I was homesick last weekend. The most helpful thing, other than talking on the phone to my family, was getting out and excersising. Walking outside in the sunshine really cheered me up and got my endorphins going. If you can't go outside, I would read a book. If you can't read a book, do some art! |

It might just be the brand Lucerne. I've tried their cottage cheese before and it's pretty nasty. Knudsen is really good though. |

I find that if for some reason I haven't eaten at my usual time - like if my family is going to have dinner together but we have to wait for my dad to get home from work and it's later than I'm used to eating - I get a little irritable. It could be that I'm frustrated by having to adjust my schedule and/or that I'm starting to get hungry. |

Oh, yes, I forgot that part!!! Thanks for the clarification. Not all soy is bad or dangerous! And even unfermented soy can be okay in moderation. |

I'm really not qualified to give out advice on dosage. You should do some research and see what other people with more experience have recommended. Hope it helps!!! |

It's so great you're working on recovering. That's very admirable and brave of you! I would highly suggest having someone along to support you during your tough times. Someone to reassure you that you're doing the right thing. Someone who you know loves you no matter what. It's very important that you don't go through this alone. |

| I can't explain why I feel guilty. I know it's unfounded. I guess it makes me feel a little better to know that there are other vegetarians out there that eat eggs. | |||

| Absolutely none of you are overweight or need to lose any weight whatsoever. You're all slender. Am I the only one who thinks this? Someone back me up! | |||
| Health & Support | Girls recovering from EDs... how often do you weigh? | Feb 03 2008 20:38 (UTC) |
|
| I weigh myself rarely. There is no scale where I'm currently living, and I never get to the gym where there is one. Occasionally I will weigh when I go home, which may be every few months, but that scale isn't accurate. I just like to check in every so often to make sure I'm not losing any weight, but if you end up obsessing about checking the scale quite often, and worrying about gaining, I suggest you lay of weighing for a while. | |||
| Health & Support | In those jeans... | Feb 02 2008 16:47 (UTC) |

| What a coincidence! I just made a journal entry about the exact same thing. It's hard for me to accept it, since some of my jeans still fit fine, even a little loose, when others the same size are tight. From now on, I only want to wear jeans that fit right and make me feel fabulous. | |||

| Foods | Coffee- what do you order? | Jan 26 2008 23:00 (UTC) |

| Oh yea! I forgot - when I get the urge for a frappuccino, I order the light espresso frapp from starbucks. It's 80 calories for a tall with no whip. | |||
| Foods | Coffee- what do you order? | Jan 26 2008 22:57 (UTC) |

| I either get black coffee and add my own tiny bit of nonfat milk or soymilk with splenda, or I get iced coffee straight up, no milk or sweetener.
Before I counted calories, I was not a big coffee drinker, but I liked Starbucks mocha frappuccinos. With whip. Venti. (500 calories, 17 grams of fat!) |

| Same thing happened to me. My first one was very light, almost like no period at all, and I almost thought it wasn't one. It was still irregular for a few months, but it's getting more normal as time goes on. Give it time, and congrats on getting it back! | |||

| This is really simple, vegetarian-friendly, but high in sodium.
1/2 package extra firm tofu (160 calories) 1/2 package shirataki noodles (20 calories) fry them in a pan sprayed with pam and 2 tbsp soy sauce (20 calories) steam 2 cups broccoli (60 calories) Chop up the tofu and toss it with the noodles and broccoli! Total: 260 calories and very filling. |
