| Foods | Need Healthy Breakfast suggestions... | Oct 05 2006 15:53 (UTC) |

| Instead eggs to egg subsitute (EGG Beaters) which I think tastes better than egg whites and is lower in calories and everything else as well with getting the same scrambled look.
Another favorite breakfast is whole wheat toast with peanut butter and bananas. You get your serving of fruit in. Oatmeal (Instant if you want it quick) make it with water and then if you want add milk after cooked so it isn't very much then if you want the creamy effect. Cold Cereals I love Kashi Go Lean Crunch (YUMMY!!!) or Grape Nut Flakes with a Banana (Getting your fruit serving in) Those are some of my seggestions that are more filling for breakfast and not to crazy in calories. |

| My wake up call was in May when I just went through a misscarriage and I was over 300 lbs. I had promised myself I would never get that heavy and here I was at 304 lbs. I am currently in a rut but have lost 25 bls. and have a long way to go but if I ever want to be able to play with my kids and have energy I have to get up and do something. My two boys need me not a potato on the couch teaching then how not to eat. | |||

| I have never run in my life because I have always been on the heavy side but I know the feeling of not wanting everything jiggling so I have done other exercises for now until I feel more comfortable with myself and my size. Hopefully because I am exercising when I do eventually I will be fit enough to run a little without being completely out of breath. Keep at the food calorie and find exercise you enjoy and you will be more likely to stick to it and eventually the running can be a long term goal (a motivator). Or if you get the nerve up go and run and relize that you are running not to show your jiggling self off but to make you a better healthier person and it doesn't matter what you look like because you are there for yourself and no one else. | |||

| Weight Loss | Have You Tried Max OT Cardio Yet? | Aug 29 2006 00:04 (UTC) |

| I have another question it was mention to other people in this thread that if you are really into making sure you get your 30- 45 minutes of cardio in that you do the 16 minutes of the Max OT first then do the rest 13- 30 minutes on another machine at a regular pace is that something you recommend if you really want the 30 - 45 minutes cardio in. I did a session of Max OT today 16 minutes on the epilator and two minutes of a cool down but I didn't read the thread first so I did weights afterward. But then I did 15 minutes on the treadmill 11 minutes on the bike. I still didn't burn as many calories as if I do 30 minutes on the epilator and then 15 minutes on the tread mill. So I wise wisdom. Help Please!!! | |||
| Weight Loss | Have You Tried Max OT Cardio Yet? | Aug 26 2006 14:02 (UTC) |

| If you are on the tread mill it goes at a set pace so if you do the same intensity as the last time then how are you going any faster? And I am still not understanding about that if your machine will onlly go up to 10 mph after you have reached that target what happens? There is only so much a machine can do before it can't do anymore. And do you feel any different after several weeks to let you know you metabolism is rising? And if you want to switch it up like a treadmill one day and the epilator the next can you still do MAX OT or is it harder to improve your time if you change machines? | |||

| I don't care for MC Donald's french fries. I still like there chicken nuggets and burgers (not as much cravings for though) but the fries I had one other day and it just wasn't the same. I use crave them and eat a large but one fry and I was like isn't as good as I though it would be so I stopped eating it. Now I have to work on other food things. | |||

| Do you belong to a gym that has a water aerobic class. I do water aerobics 3 times a week and I enjoy it. It is 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of toning with water weights and tubes as extra resistance. It is hard to tell you exercises that we do like I can give you some of the names we call them but it is hard to explain. Like rocking horse, or downhill skier, or cross country skier, or froggy, or karate kicks to the side or shooting hoops just to name a few. | |||

| I have no willpower if I had cake in the house I would go crazy and eat it. Good for you that you are able to control yourself now just have to put that same control at work. Don't have some and then maybe you can have the cake you have at home later. If you husband knows you are watching you weight you can tell him that it is not in your plan to have some now or you can not have the cake you have at home. Keep up the good will power. You can do it! | |||

| I have been a member for 3 weeks but I didn't ever post here but after reading all the posts I felt I should sign up. I have 154 lbs. left to loose. I started at 304 and had a wake up call and have been working on my weight. I started in May and I am at 278 lbs. My short term goal is to get to 250 lbs. since I need short term goals to keep me going. If something gets to complex or overwhelming I tend to want to give up so I have to look at smaller short term goals to stay motiviated. I am an emotional eater so anyone with suggestions I am up for anything. Especially at night I have issues and tend to go overboard then regret it but nothing I can do but try again the next day with hopefully them becoming less and less all the time. Any way I think this post is great! | |||
| Weight Loss | The beginning is torture....... | Aug 09 2006 02:31 (UTC) |

| I have 154 lbs. to loose. I have a member for almost 3 weeks and I have lost probably 5 lbs. so far about 2 lbs. a week which is a healthy way to loose but when you see 154 to go all the time does sometimes get you down because you work hard at watching what you are eating and exercising but there is a lot of support and there has been times when I need motivation and I got it here on CC. Patience is a virture. I am working on that but I do set up small short term goals with long term goals as well. I have to do that with everything in life not just weight lose. I have to take slow to make it a more permanent thing too. I have been told that at first it will take motiviation and dedication but it will get easier and more automatic if you just keep plugging away at. We can work on it together. | |||
| Weight Loss | Saving money | Aug 09 2006 02:19 (UTC) |
|
| I have notice the saving in money to. Especially when you take the whole family out. Like $15 to $20 dollars in one meal when I can put a healthy meal together for under $6 dollars. The only problem I have is motivation to cook every night. I don't miss the food at the fast food chains but I do miss not having to cook. But movtivation and not being lazy to get off my but and cook a meal is slowly getting easier now I just have to convince the kids to try more new foods. (Picky eaters) | |||
| Weight Loss | Anyone watching celebrity fit club on VH-1? | Aug 09 2006 02:07 (UTC) |

| I watched most of it the other day. I think it is interesting to see the new group of people and see how they have changed since they left the show like jennifer (don't know her real name) how she has a baby now and black hair. The baywatch girl and the guy from nypd blue those are three that I know from shows and stuff. Also the guy that is in a lot of mafia movie because well he just has the look. The one thing I think is are views on how guys can carry more weight around and not get put down as much as the women. Oh Carnie Wilson that is one person who has struggle with weight in the public's eye and I think it is great that she is not waiting till things go crazy to work on getting back in shape. Even though orginally she did the surgery route (easy way out) but I can relate to her struggles. I like watching the show but not obbese over it or anything I like the watching the biggest looser too. Not that I could do half the things they do I like watching it. It sortof motiviates me to get up and move. | |||

| Hey Slappy can you explain the difference in Water Calisthenics and Water Aerobics I am not sure what calisthenics is but according to the website you burn the same amount for 30 minutes of either water aerobics or calisthenics. But I am not sure what the exact definition of calisthenics is. |

| I enjoy it one because it is easier on the joints but the water gives you resistant that land doesn't plus everyone goes at there own pace so that is nice don't feel like I am lacking behind plus the water helps keep you cool so I feel I can work harder just remember to take your water with you. The one I take is called power hour so it is not filled with just older people there are some young people too and they aren't just overweight people there is all shapes and sizes. So that is nice too. Overall I like it and you get to meet people too that are working on better themselves to which is nice. I am all for it! (If you hadn't noticed) I go 3 times a week for an hour. Thanks Slappy I will see if the website you listed helps. | |||

| I am looking to be adopted and I have according to CC 152 lbs. My goals are to loose weight and find healthy good meals for my family and meals for breakfast and lunch that aren't a lot calories but are filling and good tasting. (Is that possible I'm not sure) Also want a motivator for exercise and toning. With all the weight I need to loose I need to tone a lot. I am usually on first thing in morning after breakfast and then again usually in the evening to calculate my day. Sometimes more if I am bored or having a rough day. I would like as many coaches as people want because I am one of those people who like to chat and get several opinions before I can make up my mind. Any the bottom line is I need help and would like it from someone who is very motivated and can motivate me too. | |||

| I am a new member to this website I have been on for a week and a half almost. I have a lot of weight to loose but thought of trying to tone and gain muscle as I go along hopefully so I won't end up with a lot of excess skin. Anyway I have read the post and I know the side plank is to hard for me and I am not understanding how to do it from a knee position. Anyway I am a very out of shape beginer and need a lot of help getting started. Crunches are understandable and I can do about 30 before it hurts to bad but that is with breaks in between. Plank I can do for 15 sec. and that is all I am tried so far. Thanks for your help. | |||
| Weight Loss | Is anyone here on cymbalta? | Aug 01 2006 00:41 (UTC) |

| I am currently on it and I haven't gained weight but I don't think it made me loose weight either but mentally it made me feel better so I was able to do more for myself and my family. If the doctor suggests it and lexapro isn't working well anymore I'd give it a try worse cause you don't like it and you go back to the lexapro or something else. | |||

| That is GREAT!!!!! You have lost that wait and are almost at your goal weight for the month. I have had a bad weekend with overeating so on Monday when I go weigh myself at the local gym (I don't have a trustworthy scale at home) I am hoping it won't be to bad to me but tomorrow I am hoping to start fresh again and hopefully stay on track better this time for a longer time period. But CONGRATS on the weight loss. Keep up the good work were all rooting for you! | |||

| I love yoga. At first it was hard and I was sore but I still have a lot of weight to lose but if you find the right instructor they can give you versions for beginners or more advanced if you are fit. I like how after a few weeks of yoga I felt not so stiff and able to move around easier than before. Also good for relaxing. | |||

| I know when I went to weight watchers that they would tack points onto if you had points on that current day or if they were used up tack them onto the next day. I don't know if that goes for calories though. | |||
