Shana: Woo Hoo... welcome to the 160's!

Denise: I love Vegas... have fun!

I've been writing report cards and getting ready for Parent Teacher meetings on Thursday....so I have not been eating right or working out. I know what I need to do. Just got to get doing it again.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Where did everybody go? Very quiet lately. I haven't seen any progress lately. Bummer.

I also recommend the C25K program. I started very heavy and had never ran. I made it through. It's all about managable increases. I think the key is to not over do it too fast. Good luck!

The cool running website explains the program:

Weight Loss if i lose 80lb will i end up with saggy skin???? Nov 14 2009

It depends on the person. I'm 5'2 and over about a year and a half I've lost 65lbs. no saggy skin yet. I've still got 20-25lbs more to go. Maybe it's a good thing that things have been happening so slowly.

I can see how people's bodies on The Biggest Loser get saggy skin. They lose weight soooo fast.

So I had the day off today for Remembrance Day. All I did was eat. :(

Don't want to fall into those bad habits again.

 Hey Shauna,

I also take measurements about once a month. That helps when the scale is being stubborn. It's great that you are down a size.

Hi there pianoplaya. Ooo I wish I were 5'8! I'm 159.4 right now, so it will likely take me awhile to get out of the 50's.

Wyogirl: My last plateau lasted over two months. Very frustrating! I changed up my diet a bit. I actually upped my calories and it seemed to help.

Hope things get moving for you soon.

I bought a pair of size 12 jeans on the weekend too. I paid more than I wanted to, but they kinda actually made my butt look good. It's been a long time. I like that I can buy jeans in regular stores instead of plus size stores.

Congrats!

Well done! I'm jealous of your arms. I can't seem to lose my jiggle there!

I've just joined a gym and I'm really trying to work on those arms.

Weight Loss Is anyone out there 5.3 and trying to lose 30 pounds? Nov 05 2009
01:33 (UTC)

I'm 5'2 and I'm now 159 lbs. Down 65 lbs from when I started about a year and a half ago. I have about 20 more to go.

Breakfast was key for me. I usually eat yogurt with some 9 grain cereal mixed in. Eating something that doesn't just give you a quick sugar rush is important.

Find healthy foods you like so you don't feel deprived. Find some activity you like and look forward to. I did the C25K running program. I always thought I despised running, but now I kind of like it. I also started playing hockey.

I also like making mini-goals. I celebrate each 5 pounds. For me the number of pounds I had to lose was overwhelming. Breaking it down to manageable goals was sooo much more manageable.

So I'm listening to a little bit of Elvis right now. He's the only 50's singer I have on my computer.

I am now in the 50's. Woo Hoo! I was 159.4 this morning. Sixty-five pounds gone.

I guess my gym membership is paying off.  I hope everyone else is having a good week.

I hope to have to do some research on some 40's music is a couple of months.

Good to have you back Denisel.

I did have a few Halloween treats this weekend. Also a lasagna supper. It was so good! Good thing I don't do that every weekend.

I did go to the gym twice and I'm going again tonight.

I've been on this site since July '08. I'm down 64 lbs. I still have 24 lbs to go before I'm in the healthy range.

This has become a life style change and not a diet. I don't really have to even think anymore about food choices. I've found many healthy foods I love so I still get my treats. I do find healthy food a lot more pricey though!

I've done C25K a few times and ran my first 5K in October. I joined a gym a couple weeks ago and it's been good so far.

I'm hoping I won't have as much skin sagging since I'm losing fairly slowly.

Best of luck to you and don't give up!

Sorry to hear about your dog April.

I had my class's Halloween party today. Ate a few treats, but I wasn't horrible. It is sooo hard to resist chocolate. I never keep it in my house.

I've been to the gym twice this week. I'm off to curling tonight. I'll burn some calories and try to resist the beer afterwards.

Hello all and welcome new people.

It was my little brother's wedding this weekend, so ate too much, drank too much, danced too much and had too much fun in general.

I was sooo tired this morning. I was almost late for work.

I should go to the gym tonight, but I'm sooo tired. But I've got to get rid of those calories some how.

Way to go Shana!! Two pounds is huge!

I'm down to 162.4 and I'm pretty pumped. I'd love to be in the 150's by halloween.

Hope everyone else is having a good week.

mmmmmmmm Chinese Food. One of my big weaknesses. The salt does bad things to the scale.  I've been there with bad driver's license photos. Must not wait until the last minute to renew and go on a bad hair day ever again!

Started a step class today. I am sooo un-coordinated!

Way to go Shana! Manitoba doesn't make me lie about my weight on my driver's license. But I sure lied about my weight on my passport application. Now I'm way below. I hope you don't get as low as 3Kg though.

I'm fighting a cold, so I hope it passes quickly.

Oooo Shana I wish people would ask me if I've gotten taller. At 5'2 I can only dream! Good for you.

So I actually did it! I finished my 5K in 37:25. I wasn't exactly a speed demon, but I did not stop. I'd been thinking of doing this for a couple of years and I'm pretty happy I could actually do it. It was supposed to snow, but it was actually pretty good weather. Only -3°C so not too bad.

Happy Thanksgivng to my fellow Canadians. Have a great weekend everyone else.

Yay for you JPDAKOTA!!  Welcome to the club. Tongue out

I hear you on eating more to lose. I was on a two month plateau for all of July and August. I started eating more in September and good things happened . I also started training for a 5K (which is this weekend).

Is the Wii Fit Plus really better than Wii Fit? I just got my Wii Fit last January and don't really feel like buying a new one. I do the the Wii Active, which is really good.
