| After reading you posts (and having a good cry) I confronted my mother and she agreed that it's best to nip this thing in the bud. She's promised to call the doctor's office first thing in the morning and is going to request the same woman who I saw for my physical this year; she was very down to earth and understanding, I feel she'll be able to set things straight for me. All of the information you posted was wonderful. I can't thank you enough! Just to restate this, I knew full well that what I was doing was totally stupid, but couldn't get that totally through my thick skull... we'll just pretend that makes sense... The truth, despite how blunt it may be, is what it is and ain't nothin' goin' to change that one lick. With any luck, keep your fingers crossed for me, I'll be able to make it in to speak with the doc after practice tomorrow morning. I might wind up printing some of this info out and taking it with me, if ya'll don't mind, to share with her. Again, I really can't thank you all enough. With any luck I'll get back on track and stay that way until the bitter end! |

| Wow, I didn't realize how anal that intial post made me sound. Haha! Granted, shooting for only grade-A material is rather obsessive but that doesn't mean I'm not enjoyin' them apples. Heck, I had three of 'em the other day just 'cause I couldn't get enough of their sweet, sweet goodness... Which should've probably tipped me off to the high sugar content mess that started this whole thing. ^_^;; I guess the moral of this is that I should just lighten up a bit, but... My heart can't help but ache for those poor apples gettin' a bum wrap like that. It just ain't right, man... (Oh, and, Elin, thanks for the link. Very interesting; wish I'd have found it sooner.) |

| I understand your sucre comment, alifranroy, but it still bites big wind that I feel all guilty over snacking on something exponentially better than, say, a Hershey bar or something equally accessible. Bah! | |||
