| this is my first day of upping my calories. usually i have 1200-1300, but i'm trying to break a plateau, so i'm trying to have 1500 today. i seriously feel like i'm eating SO much. it's going to be so hard to get used to eating this much. | |||

| i think it might be in your head a bit. sometimes when you get really full, you do get sleepy though. i think you might be so full because you got two of the heavier rolls. if you try something more basic, like just a shrimp roll, no crunch, you will probably be less full. | |||

| good advice, red_herring. i'm a sushi addict. i can't get enough of it, but since starting here, i learned to look for the more basic rolls. i try to avoid tempura rolls, rolls with sauces, and rolls with crunch on them. i stick to the simple ones... salmon rolls, albacore rolls, tuna rolls (not spicy tuna. it has mayo in it) sashimi, while expensive, is probably your better choice, calorie-wise. definitely enjoy some miso soup and edamame. be careful with soy sauce. my weight is usually up at least a pound the day after having sushi because of the sodium. |

| my dad has had two show dogs (newfoundlands, to be exact), and has always been told by the breeder to give the dogs garlic pills. the dogs have always been fine. i'm not sure if it's toxic in pill form though. | |||

| any spicy chicken sandwich from anywhere is my absolute weakness.. especially from wendy's and jack in the box. and to whoever mentioned the bbq chicken sandwich from carl's.. it's my saving grace! it's delicious and 390 calories! |

| actually. i'm not a frequeng "go-er." 2 times a week is normal for me. i asked my doctor and she said that it's normal as long as i'm not in any pain or anything, but it IS annoying. | |||

| morgan- i'm starting to think that i might be gaining a bit of muscle, because most of my workouts involve a lot of legwork with resisistance. (bike on high resistance, elliptical on high resistance, etc.) |

| curlyd- i keep my activity level set at sedentary and then add in my activities. at sedentary, i burn about 1800 calories a day. i exercise 3 times a week for an hour. i know 135 is on the low side, but i'm very small framed. thanks for your help =) |

| my sedentary rate of burning is also at 1800, so i've been consuming about 1300 calories/day, more if i exercise. the other sites i've been to calculate in my age, weight, height, and lifestyle into their numbers, so that's why i'm surprised to see that it's higher. i've also had a hard time losing weight (i've been on here since july), and now i'm starting to wonder if it's because i should be eating more than the 1300 recommended by CC. | |||

| it's so hard not to get discouraged when your body loses weight this way. it's upsetting to know that you're doing everything right but gaining weight. but it seems like my weight always spikes up a few pounds right before i lose a few pounds. | |||

| yep. i tend to do that. i'll lose a bit of weight, my weight will jump up to a depressing point, then suddenly 4-5 lbs will randomly come off. | |||

| i'm not really sure because size really varies. when i lost weight and got down to a 140, i was a size 8. i'm 5'9. everything really depends on where you carry your weight. as i'm getting closer to 140 yet again, i don't think i'll be a size 8 again. my body is shaped a bit different now. | |||

| in my own experience, when i've given up DIET soda, weight has just melted off of me. it might just be the excess water weight because the caffeine and sodium do cause water retention, but when i don't drink diet soda, i weigh less, and i feel less bloated. | |||

| in my own experience, i've found that when i drink diet, i get really bad cravings for sweets, and i feel bloated. when i decided to give up diet soda, within the next week, my cravings for sweets were gone, my stomach was flatter, and my plateau was broken. i agree that having a diet soda is better than reaching for a plate of brownies, but it really needs to be consumed in moderation. | |||
