I LOVE Jillian Michaels!!! I have her shape up and maximize dvds as well as kickboxing. I love her no nonsense just shut up and do it style. Between her and CC I was a size 8 down from a 20/22 and had a most fantastic butt. I say had as I had another baby since and am back to Jillian to regain my pre-preg shape. I've considered getting the 30 day shred and after reading posts about it I'm deffinately going to.

I've used just about everything since my first was born 6 years ago and like the rest of you I'm a sling girl. I've got a ring sling and with my newest baby (almost 10months) I've become a fan of the mobey wrap. My littlest one had sever GERD and I needed to be held upright and just plain held pretty much all day so the mobey was a lifesaver. And like carleyrapp with a little practice I'm a nursing pro with both of mine, I nurse while grocery shopping and noone is the wiser.

I've come back to calorie count after delivering my third daughter in August. After a bought of serious GERD and my second run in with PPD I found myself emotional eating for the first time in my life. I am a SAHM with a 6yo a 3 1/2yo and my little one just turned 9 months and I need to regain my motivation and move my big butt back into my size 8's. Oh and will be bf for at least another 3mo.

Amber we will absolutly do this together! My girls are 5 and 2 1/2 and I breastfed them for 12 months each so you could say I'm an old pro and here for support. Check out the La Leche League web site www.lalecheleague.org/nb.html it has answers to most questions and has great info on nutrition. I'm off to bed.

I'm also currently pregnant due Aug 11. I used to weigh 250+ pounds and between babies managed to get myself down to 163. I also am going to breastfeed and know it's hard to lose weight without affecting your supply, in fact I have yet to any real lose weight while breastfeeding. With my first I gained 30 lbs by her first birthday with my second I lost 15 lbs by her first b-day. My goal is to hit about 145 by the end of the year. Anyway I'm posting to say I'm in it with you and have already devised a plan here it is.

Day I arrive home from hospital begin tracking calories, adding 300-500 per day for breast feeding.

As soon as I'm up to it (probably within a week of delivery) start walking again, slowly and for short periods working up to 30-45min per day. Uping calories a bit.

I'm going to add more physical activity slowly as I feel better and my midwife approves, but hope to start running again about 6 weeks after delivery.

The biggest mistake I made after my first was assuming I could still indulge and the breastfeeding would take care of it, with my second I was smarter but wish I'd had the resources of calorie count to help me more. Use the tools and be realistic, your milk supply comes first.

Hey Dietmtdew I've been craving peanutbutter, the smell alone is glorious. Get back on the excercise track it will help with your energy. I'm also EXHUASTED, I need a daily nap or I get super crabby but if I don't workout it's even worse, meaning I end up in bed at like 7:30 even with a nap.
Puddin I wish I'd moved to maternity clothes sooner in my first pregnancy. Your waist may be 8/10 but the rest of you is probably not, I instanly looked more preg and less chub when I moved into maternity clothes instead of bigger sizes.
Big bellies for us all!!!

Hey Ladies , Just found out this morning #3 is on the way ( I have a two daughters 4 1/2 and 2). The hubby and I are really excited. I've been reading about you all for about a week now and am glad to join the club but I fear you will all hate me. I have a really hard time gaining weight during my pregnancies, I was 6 months preg over christmas with my first and ate everything in sight, I gained 15 lbs. Same story with my second, ate my heart out but gained a whopping 17 lbs this time.

I've read some of you are queasy, try 50mg vit B6 three times a day, lemon (smells or tastes), gingerale, preggie pops/drops (available at Motherhood maternity). My best friend during my 4 months of queasy with my eldest was club soda w/lime. Also talk to your dr/midwife the right prenatal w/B6 can make all the difference. I waited way to long to ask thought it was just my lot, and as silly as it sounds everyday I woke up sick I knew all was ok.

Congrats to all!!!

Hey all

I'm 5'8" and 164 ish, down almost 90lbs from my peak.

I'm shooting for 150-155, I'm small framed but pack a lot of lean muscle. I'm really hoping to loose the rest of my belly and thighs.

I buy my pants at Kohls, Levis 542 are the best, Low rise in the front but come higher in the back so your butt doesn't hang out when you sit down. The lenght is devine, not so long that in sneakers they drag but long enough that I can wear heals.

I used to avoid heals, hey I'm tall enough already right, but these days they make my legs look extremly long and thin. I'm very carefull on which ones I buy, I don't go for style over comfort so I wait until I can find a pair that is both.

hey secret lunges and squats for the hips, weights for the arms, don't be afraid to go heavy it's the only way I got mine to shrink.

hey frogkissin, Cute name by the way, Up until I found this sight the plateaus were more about giving up then a stalling scale. Since CC I've been either really luckly or dedicated, I'm not sure which, and haven't had plateaus or fluctuations that lasted for more then a few days. When I hit a plateau I work out that much harder.

hey alibuch

I work out about 1 1/2 hrs per day and eat every three hours taking in 2-300 calories for snacks and a bit more for meals. This way you never get hungry and your metabolism stays roarin. I love to eat and I am not to hard on myself about my eating, I eat pretty much whatever I want just making sure to keep it in my 1800 cal limit. If I deprive I will eventually binge and hard. Keeping the food log keeps me honest and brought me awareness on how many calories are in things. I wake up each morning and put on my workout clothes, I do not allow myself to do ANYTHING before I do it for I am very easily destracted and will never get to it otherwise. I tell myself I will work out everyday that way if I really just don't feel like it or something early arrises I don't feel bad about skipping, but I tend to work out 6 days a week. I have a ton of workout DVD's, the firm, windsor pilates, yoga, crunch, and Jillian Michaels from the biggest loser. Variety and the challenge of routines keeps me motivated, I also treat myself to a new DVD whenever I find one that peaks my interest. Rotation is the spice of life. Good luck, if you what to chat my e-mail is in my profile.

I'll be adding some before and after pics to my profile tomorrow.

hey abrandau

not that you want to hear this but I was also always told if I breastfed the weight would melt off, for me this was so untrue. I had the metabolism of champions while pregnant ( I ate anything and everything and only gained 15 lbs with my first and 17 lbs with my second) but as soon as they cut the chord it became slower then ever and no amount of breastfeeding would speed it up. I struggled to lose every pound while breastfeeding, harder then usual actually as my breasts swelled to a 40F. After my second I accepted the facts and learned to stay the course and after I stopped breastfeeding my good habits paid off and only then did I drop the weight.

Ps to those with funky periods if you are breastfeeding it does affect them. My period did not return till 9 months after the birth of each of my girls and it took 6 or 7 months after that to become regular.

Hey Salome

I also did the only way with diet and exercise, lots of excercise anywhere from1-2 hours per day with resistance training. My abs are rock solid underneath and my boobs may look like deflated balloons but the sag isn't as bas as it could be seeing as I nursed each baby for a full year. I'm pretty sure all I've got left is the tummy tuck, and having had natural childbirth I hope it won't be too painful.

kathygator I hit my high of 250 in 1999 got down to 200 in 2001 got pregnant got back down to 200 in 2003 got pregnant got down to 185 in November 2005 got stuck. In July I found the joy that is calorie-count and today I weighed in at 163 and a size 8.

Weight Loss sick... what do i do? Oct 17 2006

I was extremely sick during my first pregnancy, threw up daily for 4 months, this is what I learned. When you are sick consult your craving genie, eat WHATEVER sound good and make everything count, no diet sodas try sprite, ginger ale, gatorade, hell cool aide if you can tolerate it. When I am sick I ignore calories especially if throwing up is involved, focus on getting in calories that calm your tummy and taking care of yourself. Worry about the scale later.

I'm also a fan of the firm, windsor pilates and crunch. Currently my favorites are crunch fat burning ab attack and the biggest winner series( Jillian Michaels of the biggest loser). Jillian is the love/hate in my life. She kicks my ass but boy is it shapely. I like the aerobic striptease, once you've learned the routine it is a pretty good workout not a great one but a fun one, after being a mom all day it reminds me I'm feminine and can feel sexy.

Hey nymo
my sister was on depo for 10 years and got an IUD about a year ago. She had one pretty bad cycle and said the insertion was real bad (they have to dialate your cervix slightly) but after a few months to adapt she is in bliss, no periods no problems. She also doesn't have/want kids.

Good luck to ya, I also have a german mix and she also barks at everything. In the house I have sheers, plants or both in front of all windows facing the front of the house, so inside she's sweet and quiet, outside however she's a woofer from hell. She barks at everything, we've tried everything short of shock collars but she continues to bark at everyone taking out the trash, all children at play, and parents taking young ones on walks. We've tried to convince her that only axe wielding psychos merrit such ferocity but she barks on. At 8 1/2 years old I fear she is set in her ways so she is rarely ouside alone and we keep her attention with her favorite ball when she is as our neighbors also have complained.

After two pregnancies and a year of nursing with each my boobs too are, to say the least, droopy. I've brought them up a few inches but can't seem to do anything to restore firmness. To raise them up pushups, bench presses, pec flies, and pullovers are a girls best friend, and the more weight the merrier. This will lift 'em up, increase cleavage and round out your pecs making you look fuller, rounder and as perky as you can get without silicone. Firming lotions don't hurt either.
