just thought i'd pop in... i got into the 120's today (bbbbbbaaarely) i'm 129

i know it could change, but i won't let it!! my next mini goal is 127.

hey everyone. still at 134. my body clearly REALLY likes it here. and i'm going to be ok with that for a little while. i've lost 20 something lbs in less than 3 months, which for a short person like me is a lot. yes, eventually, i want to lose 10 more, but there's no real rush. they'll come eventually, if at all, when my body's ready. i can't realistically cut more cals or excercise *much* more at this point, so i might just 'rest' here for a few and take a breather...

omg. the scale read 140.8 this am. probably water weight and it'll be back up tommorow,  but whatever! i'm psyched!

exactly. and i know i have lots of muscle, i gain muscle really easily.  plus, a lot of my weight is in my boobs, which never shrink (32 full C/Small D)... i actually feel ok, for once

also -- if you're not eating a lot of that kind of processed carbs the rest of the week, your body's not used to it so you'lll retain some water... no worries.. just drink up!!!

i second the rum and diet (or gin with a diet tonic!) but one thing to remember is that they've found that without the sugar in your mixers, you absord more alchohol and faster, meaning you'll get drunk quicker and possibly have a worse hangover. especially if you're eating a low-cal diet anyway.

my drink of choice is a sam-adams light or a gin and tonic. yes, its cals, but if you stick to one, your're fine. OR, just have a nice heart-healthy glass of redwine (but stick to one!!)

i also have that... and i'm not a huge fan of it, but honestly, its natural to have a little fat there. its like all women, even thin women have a little fat on their hips. its just biological. women have fat on their lower abs to protect their reproductive system. i know its not super hot, but its hard to cheat nature.

this might be weird, but i wear a sportsbra OVER a regular bra with cups. its the only thing i've found that stops my 32-Ds from bouncing all over the place.

just wanted to stress the face -- especially since you're recovering from anorexia -- how important it is to eat REAL foods. judging from your food log, you tend to snack. what would happen if you planned a day, of 3 meals with 2-3 snacks spread through out the day and the vast majority of that was real, unprocessed food. it doesn't have to be totally "perfect."

i.e.

Breakfast:

breakfast with milk and a sliced banana and walnuts mixed in

am snack: yogurt

lunch: salad with some beans for protein

pm snack: rice cakes and peanut butter

dinner: steamed veggies and tofu

optional after dinner snack: 100% juice fruit pop or a nice orange.

could you do something like that? just for a day, and see how it goes?

also-- are you working with a doctor and therapist to address the anorexia?

well.. i'm in the week before my period right now. so far i've plateau'd for a good solid week before. and even "gained" a lb or two, but i was back down this morning. it still hasn't started yet, although i totally feel like it will any moment. i'm hoping to go down about .5-1 lb water weight, in addition to the lb that dropped this morning.

oh sweetie,.. i'm sorry, that sucks. but good for you for wanting to take care of yourself. i'd try other things that feel good but don't involve food, esepcially stuff that gets you out of the house. go see a movie you've been wanting to see, and sneak in some healthy snacks like airpopped popcorn or a pre-measured portion. get a manicure. go over to a close friends house and share with her your strugge not to binge.  if you can afford to blow a few bucks and don't tend to have problems with compulsive shopping, go to a facorite store and buy yourself something (within reason.. likea  new pair of comfy pjs) you've been craving. go to a park and lie out in the sun with a good book, some water and sunscreen!

good luck, and if you do slip, don't beat up on yourslef because this IS  really hard time.

yayayay. new month -- new goals! alright!


i made my last months goals which were to break 150 and to log my food every weekday and wake up early to go the gym...

goals for august:

lose a total of 4 lbs, preferably one a week, but i know it doesn't always work like that. that'll get me down to about 145 (YEEEESSSSS!!!!!)

be able to run 4 miles without stopping (i can do about 2.5 now)

cut back my weightlifting to 3-4 times a week, but do it HARDER, so i'm SORE and see better results.

instead of giving myself all weekend without logging, just give myself one day without logging.

and finally, get my water consumption up a little cuz i was starting to slack

yeah up to about a week before and during i gain 2-5 lbs water weight that drops right off when i'm done.

no -- i don't think its too strict either, just interesting that these things vary. and either way, it doesn't really matter. my measurement is what it is, and my anyone's standards, its AT LEAST in the acceptable range, and i'll continue to work on getting it even lower...
