I'm usually around 135. That is my current goal.

Highest weight 158

Lowest 105 (I was borderline anorexic in college)

I've been struggling to get these 15 lbs off.  My 10 year reunion is coming up and I would love to lose at least 10 lbs by then.  It's so hard for me to stay on track on the weekends though.  Actually it's hard to stay on track at home.  My boyfriend is a carpenter for a living and consumes about 3000-4000 calories a day.  Very hard to find meals we both enjoy.  Hopefully I can find my motivation again and stay on track.  My work has moved further away so I now have to take the train and walk about a mile each way to work so that will hopefully make a difference in addition to my regular workouts.

Good luck to everyone!!

I tried so hard to stay on track this weekend.  With it being boating season it gets hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle on the water all the time.  I made sure i packed lots of healthy food for the day on Saturday.  It was so hot though, that I am afraid that I didn't eat enough.  I woke up early Saturday and my boyfriend and I got in a great workout before boating.  I logged about 45 minutes of cardio and 30 of strength training.  I also did some swimming later in the day.  My only problem is the alcohol.  I tried to make sure i drank a bottle of water after each cocktail so i wouldn't drink the alcohol out of thirst, but the later the day got the more I consumed.  Then Sunday we were so wiped from the day before that we ordered take out.  Ouch!  I didn't weigh myself this morning because it's TTOTM and with all the drinking and sun I wanted to make sure i was rehydrated and not carrying any additional water weight.  So all in all the weekend started off great, but my only vice left (drinking) got the best of me.  At least I got the workout to help compensate for additional calories.  My goal is to be below 150 by July 31st.  We'll see if that happens.  No more drinking for the rest of the month.

I too am a member of this club.  For years I have never had to worry about weight or losing it, until recently.  I was hit with a lot all at once last summer. My company closed, I moved in with my boyfriend, I was put on a large dose of hormones and I quit smoking.  All of these things led me to gain about 20 pounds over the course of a few months.  I have been struggling for the last three months or so to lose any of it.  I have bounced back and forth between 155 to 150.  Never dipping below the 150 (except for when i did the Master Cleanse, but i gained it back).  I used to be around 130-135 and that was my comfortable weight, when i was really active I was around 125.  I'm 5'6 1/2 and today I weighed in at 154. My goal weight is 135 for now.   My goal for July is to get below 150.  I am so glad I have found this site, it is so motivating and helpful.  I hope we all get out of this club soon and down to the 140 club :)
