| Kate, I'm in that situation now. I thought losing weight would be the answer to my happiness. After I lost weight and got very thin, I became antisocial and tried to not go out to eat or go to parties because I was afraid that I'd drink over my calorie intake. There were days where I went below 1200 cals just because it would speed up my weight loss but in the end, a year later, I'm more miserable because I gained back some weight and feel like I have to be my smaller weight again. I can't eat without feeling guilty and I can't eat without thinking about how many calories are in foods. I drag myself to the gym everyday but nothing will never be enough. I don't want to be doing this all my life... counting and exercising. But I realized I was happier when I was heavier overall because I was social and didn't hold back most of the time, now I just feel like a wreck and I'm still picking myself up. |

| I wouldn't try it... your sweat would get into the player and it will probably stink after a while. Just get a different armband or a case to protect it. I would not want to risk something valuable for something silly. | |||

| Farting! It affects everyone in the room... a runny nose only bothers you and the person you dripped on! I'd rather drop my cell down the toilet because it doesn't cost as much as my laptop. |

I think that if you want a solid upper body, then the routine works. I think your cardio routine with jump roping and running will compensate for leaner legs anyways. But my workouts are evened out except I do abs everyday because I'm trying to keep rock solid abs. Monday - Biceps/triceps Tuesday - Calves Wednesday - Shoulders/Chest Thursday - Buns/Thighs Friday - Back/Extra Abs/Core Each day I do 30 minutes of cardio on different machines to change it up and then 400 crunches a day with a good long stretch after. |

| You're missing abs/core workouts. You have a lot of upper body work (I'm assuming benching weights also target chest and shoulders)... I think you need to even it out or else you'll look disproportioned. | |||

| I tell myself I'm fat. Okay, not really... when I'm tired I just remember how much better I'd feel after. I feel guilty if I don't go because then I greatly regret it. So don't regret it! It's only an hour out of your day or 30 minutes. What is so worthwhile to not use that hour? |

| They only size small because their demographic roughly starts at 12. Girls are generally small at that age so their extra small fits an average 12 year old and then it goes up from there. They only do it so their younger shoppers will fit into their clothes. You just have to realize that when you shop there, don't think about the size but the fit. |

I bought one instead of a red bull one day... I can have two red bulls and be fine but I had one enviga and felt so sick and nauseaus. Plus, the taste starts off alright, but you can't finish the can without being sick of it. I really doubt that it can make someone lose 40 lbs though. Maybe it made her nauseated too so she threw up. It's like ipecac to me haha |

| I do that all the time... so I resorted to not snacking. I don't trust myself, haha. But if I do snack, it's always on sugar free jello because it's 10 cals per half cup and after a cup, it just feels too sweet to eat. |

| Name: Nini School: Northeastern University Year: Technically 2010, I'm a "middler" or Junior. It's confusing. Did you gain the Freshman 15: YES. I hated it, I lost about 25lbs after freshman year. I was ranging about 145 lbs during that year and am 120 lbs now. Best food on your campus: I love everything at au bon pain. I have a sweet tooth so their cookies, bagels, danishes are amazing. If I want a fast food fix, I go to chicken lou's, a campus eatery that serves fat in a bun haha. How bad are your dining halls: They're okay, I think I like their cookies and desserts more than their food, hence the sweet tooth again. The food is generally the same all the time... thank god I live in an apartment and cook my own food now. |

I actually found myself eating one too many 100 calorie packs when I buy them. I have a bad sweet tooth so if I ever get ones that are cookies and anything sweet, I eat more than one. So I ended up getting the 100-cal popcorn and cheese-its because I can only eat one of those at a time! But they were great when I packed a bag lunch for work! But I also found it cheaper to just buy the normal kinds of chips or crackers and divide them into snack bags. |

| A gallon might be too much. Your electrolyte balance might have been thrown off because of it. But that happened to me before and I found out that it was a migraine. I'd start out seeing flashes and felt very nauseous, dizzy, and weak. After about 10 minutes, a headache occurred. If you ended up with a headache like I did, you had a migraine with aura which is caused by hormone level changes from diet or right before your period. But if it's persistent, definitely see your doctor! |

| I was pretty much in the same boat as chamomile, I gained the 15 freshman year, but because of athletics, I would have gained more. Then after freshman year I wanted a change so I spent the entire summer losing weight by calorie counting and exercise and lost 30 lbs. It was easy to do it at home in the summer because I made my own meals and had the chance to exercise. When I got back to college, I gained about 7 lbs back which I don't really mind. So if anyone lives in an apartment, take advantage of grocery shopping because it costs less than a meal plan and you know what you're eating. Also use the school's gym! I used to go for an hour a day and then practice for 2-3 hours. Now I just go to the gym for an hour and I can maintain. As for the the inevitable college party... I avoid parties and if I go and drink, I usually bring my own and avoid beer and anything with too much sugar. So good old sugar free redbull and vodka, rum and diet cokes, and cranberry and vodka do it for me. When I go out to dinner, I try to chose the place or find out ahead of time to find an online menu and make a decision before I go. |

| That happened to me in high school when I had cheer camp for 4 days straight in the same sneakers and tumbling in them. They got purple and slowly detached after but they slowly grow back after a couple months. I just dealt with them not being there, even if it were gross! |

| I usually use canned kidney beans in salads but my favorite use for them is to make a naked burrito. I take brown rice, shredded chicken, kidney beans, tomatoes, peppers, onions, cilantro, and a bit of chili powder and taco seasoning and mix it all up to make a burrito minus the tortilla. I think it's a really great healthy way to incorporate fiber into something yummy. | |||
