and yes, as ya'll can see, there are other people doing the same things we do. I'm afraid that the sweets issue some of us have is do to us depriving our selves of the foods we really enjoy, which obviously back fires on us whenever we get down, depressed or anxiety takes over. we all want this cycle to stop, right?

well what im going to try is to let myself eat the things i want. i know its risky, but i dont want to go through another diet that comes with even more pounds than before. there's only two rules. both of which are much easier to say than do, but im willing to try.

  1. only eat when feeling hungry.
  2. STOP eating when satisfied (halfway on the hunger scale)

this way you can stop eating  the wonderful foods you like, because you KNOW you can have some tomorrow.

yesss me too. and i get so ashamed of it. right now my main goal is to not view food as good or bad. i want to be able to eat what i want and stop when satisfied instead of eating like its my last day on earth

YES!! mine are almost ALWAYS at night. and i tend to sneak to the kitchen alot, bc im ashamed of my mom seeing me eating as much as i do...i hate it!!!

im constantly telling myself while binging that it'll be okay, ill just do good tomorrow or something

I'll start it off-

I wrestled my first year of highschool, and all of those starvcation diets let me to this circle i cant get out of.

I eat good all week, then blow up on the weekends. its like everything i turn down during the week, i make up for it. NOT a good thing.

i can't eat any sweets with eating the entire box/container.

feel like i have to self control

  • protein shakes? i have this protein powder that i mix with skim milk, ice, and maybe fruit. veryyy filling.
  • my favorite is the egg beaters that you pour into a skillet..it usually takes me like 7 minutes to fix those and chopped healthy choice 80 cal, low fat sausage mixed with the egg whites. keeps me full for hours! and low calorie too :)
  • also....try high fiber cereal! like...fiber one with lowfat milk and maybe topping it with berries or splenda for extra taste :)

eating healthier was part of the goal, but i was just mainly focused on no binging.

i've made a short term goal for august 28th. i'm only going to eat the basic foods like eggs, whole-grain bread, lean meat, fruits and veggies, but there is still a part of me that is scared to make that commitment... and being scared for me, leads to binging Undecided

oh my goshhh same here.

and it's not even like my friends' faults. I just have this feeling that I HAVE to eat when i'm with them. I just try to stay really focused on not ruining my eating when i'm with them. It's a continuing struggle.

PEANUT BUTTER!!! i can eat it with ANYTHING.

alot of times ill put PB on my spoon then stick the spoon into a bowl of cereal and keep doing it untill the pb or cereal is gone. im HOOKED on it.

okay, please...

start me over for tomorrow. i feel like i just can't get back into eating healthy again. I haven't been able to find the right motivation.

I've started to take notes and read the Abs Diet book, but still want to eat fruit loops and white bread :/

actually, don't put me under a new date yet please. i dont want to jinx anything :(

but im trying, i really am...just not motivated...

YES! i've actually been cut away from sugars from a month now, and i was stuck at 138 before i did. The first WEEK i lost 5 pounds. I cut out all sweeteners, sweets, and anything else that triggered a sweet craving. Today i was at 131.5 :)

Just stick to NATURAL sugars like fruits, it'll help :)

like everyone here is saying, fruit is a good choice.

but with the fruit you need to eat some protein, to sustain the energy the carbs provide so you don't get tired fast.

sorry i'm 134, 5'2". i probably burn about...600 calories a day.

i have alottt of muscle, but my metabolism is extremely slow..

okay i know exactly how you feel and i did the exact same thing.

last year was my first year of highschool and i lost 15 lbs the summer before, because i was SO determined like you are right now. well, after school started i gained pretty much...all of it back unfortunately. The reason is, because i lost it soo fast and i was working out really hard, that by the time school started i figured, hey! i don't really need to starve myself or workout that hard anymore! but i was really wrong. i heard a saying, the longer it takes to come off, the longer it stays off. and, trust me on this one(from experience) that it's true.

what i'm trying to say is...lose weight the HEALTHY way, and don't do the starvation thing..it will lead to binges and that's what i had to deal with my whole freshman year. i'm finally recovering from it.

please trust me on this one, and message me back if you need help doing it the healthy way.

i've dealed with every situation.

binges are pleasurable only for the amount of time that your shoving food into your mouth, and THAT's IT.

Just checking in! I'm still eating clean!

I didn't have ANY of the cake, cupcakes, brownies, OR cookies at the party we stayed at all day yesterday. I will admit it was one of the hardest things i've ever had to do.

My short-term goal right now is untill the 14th, because i'm going to schlitterbahn :)
