Thanks so much! I am always looking for great recipes that taste good and have lots of fiber and protein!
Hi Phoenix - I don't see why you couldn't substitute. Just remember your stats will be different than what was originally posted (e.g. the grams of fiber and protein). |

Thanks, Jeff. That makes two of us. I have never posted anything before (today). I found that to be one of the hardest things to do, to maintain. Seems most of my life I've dieted, but always had trouble maintaining. This site is going to help me do that (once I've reachieved my goal weight Wanda |

I love those "treats" too. I also like to take the light (fully mixed) yogurt and freeze it. I pretend it's ice cream! I also use these to make my version of a milkshake. I did have to learn that I was only allowed ONE bag of the 100 calorie oreo crisps and not two or three! Another great 100 calorie snack is the balance snack size peanut butter bar. I too am an emotional eater. I am reading Dr. Oz's book "You on a Diet". It's really great for helping me learn why I feel/felt the need to eat 24/7. It's written in VERY plain english and a little comical too. I love that part. It does help lighten the moment. |

Hi Christina I pulled this off the internet I would eliminate the salt (and the mint - sounds strange to me), and add a scoop of vanilla protein powder (if you have it), and a little Splenda if you need a little sweetner. I also enjoy adding a little ground flaxseed and/or flaxseed oil for extra nutrition. I also freeze my fruit first. Helps to make it thicker w/o using a lot of ice. Title: Mango SmoothieKeys: Beverages Drinks Low Calorie Fat Free Diet Tropical Fruits Yield: 1 Servings Ingredients: 1 x Ripe mango, peeled, pitted, chopped, (approx. 1-1/4 cups) 3/4 cup Milk, skim, chilled 1/4 cup Nonfat vanilla yogurt 3/4 tsp Vanilla extract 3 x Ice cubes 1 pch Salt Fresh mint sprigs Method: Combine all ingredients except mint in blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Garnish with mint. |

| I totally agree with you! I love the fact that I can watch how I am eating "nutritionally". I'm sure most of us (who have been doing this for years off and on) have the calories pretty much memorized. I, for one, never paid attention to the sodium content I was ingesting. I thought that canned green beans were a great choice (being low in calories). I was rudely awakened when I realized my "great food choice" rated a D+. I am now paying close attention to those labels and loving that there is a nutrition report that keeps me on track. | |||
