busier days of Fall with kids' school, etc. need to work out more. haven't gained any though :)

i bought a pair of size 16 jeans the other day that fit well. some 16s fit well, some i have to squeeeeeeze into, and some are a no-go. so i guess i'm officially a 16-18 yet :) i'm getting there! :)

I am here and doing well.

Had a great week of eating almost no fat, mostly fruits, veggies, and plain breads/pastas/grains and was able to get under 220 lbs to a eased-in 219 lbs. I was just giddy when I weighed in this morning, lol!  

My gym membershp expires with August and at this point I'm not going to renew it. It was just a summer membership and I loved it, but didn't use it enough to pay the money. I hope I can  do well without it! Let's hope so! I still have a long way to go!

Started off at 282 lbs on delivery date Jan 28th and I'm now at 219 lbs. That's what, 63 lbs? My goal is about 140 lbs or whatever fits me into an easy size 8/9. Should be around that weight. Being 5'5" and a small/medium bone build (and being that size before that this height, and smaller even!) I think it's completley do-able, just going to be work! But hey.. I spent years packing this on and living it up at the refrigerator so it's time to think about my health for my family !!

Hello all - still around but busy these last weeks.

I have'nt been to the gym in like 4 weeks but I worked my body pretty good last week out in the yard and am sore to show for it! The kids start school this coming week so I'm going to start a new routine for exercising at the gym early mornings. OR possibly after dropping them off.. but that would take more time away from my two little girls still at home for the morning time I have with them before lunch & naptime and everyone else comes home and it all gets crazy again. I haven't counted calories much but have been active and I've not lost, but I've maintained between 221-224. I think I'll start counting calories in the next week and of course start the swimming & other gym stuff 5-6x/wk. I had hoped to be less by now but just haven't focused on it to be so, so my tentative goal is to be under 200 by Thanksgiving, hopefully much sooner! And hopefully still at my goal of 140ish by next June.

Great to see you here as usuall Penny! And everyone else, too :)

Just 4-5 weeks left of summer and here comes Fall! I love them all, but I especially love Autumn :)

just having a bad time right now. i somehow made it back down to 221 yesterday but know what i've eaten today? hmm, 2 pieces of PapaJohns pizza, 2 deli cupcakes, 1 large glass of mexican horchata, 3/4 of a B&J ice cream pint, 1 big bowl of italian pasta covered in cheese.

that's not a good calorie consumption thing.

i am down from a whopping 282.5 (but delivery date, mind you) from Jan 28th, 6 months ago. so that's a 61 lb loss in 6 months, minus her 8lb birthweight and such. still, it's a loss...

i'll do better.. just stressing out and overwhelmed with life right now. wishing the school summer vacation didn't end until february instead of 3 weeks from now already. *sigh*

ho hum. it'll get better. you can do it newbies.. it's not easy, but it is possible. ignore me but realize there will be stresser days and even weeks! i'll get back on the wagon.. just.. not today.

Hello Purple Team.. I've barely posted but wanted to get on here to let you know that I'm leaving the challenge. It's actually to my own benefit because I'm not ceasing to exercise or commit myself back to a healthier me again, it's in fact just the opposite as I'm finding that weighing myself every single week is hurting my progress. So! I must leave this challenge and I might get on board another one around Sept-Oct.

Keep working hard!!! You can win this!!

Here, here, me too :) I'm slacking off and I'm starting to feel it.. I inched back up a few lbs so I've got to get on the ball and keep working away at this. A bonus is that I need to buy the next size down in panties so that's always GREAT news!! LOL I went and got some size 8s... been a long while since then.. maybe by next summer I'll be in size 4 or 5 underwear. What a weird goal.

yeah, i'm still here but it's been a week or so for me i guess. I'm still on the wagon :) I was 221 this morning .. still losing steadily.

Haven't swam much the last few weeks but need to. I did some for fun tonight and felt good and not sore so far so maybe I'll drag myself out of bed early tomorrow and go.

Maybe someone else will return and update as well ....

My SW was 225 and for week 1 I'm 224. That's because I only had 2 days of going at it, lol. I'm confident I'll have more gone next wk!

No, people are only eliminated when they stop posting weights after 3x or basically quit. What's sad is how many people start dropping like flies after the 3rd & 4th weeks.

In the part 6 challenge the top 5 individual weight-losses were posted after each week's weigh-in, and the teams were listed for rank of percentage lost.

Then after the Finale week the Team that lost the most percentage overall was the Winner and again, the top 5 individuals with the most overall total weightloss were listed.

So, it's team but also added individual. I think KJ (the mod this time) will be doing it that way. I might mod it next time for part 8, we'll see how it all goes :)

i'm still around just not posting very much lately. i'm holding 225lbs and I really needed a break from an injury and stress so rather than crashing and giving up (never was to that point) I took a 2 week hiatus from exercise to help heal my shoulder and calorie counting. I was surprised to find that although I fluctuated a bit I was still at 225 ( no gain ).

 I'm also changing some things up after my hiatus and thinking it all through and am now going to weigh in on Thursdays. Plus I joined the new Biggest Loser challenge-7 on here and I hope to do well with that. I actually won the part 6 one, but just barely! My goal is 20 lbs... we'll see what happens.

Good to read up on everyone :)

Just curious about others lives ... as for me ..

I'm 31 & married almost 11 years. We have six children and we're coming up on birthday season so before the end of the challenge they'll be 10, 9, 8, 6, 4, and our baby is 5 months (born on Jan 28th).

I don't work except at keeping my sanity :) I try to get to the gym to swim and want to add other stuff. I also like to walk and occasionally do sprint or distance challenges with my husband and he always beats me cause he'd rather die trying than let me win, lol.

They and my own family (parents, brothers, etc ) are what my life revolves around! And it's packed on the lbs and I'm steadily losing it now since Jan 07 (except for pregnancy). I was 282.5 at delivery Jan 28th and was 225 a few days ago. I'm working on it!

Alright .. tell all, all !

  I like the weekly challenge idea, too. And we can repeat the same ones later for a reminder if we can't think of anything else after a few weeks.

 Also, vitamins could be a week. I'm very bad about rememberng them. And I'm also nursing my 5 month old so they're very good to add especially since I'm limiting my calories to lose weight (but she's doing great, no worries!).

 Wow, a personal challenge ..  I'm a bit concerned I can't keep losing at a steady rate but I'll sure try! I don't like to lose. If I were in a physical challenge I'd go until I dropped!! :) You're on... but I hope that everyone will challenge themselves .. and there are some very competitive, steady Losers signed back up again, too!

Hello all ~ This makes my 2nd Biggest Loser Challenge. Not to boast, but I won the last Biggest Loser Challenge part 6. I lost 23 lbs just barely edging out a few others who were just 1 lb or 2 less than myself. It gets competitive! Especially the last 3-4 weeks!

I still have about 85 lbs to lose so I'm in this one all the way. Tentatively speaking I'd like to get to at least 200 lbs this time around.

I'll weigh in on Thursdays. I will probably come out to about 225 lbs this week as I'm just beginning today after a 2 week hiatus from actively trying to lose weight.

Go Purple! And I'm game for any name if you want to change it, too.

This is IT! The Final day of weighing-in! I can't believe it's here already!!!

My Starting Weight: 248 lbs

My Goal: Lose 20 lbs

Week 11 Weight: 227lbs

My Current Weight: 225 lbs!

Total Loss? 23 lbs :D

This was my maiden voyage into weightloss challenges! I'm proud of myself and I hope everyone else is of their success, too. It sure isn't easy. But it IS worth it! :)

And Congratulations to everyone who stuck through this, thick and thin! Pun intended ;)
