| grande1, we are in the same boat! Same height, weight, and goal. It's definitely shocking to realize how much you intake with only 1500 calories....I could probably add 1000 cals just by munching! :)
I got a few replies to my weeping story about not being motivated to go to the gym before I go to work. Thing is, I'm up at 0530 every morning to get ready and I have to leave by 0645. I get an hour for lunch and I'm home by 1700 every night. By that time, I just want to cook some dinner and spend time with my hubby. I KNOW that I have to run (I'm a former Marine, so believe me, I know how important it is to PT all the time). I'm just so dang tired! And running on the treadmill doesn't cut it, either...If I'm going to run, I'm going to run outside. It's 1000 times better. I don't mind if it rains, either, but when it rains here, most of the time it's near typhoon. Literally. So that's my dilemma. |

| I got promoted at work, which is great, but it leaves me so exhausted at the end of the day that all I want to do is lay on the couch and visit with my husband. I have no motivation to go to the gym, and since I only have an hour for lunch, I find myself eating out more. I still watch what I get when I grab lunch, but I can't be as good as I want to be. I can just fell myself getting flabby again and it makes me want to break down. I'm so sick of all my tiny friends who never watch what they eat and have never spent a minute in the gym and look fantastic. It makes me feel like crap. And it's so rainy here on Okinawa, too, so I never want to get outside. I just feel so crappy. Blah. | |||

| Welcome, Tara! I totally understand where you're coming from...I'm a former Marine and when I got out of bootcamp I had a body that even IIII was jealous of! Unfortunately, we don't all have Drill Instructors watching over us every second of everyday! :S Hopefully we can all join the 140s and 130s group at the same time! :) | |||

| stormsrun...isn't it amazing when that happens? you think you've gone and done yourself in for the day, and you realize you still have a little room left in the max! it's pretty awesome that you went to the gym after, too.
last night my husband & i went to the macaroni grill (it's the only restaurant on base here on okinawa). i thought the salads there were pretty good for the longest time until i looked them up! so i'm an avid skinny chicken girl now. last night i was really tempted to get the shrimp portifino, but i just DIDN'T DO IT!!! i couldn't. i knew that if i did it once, i'd do it again. we were supposed to go to the gym last night, but i'm getting ready for "aunt flow" to visit and just didn't feel like it. i can't really use that as an excuse, i haven't really felt like it in 2 weeks. which is pathetic. but i'm taking my comp time today and the hubby has a half day so we're going to scuba dive (we just got certified last weekend!). I can't wait! And I just found out it burns 492 cal per hour! WOO HOO! Wish me luck! |

| Everyone seems so motivated to get down to the 140s group! I LOVE IT!!! I'm still a little unmotivated because of my new, tiring promotion, but that's why I'm here! Last night I was supposed to go to the gym with my husband but when I got home in the evening, I put on some PJs and made a pot of beef stew. So I'm still dead-on with the eating-right, but I just haven't worked up the working out in 3 weeks. | |||

| Hi guys! This is my first time posting for the 150s group! Over the past 2 months, I've been up to 159 and down to 151. Now I'm somewhere inbetween, depending on the day! :( I live on Okinawa, so it's ALWAYS bathing suit season here! My husband & I just got scuba certified, so we'll be going to the beach more often! I'm a former Marine, so I try to stay as active as I possibly can, but I just started a new job and when I get out of work at 5:00, I just want to go home and relax with the husband. It's so hard to want to get my butt out for a run!
Anyone care to see how hard we can push each other to get outside??? |

| Hellllo!!! Believe me, you are so not alone. I'm 24 years old...I'm not fat...but I'm skinny. I'm at 155 now but I'd like to be about 15 lbs less. I love to go running and head off to the gym with my husband, who's a fitness buff. All we do on weekends is BBQ and drink...lord knows I love to go out and party! We're stationed on Okinawa, so being on a tropical island where it's always beach weather doesn't help.
This is what I've learned...... I've already lost 5 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks of doing this. If you like mashed potatoes, make mashed potatoes. I started making mine with fat free sour cream, a little bit of fat free half & half (land o lakes), and some country crock. I'll throw in the garlic and maybe even some 2 % cheese. What I love about this sight is that you can include your favorite things, just when you indulge in one thing, cut back on another. Chocolate? Who doesn't love chocolate??? I've started on the pudding packs because they're pretty low in calories and they're so good! I also love the 100 calorie cookie packs....oreo & chips ahoy. And the drinking....as long as you're not drinking every night of the week....I wouldn't stress too much about it. You're only young once. But what I have started doing is drinking Bacardi Limon and Diet. It doesn't sound to great, but you get used to it. Plus, it's only 68 calories in a highball glass. Corona Light only has 104 calories per bottle, which isn't too bad either, if you're a beer drinker. I see that a lot of people on here find friends and stick to getting motivation and advice from them. I haven't really branched out that way yet; I just use it to log everything! But if you want, I know I could sure use someone who knows exactly where I'm coming from! Hope this all helped! Elizabeth |

| Yeah, I guess peasant thighs is a good way to put it! I have a really small upperhalf and my lower half has always been bigger. Cankles galore! haha
I've been keeping up with my health for years now. But it seems like without the stress weightloss, nothing works. I guess I should just keep on truckin'...at least I'm healthy! |

| Right now I'm anywhere from 1100 to 1300 per day. I'd really like to get down to 140ish... | |||
