I just found this forum and have just had a good time reading your posts since seems like a total of 2yrs or so.

I am at 135, from 218. But it has taken alot of yo-yo weight gain and low's. I am hoping I am done with that. So what has been the hardest part of maintaining? Do you all eat well during the week and have free weekends?

I have found something recently that is working for me. Incline crunches with an 8lbs  medicine ball. It's HURTS, but it's really shrinking that baby belly sag you are talking about. I recently started a hard core abs program of about 300 abs in an hour doing it in different ways. And I have noticed a difference in 3wks. Give it a try. I don't know that it will make it go away and you have a flat belly again, but it will sure shrink it down and you will feel muscle again. : )

This person really must of been tall. Or her body was all muscle and no fat maybe. My experience with weight and size is this, about 2yrs ago I weighed 153, and could never drop below that, but I wore a sz 8 very comfortable. I worked out alot so I lost a ton of inches. I gained the weight back and I am now at 160 wearing a sz 12 loosely... I am sure I could wear a sz 10 now, but I haven't tried to go shopping since I want to loose another 26lbs and be in that wonderful sz 4 that I wore about 10yrs ago. HA! Btw I am 5'2 curvy frame.

I know how you feel, I wish I was in the 130's, but nope...anyway.. I have gained weight since started my workouts and eating healthy so who knows...let me know if you get an answer, I am curious to know what the heck is going on with me too... : ) Good luck!

Thank you for your responses.  As to why I asked my chiropractor, well I was in for my weekly visit and I thought why not. That is why. Plus it seemed like a good eating plan I could try for 4wks, surely it would not kill me and it would schock my body after so much garbage I had in my body.  I needed a boost to get me in the right path again.

Whole grain carbs? What are they? Can I have whole grain bread?

she never gave me specifics on grams of anything, just a list of foods I can eat unlimited, one only once a week, and one with NO< NO's. Which the NO's are pretty much everything with sugar or high in carbs.  That is why I fear my body going into starvation mode with not eating enough calories...

I am right there with you, I am at 166 right now wearing a sz 10 pushing into a 12. I was a sz 8 about 6mo ago, but have gained 12 pounds since the holidays. I cannot seem to get motivated and girl I have some major cottage cheese going on in the legs and butt...my arms are bad too. I was doing awesome, but I guess I let food get me again and lack of activity has really messed me up.

I cannot seem to get back on it either, I always make excuses so I am just down right bummed.... : (

The lowest I have ever weighed is 130 and that was when I was 19...so ten years later seems like 30++ pounds don't seem to want to come off.

by the way I am 5'2 also.

You have heard it in the above post's , you are not eating enough. I use hate eating in the morning, But I made myself even with a piece of fruit or something, now I have a 1 piece of toast and 1 boiled egg every morning.....I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks during the day. I promise you that your metobolism with shoot up if you feed it like this. I have lost a total of 60 pounds in 1 yr. I also work out 3-4 times a week. I do it during my lunch hour, I go to the gym, sweat and come back to work, it doesn't sound pleasant I know, but I promise you I feel better when I go home and know that I can sit on the couch if I wanted to the rest of the evening and not feel guilty b.c I got it out of the way during the day. Chin up. You can do it!!!! Give it some time and don't give up. : _ Good Luck

I am going to take the advice, and just take a small break. I will continue my class workouts of 3x a week, but lay off the daily cardio. I know I need it, but WOW, I am tired. I will eat goodies, but to a limit, let's see how it goes. Wish me luck!!!!

Your story hits home for me, I loved it. I am glad I am not the only one going through the same things, I am a sz 8 reg, large 6. I am currently wearing a pair of black capris(sz8) that I loved when I tried them on, washed them and put then on this AM, HELLO they shrank to a large 6.  so my waist if fine, but my hips are a little tight....oh well......hoping as the days goes on they will stretch.

I am also in the dilemma of sometimes finding that not even a sz 8 will fit in certain clothes. YUCK. So I have to stick to certain brands or even the same brand, but a different cut. Tell you what fashion can be so difficult.

P.S added you to my friend list, you and I have the same goal of 140, I am currently 154-156.

Initially I did mostly cardio and lost inches and weight, for about 2-3 months  I have been doing a weight lifting class 3x a week and have lost 1 pant sz. with little to no cardio some weeks, so it depends where you are with your muscle vs fat type thing.

Cardio and weight together will give you beutiful results, so don't stop, you will see results when you least expect it.

Don't worry about too much. Like *minbin* said stress causes it to be late too. I was 1 week late and here I am not pregnant and had it a week ago. So it might getting off the pill and dieting...I understand you not wanting to be mainly b/c of how close the little ones will be and how expensive daycare and kiddos are these days, but don't forget the blessing you are given and like you said earlier, lucky to be able to have them. So chin up. Whatever happens is meant to happen for a reason.

I have been on kick for 2 hard boiled eggs and 1 large slice of the 7 grain bread toasted with the spray butter no calorie, comes to like 247calories or so. I might start a shake here soon...

I find that vitamins make so hungry, so I quit taking them. I am sure that is the point of waking up your body, but WOW was not helping my weight loss any, so any suggest?

Hi!

I am just now getting back to this website and posting. My dilemma is this, I have been in the 159-157 range for a while now. I have been working out alot more and have had to increase my calories because of it. So I go up and down daily between that range, from having a bad weekend/week to water retention, or not eating enough b/c of I have worked out more...honestly it's getting to be silly even dissapointing. What can I do to get down in the 155-150 range?? I work out every other day for 1-2hrs a day, eat about 1500 calories a day. Should I increase my calories? or what?

I completly understand, I have been working out non-stop for 8 months now, and either loose 3 pounds or gain it. My meals are not restricted, but like you I don't over do it. My inches have dropped but it's discouraging to not see the scale drop. So chin up, I know what it's like to work your B**off and not see results on the scale. Health wise we are moving right?! : ) Keep us posted.

hi!

We have a mexican night every friday night, the hard part about that is the chips and salsa, I can eat the whole basket. Which there alone is probably 1000 calories. So I try to only have 5 chips and push the basket to the end of the table, then I usually order something a la carte. So you don't have all that food in from of you.

I completely understand. Sorry to say it doesn't change..maybe gets to longer period then every 5min. But it's constant. I am just lucky the bathroom is only a few steps away. Which sometimes is not good.......... (yuck).

I do eat alot of processed foods, and I am afraid that is where my problem is coming from.

Water is 72oz a day

Excersise is 4x a week. 60min cardio everyday

Tell me about...but at least you are loosing so don't worry. I am frustrated and maybe can some ideas here, I decreased my calories by 200 and increased my workout by an extra 30mins, I will loose .5-1 one day then gain it back the next. I am really getting frustrated b/c I feel I am loosing on good food for no reason.

What is going on?????????

I read somewhere on here on a post where I need to increase my calories a few days to loose weight? HUH??
