There are fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) and water-soluble vitamins (B vitamins and C). If you consume too much of the water-soluble vitamins you will uriate it out. If you consume too much of the fat-soluble vitamins then it is stored in the liver and in fatty tissue of the body. They are eliminated from the body much slower than water-soluble vitamins. So, the statement above that any extra vitamins that we don't need are urinated out is not entirely correct. I think we need to be careful about the information we post in these forums. Maybe you should discuss this issue with your doctor more in depth maybe there is another reason he/she didn't fully explain. Or maybe discuss it with another doctor. This doctor obviously has a medical opinion about this and you need to dig a little deeper w/ the doctor.

Did you take measurements before your weightloss? You may have gained some muscle. Running isn't just great cardio it does help build muscle. When I first did Couch to 5K I lost 5-6 pounds (total) the first few weeks. But then I tapered off around weeks 4-8. Luckily, I had taken measurements and lost about 8 inches off my body. Even if you didn't take measurements, are your clothes fitting any differently? |

My daughter is almost a year old and I had started using CC before she was born and had lost about 20 pounds. During my pregnancy, I gained about 35. It took me about 4 months to get that 35 pounds off. BUT that was with VERY diligent calorie counting and crazy exercise. She was my third and I am now over 30. Several people told me that I wouldn't be able to do it b/c the third baby really changes things compounded by being over 30. Honestly, it was WAY easier the third time around then it ever was with the first 2. I lost my baby weight from my first child in about 6 months and never really lost the baby weight from the second until I joined CC. Good luck to all of you. CC really is a great tool. 4 weeks is a bit soon to expect too much weight to be gone. Your uterus hasn't fully shroken back to its pre-pregnancy size (I've read it can take 6 weeks). You can do it!!!! |

| I tried the following Couch to 5K program and I am now training for a marathon. I went from being a non-runner. I don't think I had ever run a mile in my life to LOVING it. I look forward to it everyday.

| Both the cool runnings website and the Hal Higdon websites are FABULOUS!!!! I started out w/ cool runnings to help me start running. It helped me learn how to run and get me to the point where I could do it. I now use the Hal Higdon website b/c it has a 30 week marathon training guide that is AWESOME. It is for the novice marathoner. I hope to run my first one in September!!!! | |||
