well i am back from Cancun. i didnt lose any weight, i think i may have actually gained a little but i refuse to get on the scale. i have been trying to get back on the wagon all week, and so far i've done ok, but i need to get back into working out, its so hard!

the bike is great. i have posted some stuff about it just check the forums. but i have lost a lot of inches on my thighs! now if i could just get the abs in check.....

well i do turn the resistance up and down. and i sweat like a pig and am sore the next day so i know i am doing something right. its never and easy ride, i am always tight when i get off. thanks for the info.

thanks tracyvision. gettingmylifeback, no i dont think the 5 inches came off in 2 weeks! lol..i would say maybe a month or 2. all i know is when i started working out i noticed a difference in my clothes. remember i wasnt exercising when i started CC. i am mad at myself for not exercising because this process could have been a lot faster. i would probably be at my 10lb goal by now. but its all good, no looking back. only forward.  the bike is very good, i like to turn the resistance up and down.

hey finewine, i am from baltimore. make sure you get some crabs or a crabcake while you are here!!! whew! i love those. my passion is brownies and pizza hut. man i havent had those in a while....

slappy i have one of those bikes too, i put a post up about it. i wanted to know if the calories burned was accurate. i would ride it for 30 minutes and it would say that i burned like 500 calories!! and this is at about 23-25 mph. i had a hard time figuring out how to log that in on here as well, so i just chose very vigorous. the name of my post was "stationary bike?"

thanks! i have tried it with the mp3 once. i liked it. i got more energy to push through the end when this one song i like came on.

this is hilarious, i actually was taking a strip aerobics class last year and I LOVED it. It is a good workout and a good ego booster. They had a variety of classes: floor/chair, pole class, combo, etc. You could even purchase the platform shoes. I miss that class. I stopped because I moved across town, but I heard they were opening another location near me in the fall, and if they do I am back in business!! lol!

alright now cecilyb03!! Yeah its much easier for me to break my pounds up, then when you reach the goal, it makes you keep it up to lose the rest. Its also a good reward for yourself, instead of saying, "ugh I only lost 5lbs and I have 15 more to go"..

yeah i rode it again last night and it said around the same amount of calories. actually a little more than before. closer to 600. i was riding pretty fast, i think it said like 25 mph, not sure but it was around 20 something. and it was 11.5 miles in 30 minutes. i turned the resistance down, but i was still sweating like a pig. i heard that you should turn the resistance down to burn fat and turn it up to build muscle is that true??

see thats what i mean. when i looked it up it said around 300 calories. BUT you also have to factor in the fact that the arms move on my bike. so maybe the 541 is right?

daddyspumpkin-wow!! you ride 40 miles a day?? dam and i thought i was doing something with 11!! well it said that i burned 541 in 30 min, but here's the thing, the bike doesnt have a feature where you put in your age and weight, at least i havent found it yet. so do you still think it would be accurate??

1beavis1, I will definitely let you know. You can add me as a friend if you want (cuz I don't have any on here!! lol). But I can tell you that my sides and arms are killing me right now! It is definitely a full body workout. When I got off that bike yesterday the skin on my thighs felt like it was about to pop!! thats how tight they were. But I made sure I stretched afterward. The legs aren't too bad today, but the arms and obliques are!! I'm happy about that because I really want to work on the fat in my middle! I hope this will help. I already changed my diet, so I hope this exercise will do the rest.

Well I rode it for the 1st time yesterday. I did it for 30 minutes and it said that I burned 541 calories!! I don't know if that is acccurate or not. If anyone has any idea please let me know. I was drenched! And I kept changing the intensity between high and low (intervals). It was a good workout and my legs were on fire. I can feel the soreness in my arms and sides. I struggled with it and had to take breaks but I made sure I kept moving around when I would get off (electric slide!! lol). I really want to know about the accuracy of the calories burned. Thinsky, I bought the bike from WalMart for $88. Its an air bike. Not very heavy so you can easily slide it to where you want it. The only thing I don't like about bikes is that the seat hurts your inner thighs and butt. I put a pillow on it and it helped a little.

ok well this is really weird, because CC says that i burn 2000 calories typically! I am still somewhat confused on how many I should be eating to lose weight. When I check the allowance it changes (it gets lower), I guess because its getting closer to my goal date. Any help with this one?? How many should I eat??

Oh and ps-I BOUGHT AN EXERCISE BIKE! I can't believe it, but I am finally motivated to get moving!!

That is definitley something to be proud of. Congrats. You got me motivated. I'm actually proud of myself because i walked my dog yesterday for 30 MINUTES and worked up a sweat! I am the queen of hating any exercise, but I pushed myself to walk the route even further at a quick pace. Now if I could just do that everyday.....

wow. it really feels good to have people encourage you. i have always gone at this alone. glad i found the site....

i really dont want to weigh myself everyday. i dont know whats happened to me but i've just started doing it! i think i am going to stop.

kipp-i have been stressed this month, death in the family, personal issues..so maybe i need to get a hold on things. thanks for having faith in me. it feels good.

artemisia-you know i measured myself this morning and its still the same measurements that it was in April. that depressed me today, but i am not going to get frustrated with that because i havent started my exercise portion yet. i think it will change once i do that (which will be very soon!)
