"I feel bad for even being on the forums sometimes because I want to lose so little weight."

I was refering to this and simply saying......please relax no one was attacking anyone.

I feel that anyone who wants to lose weight in a healthy way and be healthy has the right to join this site and take part in the forums.  And yes kcnae3 10 lbs over weight may not be fat to you but to some people it may feel like they are fat so let's agree that everyone has the right to feel what they feel regardless of what other say or feel about it.

Ohh my my my, mental issue........come on because I feel fat because I have 10 lbs to lose.  Like I said I have never been very big BECAUSE once I gain 5 to 10 lbs I work hard to get it down, but for me someone who works hard to stay in shape and has never been very big 10 lbs gain feels/looks fat. This is for me personally.

Seriously kcnae3 anyone can say anything they want about themselves and it is not a reflection on you. If a person feels they are fat and they need to lose 5-10-154 pounds because they FEEL fat at that particular weight that is their prerogative. I have 10 lbs to lose and I will say it I FEEL FAT at this point in time and you can't sit here and get angry about that becasue I have the right to feel how I feel. You may not see me that way but I know that once I lose the 10 lbs I will feel thin like I did before. I'm 5'3 and a very small frame and the 10 lbs REALLY makes a diffrence.

Well...you are wrong.  It does not feel the same.  I have been in both places and it most certainly does not feel the same.

Ok seriously you say it does not feel the same how do you know how other people feel it may feel worse or it may not be so bad but no one can say how someone else feels. I know tons of people who are 100 lbs overweight and don't care and people who have 10 lbs to lose and are really down about it.  Yes I may have a negative body image and I sometimes feel fat and I know I only have 10lbs to lose but that does not make my struggle to lose wight and keep it off any easier then yours.

this is a free and open site and the last time I checked anyone can sign up here no matter if they have 5 or 50 pounds to lose. I am sorry that it bothers you that people who only have 5 or 10 pounds to lose say they are fat..............but maybe they feel fat and when they look in the mirror they see fat. Who knows. everyone here has the right to express their frustration with weight and body image. I only have 10 lbs to lose but when I look in the mirror I feel fat because I used to be thinner. Like I said everyone is different.

I see what you are saying but trust me sometimes it's harder for those of us that don't have that much to lose. I only have about 10 pound sto lose and I work my butt off and the last time I lost took me like 4 months where as a person who has 100 lbs to lose can lose 10 lbs in a month or so. Everyone is here for their own reasons so please don't judge people. I want to lose 10 lbs and i work very hard and am here for the right reasons, it isn't my fault that you have 68 lbs to lose. we are all here to lose weight whether its 5 or 50 lbs.

Weight Loss the lean cusine diet? Feb 13 2007

I have one for lunch almost every day I think they are great but really high in sodium, but they are a great meal in a way that you know exactly how much of what you are eating.  But I wouldn't recommend living of them, have a sensible breakfast and snacks and a lean cuisine for lunch then sensible dinner. I replace only one meal a day with a lean cuisine it does help if you aren't big on counting and measuring.
Weight Loss cant lose 2 lbs a week Feb 06 2007

I do not suggest eating anything less then what you already do. This probably isn't what you want to hear but a pound a week is a healthy weight loss rate. I fear that if you either increase your workout or decrease your caloric intake or both you will put your body in to starvation mode and will actually lose weight slower. Try and up your cardio by 10 to 15 min and add another day of strength training. Doing this will get your deficit in the 700 calorie range but I would not advise going any higher and never go above a 1000.

1 Pound a week is healthy loss, to lose 2 pounds a week you would need to have a deficit of 1000 calories a day. Meaning you would need to burn 1000 more calories then you consume. Did you look at the Tool provided on the site, your expenditure and intake? What are you age, weight, height? How much are you trying to lose? 2 pounds a day maybe to aggressive of a loss if you do not have much to lose.

Well some people can't eat 2000 to 2500 cals a day because they don't run marathons no offense phimegaphi but maybe that works for you but not for everyone. If I ate that many cals I would def. gain and yeah I could work out for 3 hours a day to burn it off but I don't want to, I am happy eating 1200 to 1500 cals and working out for 1.5 hours a day 4 days a week. Not everyone runs marathons and has a whole day to spend at the gym. It's really about what works for you.  So if eating 800 to 900 cals works for someone and they are healthy according to their Dr. then why not. Unless ltlmsmfft Dr is participating in this chat then all this is just peoples oppinions and not facts.

I am 128 and want to be 115lbs and have 13 lbs till goal. My downfall is sweets. Today is not going so well I already had a binge 2 small short bread cookies and 2 herseys kisses. So far I lost 4 lbs this month. I started at 133 but I am sure most of it is water.

I try to go for vodka soda (soda=0 cals) and a shot of vodka is 50 to 70 cals so that way you aren't just taking shots and it's pretty good.
