Hello Everyone!

I am currently in the Marine Corps.  I am active duty on Camp Lejeune.  I have been in for 6 years and I am a Sgt. 

I am trying to lose weight and gain muscle!!! WHOO HOO!

I am 5'3" and currently weigh 142 lbs.  I am also a 34DDD.    When I tried counting calories before I lost A LOT of my boobs.  I thought I looked funny because I have always had big breasts and now they were smaller and my stomach still hadnt shrank.  After keeping on it, my stomach fat eventually went away as well.   What im saying is... you may stay just as proportionate as you are now... it just may take a while for things to even out... haha. Laughing

I am really wishing my boobs would go down again.  I have just started back on this journey.  I want them smaller. :(

Yes... as I said I am still counting the calories... I am eating no less than 1200.  Is that still the right number?

I dont understand how you even do that.  My breakfast totals around 400-500 cals a day.  You wont lose any weight at all unless you eat more.  That is just how it works.  You should not feel guilty for eating a healthy amount of food.  What you are consuming is very unhealthy.

I feel your pain.  I have been STUCK at 136.5 forever!  Seriously though about 6 weeks.  Its KILLING ME!!!  I just dont know what to do about it.  I have uped my calories to about a 100-200 calorie deficit and nothing.  Im pretty upset about this.  Im not losing inches either... which would be fine... I would be happy with that even.  Nope... nothing.  *Big Sigh*  :(

I was/having the same problem... I have been STUCK for FOUR WEEKS at the same weight.  So, being depressed I have binged when I got home after work for the past three days.  I think I lost half a pound.  I dont get it.  How much am I supposed to eat???

From breakfast to about lunch time I have four boiled eggs (just the whites), a banana, a cup of fiber one honey clusters w/ skim milk, and a little box of raisins.  I looooove breakfast! haha... I couldnt definitely not do without it. :)

I am having the same problem... I upped my calories by 200, and sometimes I eat maintenance to try and shock my body.  I changed up my workout routine and even added more weight training.  I have been stuck at 136.5 for 4 and half weeks.  I binged last night because I felt so fat and really wanted to give up.  I got back on the wagon today though and am trying to keep it going.  Im just really discouraged as I am STUCK... and Im stuck good.

I actually eat something almost every hour.  My meals are completely stretched out.   I am constantly eating something.  If I only ate every three hours I wouldnt make it to my calorie range for the day.  *shrugs* haha :)

Are you getting 1300 *net* calories or 1300 total?  If you are only getting 1300 total... then you arent eating enough.  You should eat at least 1200 calories + whatever you burn to put you at a healthy deficeit of 500-800.  Make sense? :)

Im kinda jumping in the middle here.... but I also have 10-15 lbs to lose.  I actually have been stuck for SEVERAL (I mean several) weeks now at one weight and its KILLING ME! :)  I have 11 lbs to get to my goal weight.  I really want to give up because I havent seen any reduction in my apperance either.  Its upsetting.  What do I do?  haha... I guess if you had the answer you wouldnt be posting though.. hehe. :D  Let me know if you solve the mystery.

When I go shopping and look at the nutrition label... I always check everything on it.  So if the fat is too high or the sat fat is too  high or even the sugar or sodium... I dont buy it.  I can always find something that has better "stats" so to speak.  :)  Just a personal preference... not a professional opinion.  haha

Dont worry about it Hun... Just get back on track and put that behind you! :)  It will be ok.   Everyone has binge days.  Those days might actually even help you... to keep your metabolism guessing.  Youre doing great.  Keep it up.  :)

Ok whew... that was a close one... haha.  I almost had a melt down! hehe.  :)  I dont drink protein shakes but I do usually have a cup of cottage cheese for dinner after I work out, and that has TONS of protein in it. 

How long after a work out do you have to replace the amino acids before its too late?

Yes you should.  You need to be at a total of no less than 1200 (for females) *net* calories a day.  So if you eat 1200 and then burn 200, you need to eat 200 more to get back up to 12... make sense?  So the more you burn the more you get to eat! :)  Hope I helped.

Well crap!  Now Im confused.  Someone posted on here that if you weight lift and then do your cardio it will be more effective.  You can use up all the glycogen first weight lifting and then start to burn fat when you do your cardio.  So If it goes: Glycogen, Amino Acids, then fat....I dont know... I mean....How can you build muscle if it eats your amino acids!?  Jeez... just when I thought I had things under control.

I have the Healthy Choice French Bread pizza's sometimes for lunch.  That way I can still have pizza... the healthy way! :)  They taste pretty good as well.

I am originally from San Dimas, California.  Currently stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC.  :)

I just broke through a plateau, and Im pretty proud of myself.  :)  I will get to my goal... I will keep pushing until I make it.  The reward will be sweet.  :)  DONT GIVE UP!
