Hey Guys! i hvaent been on the forum since thursday- and since then ive managed to catch a bacterial respaitory infection.. boo.... hows everyone doing with the 130/120 diet? I suggest we all own up and post our most current weights every week (i saw this was done bfore) Ill start im (perpetually) 134... damn the booze and the weekend...

 I was down a few lbs but then the weekend happened... i got the munchies on saturday and that was just bad LOL! i think i gained 6 lbs that day...

anyone else?!

Peachy-

I practice Bikram too. Anywhere from 3 to 6 times a week.  One of founding people in Bikrams circle of teachers states that the AVERAGE person will burn about 600 cals a class. A woman in one of my classes wore a heart rate moniter and afterwards determined she burned around 850. Ive seen calculators that state you burn 1000. I never count the highest of all the calorie expenditures- I put my Bikram sessions down for 600 cals. If i feel like i kicked some crazy ass and held everyone the whole time and went to my edge- then I'll count it for 700. 

Hope i helped- and please no one jump all over my for this- I'm simply reiterating what has been my collective research over the past year.

Thats what I did- I went out to a small mexican restaurant yesterday (hung over food, and i had chicken Fajitas too!!!)  I dont know exactly how many cals I ate, but i know that I didnt go over my daily caloric intake. One thing you can do, is look at a bunch of different restaurants and then come with with an average. For instance i saw some had like 35 grams of fat, and just by tasting and eating and making an educated guess, I know mine weren't that bad for me. So ion average m guessing about 400 cals and 10-11 grams of fat...... Eh I was hungover so whatever, and I don't do it often. The chips before were what killed me... and my guacamole! and my strawberry margarita (a hair from that dog that bit you...) LOL

Hey Cody- Ive fasted before, although, not longer than for 72 hours. I also exercise quite a bit. Maybe what you could do is plan on doing your regular routine the first 2 or 3 days (depending on how you feel around days 3) and then switch over to some yoga or pilates classes.

 I'm thinking maybe Ill join you on your week long fast. it would be my first, and having some support might make it easier.

i cant believe i forgot to add resses peanut buter cups! omg theyre amzing!! and peanut butter ice cream is amazing!! and regular peanut is a HUGE weakness!!! Sun chips are SOO GOOD and of course my number one weakness CHAMPAGNE!!!!!!!! im the silly girl that buys a bottle at the bar... for herself! LOL...

ive always wanted to try almond butter. and EVERYONE (sherry) I CAVED AND BOUGHT 4 JARS- BUT I HAVE Two friends that want a jar each so i guess i only have 2 jars,,,, oh well. im excited! how long did it take for u guys to get your shipment after ordering??

jredig- i plan on zig-zagging my calories, to try and and jump start and shock my metabolism! Im also getting back to strict calorie counting and cutting out my spoon fuls of peanut butter and compulsive chi lattes. Im also gonna try and not be as lax about the gym, but its my burfday and even though i want to go my boyfriend said "dont plan on it" oh well theres always tomorrow,,,, wait thats my party.. oh well theres always saturday,,, shoot thats my recover from friday night get ready for saturday night,, well i guess theres always sunday  Laughing

 

ps im down a pound 133!!- 125 here i come

ok so never posted in molly rants but have been lurking.... question- i googled the unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze- and yes it has less cals but it has fat and alot of fat cals,,,, is it really still better than skim milk? thanks friends

hello ladies!! im super glad i found this group!!! I was 127-132 right before xmas and now im up to 134-135 and want to go back!! im not sure what screwed me up, but xmastime was the first time in MONTHS i allowed myself to eat cookies and cookie dough and man did i go to town... i think thats what did it to me, and now im just trying to get back to where i was. Im trying not to crash diet and lose it all fast, but i just want it to be goooonnnneeeeeeee.

cant wait to get some motivation from u guys!!

I find it in whole foods. its not quite the same taste as PB but its pretty darn close for 100 cals and 2 g of fat

Heres another AWESOME trick!! I made these SUPER l;ow fat brownies (found the recipe on here)

 

one can of pumpkin puree (like the kind u use for pumpkin pie)  and then mix that with a low fat brownie mix and thats IT! They are super low cal and have nutrients in them. You DO have to bake them for a long time but WHATEVER!!

 also low fat cool whip is amazing! You can eat like 10 servings for 100 cals! 

Sugar free, fat free pudding with fat free cool whip is AWESOME too

 low fat grahm crackers in cool whip

I love All bran with some splenda and cinnamon in it. anything with high fiber and low calories! cause we ALL  know we dont eat 1 cup or 3/4 of a cup like the "serving" so when i eat twice as much, im still not cheating!

OK i screwed up- I **** made myself puke the other night and i feel like **** about it. and now im scared b/c u guys i puked up blood... a lot of blood. i think its cause i have finger nails and i scratched my throat and i made this huge hole in my throat and now im terrified. i havent done this in forever and now i was like throwing up blood... im soo mad at myself and i dont even know what to say...

OK now i want spoonfulls of peanut butter and brownie mix...

 

i LOVE to mix my tuna fish with ketchup and pickle relish.... love it

i put ketchup on turkkey sandwhiches and also dip my shrimp  in it

and i took one from buddy the elf... i put pancake syrup on my pasta and omg it was freakin good... now i count calories and will be sitting her thining about spoonfulls of brownie mix

I have a PB addiction. I love it no a spoon, and sometimes ill just dig my finger right into the jar. better n peanut butter just doesnt cut it for me

trying to curb my PB intake took but the thing ive learned is the 3 teaspoons makes a tblspn so i try and limit myself to 3 teaspoons so im not eating a full serving.... just a tip friends

i love bacon. Bacon and peanut butter are the two fats that I allow myself to eat.  I know, its not that healthy of a system, but it works!!!!!!!!!

I have taken all kinds of diet pills- from fat burners to pure caffiene. I started taking them when i was 12 and now im 22. I have been on and off them my whole life, sometimes addicted to them, sometimes hating them.

They are all the same- addicting. I have taken slimquick. I, actually, am currently drinking the slimqucik powdered formula, which makes ur water like a diet-drink. Don't know if it works, but if im gonna drink something, it might as well be diet water!

Anyway, people are typically hating on DPs. my friends steal them from me and throw them away.  (bitches Tongue out) And then when we go out at night they're like,,, uhh do you have any with a lot of caffeine?!?! I feel REALLY tired tonight!!

SO moral of the story, they all claim to make u skinny faster. All they really do is make u not as hungry for a few weeks, and give u massive amnts of energy. Workouts can be crazy intense and crucial when taking them.

Its a love/hate thing

Yea my boyfriend and I are both dieting. He wants to maintain his weight but change some of his so called fat (he literally has none) and make it into muscle. We work out together and motivate eachother. Except for tonight,Innocent I already went to my bikram yoga class and he did his PT (physical training in the army) earlier this morning. we were gonna go to the gym again tonight but we just sorta said screw it . LOL... kinda of an indirect answer.

 

yes we both diet together!! theres more power in numbers right??

Jessica, inm going through ti too. Its a second by second battle. but just remeber that upo until now uve been doing awesome! if u can overcome all of these horrible triggers in ur life and still not purge you will not noly be stronger but u will also have learned something about yourself. Uve come so far. dont give in

ok heres what IM thinking cause this happened to me: 

We trained ourselves to not eat... to not recognize when we were really hungry. In doing this we also stopepd our metabolisms because we were in starvation mode (im pretty sure u all know about this- ur body holding onto every single little thing u feed it thus making u feel overly bloated and fat when u do eat) 

ANYWAY- now that ur up to a more normal calorie intake u've basically jump started ur metabolism. Thats why ur hungry! ur body is using that food for energy and not storing it like it was in the past. when ur body doesnt know when and where its next meal will come from it holds onto that food. but now ur body is like "cool, i get FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD." so its digesting it and "OMG THATS WAS FANTASTIC... give me more...................." Laughing

thats what i went thorugh. i was crazy hungry when i first started eating all the while being like WTF!?!?

IM not a dr- so none of what i just said is based on facts. Its just me, giving you an educated guess paired with self examples.  

 

xbarmyx i understand every single word u just said. I dont know when my body is hungry eithor. but i do know that when i eat "normal"and dont starve (less than 1000) im more hungry the next day 

gosh- im rambling and have written so much- i HOPE THAT HELP YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guys,

I bloated like a whale when i stopped starving and puking. I hvae no experience with estrogen, but I'm here to try and reach out and give you a cyber hug- (lol i feel like a huge nerd for writing that- feel free to cyber punch me LOL... ok stopping now).  

t'm so glad i found this group. I'm still wondering, if what AA says is true- we simply replace one addiction with another? If i stop being addicted to food, will i become addicted to eating healthy? If i top being addicted to eating less than 1500 cals a day will I become fat again?! It like...I don't  know when to stop!!!

I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER!!! I am SOOOO glad that i found you guys. 

I haven't allowed myself to eat a whole can of peanut butter, but i do love it and eat about 1 teaspoon to 3 tablespoons a day!! Heres a tip guys: 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon. so maybe if u use a teaspoon and not a tablespoon to eat the peanut butter, u'll eat less calories!!!  

I tried that better n' peanut butter stuff- lower cals and like NO fat- but it seriously doesnt taste like peanut butter. 

 

I want to join the Starting fresh club again too!  I hope u guys respond on here- cause it looks like u died out over a month ago!

Hey all,

I binge too. Sometimes i know i havent each alot (breakfast- an apple and a pear, lunch today 3 small clementine, 1 apple, carrots and a tomato soup at hand, and 2 teaspoons of peanut butter probably just an apple and a clementine when i get home from the gym) but right now i feel soooo full and feel like i binged. I feel like i binge when im full. its proably because im a recovering bulimic so i tried myself to feel gross and want to puke when im full. i hate food i hate bingeing i hate feeling full and i hate being hungry

Hey guys,

I'm a newbie on here too!  Ive been struggling with an ED since the 8th grade (i'm not alsmot .... bday is jan 31)

 I sunk myself really deep into a purging/binging/starving lifestyle for about 2 years. it was really bad, but im getting better. I havent purged at all in the new year, althoguh i've wanted to- i havent tried. I also somehow have gotten over my fear of fat and calories. Its really F****ing sick though, because i so desperately want to be scared of fat again, so i wont eat them anymore. over the holidays i gained back 4.5 pounds. I have vowed to myself i wont starve them off by not eating. im still really pissed at myself for gaining them back though. my boyfriend swears he cantsee them, but i know i can see them on my belly and thighs. I thinhk i see something completely different in the mirror. but i know im not TOO skinny0 the BMI says healthy- is it wrong i want to try and get back to an underweight BMI??? 

even still, some days, Im at a loss for motivation to workout. Others, i cant get enough cardio at the gym (hours and hours- literally on sunday i was at the gym for 3.5 hours and burned 1600 cals in just cardio alone. ) I'm obsessed with food and my body. Im sad at what ive done to myself. I'm proud of myself for wanting to change. But sad that a little part of me still want to binge/purge and starve. Im sad when i eat and upset when i dont. I hate food. i feel like im the only person thats haunted by peanut butter and the cookies i wont allow myself to eat.

I just powered through a weight loss plateau, after losing over 45 pounds. I did this through  a different method than anyone mentioned. I started practicing Bikram yoga, and eventually, actually completely cut the gym out.

Before, I was going to the gym WAY too much, multiple spinning classes a day, multiples gym sessions a week (sometimes 2 times a day) and almsot no food (less than 1100 cals a day) once i started bikram i lost another 10 pounds and now im eating normally aagain, well normal for me, but i only eat fruits and veggies and some meat when my mother and boyfriend bitch  I only eat "ruffage"

Every now and then ill go back to the gym, but thats cause i LOVE the feeling of working out!!

Try Bikram guys, its awesome, and it helped me thorugh issues as well as a plateu!
