From what you state are the sites estimates you are probably going to have to increase your calorie intake in order to maintain weight loss.  I would be most afraid of a weight loss stall at theses low calorie intake levels.  it seems you have a very large deficit >1000 calories which is considered my many not healthy for you body... I would try to slowly increase your calories by eating say a handful of nuts or some other high calorie food even something not that great for you like a half a cup of icecream.   If you can't do this then maybe just increase the amount of cereal you have for breakfast or switch from a skim milk to a 2%.

Hope this helps!

I'm a grad student so i typically eat

breakfast 8:00

lunch 12:30

dinner between 5 and 7.

I also eat lots of snacks in between, making sure i bring snacks to classes and have healthy snacks in the office so I'm not tempted by vending machines and the campus diner food

I would love to join the two of you!  It sounds like a great goal and should *crosses fingers* get me into my healthy BMI range.. which i would LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I graduated college last may and have started in a phd program this year, so that puts us all at about the same age i would guess.

My current stats are Weight: 159; Height: 5' 4"; medium frame, and almost always hungry ;o) .  I worked off a lot of weight using this site last year, but broke up with the boyfriend at the time, stopped calorie counting and binged a lot, graduated and lived at home for the summer ... so i gained back a few pounds 8o).  Ive been back on for a bit now and I'm eating much better, I think my long term goal (once i meet my weight goal) will be to eat salad for lunch every weekday and take longer walks and hopefully not have to watch the calories anymore.

I wish you both the best of luck and I hope I can lose it with you!

Im 5'4" sometimes 5'5" if you ask my licence I am currently 175 and my goal is to get to 150 and stay there.  This is my second time using calorie count, I started out at 183 and got down to 148 or so and then midterms a breakup and lazyness set in.  so dont worry about gaining weight, when youre ready to loose it you will... and hopefully i will too!

Best of luck, and feel free to talk to me anytime your feeling down!

Weight Loss Cortislim Help! Aug 21 2006

Cortisol is a necessary bodily excretion (however more than normal amounts can be found in the overly stressed person) I believe, but would have to consult my physio book, that it plays a roll in healing cascades or something (may not be accurate... but i definatly heard my professor right when she said it was necessary...) If i can find out for sure i will post it! (Edited when found the Physio book to add these quotes) "Cortisol has important effects during stres... It increases the ability of vascular smooth muscle to contract in response to norepinephrin. Therefore, a patient with insufficient cortisol fased with even a moderate stress... may develope hypertension." Basically helps to keep the blood movin' i guess.. this quote section however may be of more interest "[refers to some table... that states "Unidentified protective effects against the damaging influences of stress"] (As the tabel notes), we still do not know the other reasons, in addition to the effect on vascular smooth muscle, why increased cortisol is so important for the body's optimal response to stress-that is, for its ability to resist the damaging influences of stress. What is clear is that a person exposed to severe stress can die, usually of circulatory failure, if his or her plasma cortisol concentration does not increase above basal levels." I hope this helps! Weight Loss Cholesterol - please explain Aug 21 2006

I agree with mpriff, cholesterol is important in normal cellular function... and therefore normal bodily function. I wouldnt go too overboard with it though because large amounts of cholesterol can lead to health problems. on average an egg (with yoke) has about 65% of your daily cholesterol.
Weight Loss That time of the month Aug 20 2006

I am also on birth control, but most likely a different brand etc, so im not sure if this will be helpful or not but.....
As long as I increase my water and chocolate intake (ususally the chocolate covered 110 cal pria bars) i find that i still lose weight at a fairly constant rate.
Just be sure not to over eat too much, and even if you do alittle bit, heck, your on your period and people should be happy you're not cranky!
:)
I hope this helps!

If my weight could talk it would say "I'm hiding those chips and chocolates in every place you dont want them! Moooahahahahaha <evil fatty laugh>"

If my binge could talk it would say "Listen to the fat!  those chips and chocolate are well hidden"  Or... "Just one, wafer thin..."
