| I had GERD and acid reflux really bad and was on perscribed Zantac and Prilosec. Now that I've lost a lot of weight I don't take the Zantac anymore and I only take the Prilosec if I'm eating something really spicy. | |||

| Have you tried Raisin Nut Bran
It is 209 cals for 1 cup but it has 5.1g of fiber and 5.2g Protein. Also if you wanted to do Cheerios. Honey Nut Cheerios only have 145 cals for 1 cup. I do 1 cup cereal to a 1/2 c. fat free milk. Which is only 45 cals. That's 190 so you could add a banana or another fruit or orange juice and still be way under what you are doing now. |

| I just made me a CD this morning for working out on my elliptical. I have like
Push It - Salt n Pepa, Fergalicious & London Briges - Fergi, I like to move it move it - Shaggy, Tootsie Roll - 504 Boys, Sexy Back, Justin Timberlake, Hollaback Girl - Gwen Steffani, Temperature - Sean Paul, Switch - Will Smith, SOS - Rihanna, Ms. New Booty - Bubba Sparxx, Grillz - Nelly, Permiscuos Girl - Nelly Futado, Buttons - Pussycat Dolls, 1,2 Step - Ciara. These are just some of mine. They work good for me cause I keep my steps to the beat. It's upbeat and fun. |

| gypstfan - I did lose the weight by joining Calorie-Count. I have raved about this site to everyone who asks how I did it. Over the years I tried a little bit of everything. But having to be accountable for everything you put in your mouth and trying to keep the deficit correct between cals consumed and cals burned, it really kept me on my toes. | |||

| Oh Yeah. It has been Honey wheat Pretzels since the summer. Also I really like the Lean Cuisine Brick oven style BBQ chicken Pizzas. I eat one almost everyday for lunch. Last year at this time it was the Lean Cuisine Panini's. Over the summer it was strawberries and light vanilla yogurt mixed. Oh I can't wait till summer!!!! | |||

| I'm there to. I have lost about 81 pounds and I've got about 19 more to go. I've been at the same weight since Oct. I just can't get rid of the last little bit. I want to lose it by Summer. I'm getting a new eliptical next month so I hope that will help. Good Luck. | |||

| My hubby and I go everyyear. sometimes we don't even have a specific item we are looking for. We just go for the adrenaline rush and to watch people reacting to each other. There was almost a riot last year at Menards. It was funny. We like to get the deals with 6 kids we really need the good prices but if we don't get it we don't get upset about it.
Today I will sit down with the papers and make out our game plan on what time stores open andwhat I'd like to get there. Then we know in what order we need to go. then we always go out for breakfast and discuss our savings. 7 years ago my son was only a month old and we took him. He slept right through it. Then in 2002 I was pregnant and we wanted some bean bags that were real cheap at Menards. There was a huge mob around them but people were having troubles getting them out of the wire rack, So I stood back while my hubby went up to the rack of bean bags. He tossed the bags we needed over peoples heads to me and then he started helping the other women get theirs. He would ask what they wanted and start tossing them out. A lot of women were grateful. It's time that we get to spend together and it's a tradition for us that we look forward to. It's all what you make it. |

| The Candy Cane ICe Cream sounds good. But I have Edy's Pumpkin Light Ice Cream only 100 cals for a 1/2 cup . It tastes just like pumpkin pie with whipped topping. I eat a whole cup and don't feel at all guilty! | |||

| Love Lean cuisine but find them higher in cals than smart ones. Love the new Brick oven style BBQ Chix Pizza. I eat one of those everyday for lunch. Smart ones have really good frozen deserts and their thai chix and rice noodles. Those are my favorite I e3at a little of LC, SO, Healthy choice, and South Beach Diests. Just whatever sounds and looks good at the time. | |||

| Hi there. Actually a bad family portrait of me started it then a trip to doctor started my real journey. I have acid reflux and it was made worse by me weight. But that was January and 85 pounds ago. I started with a goal of 100 pounds but I think I have decided to try for another 30 on top of that. What keeps me going is the Pride I get from the acheivement, I'm finally not embarrased of the way I look, and I have more energy. The road to being healthy is a long and winding one with many ups and downs but with each goal you reach it just propels you forward to the next one. There will be mistakes and slip ups but do not give up just start the next day on the right track. I had thought about the surgery but I had seen my sister-in-law go through it and the complications, the pureed 2 tbsp of food a day. No I don't think so. I've exercised and ate healthier and tried keeping my calorie deficit right and it seems to be working for me. But there is alot of discipline you have to have to do it cause no one but you will know if you eat a whole package of doughnuts. You have to really Want It. I mean more than anything else you have to be at that point where it's the most important thing.

| I made pumpkin cookies yesterday and they came out dry with little taste. The cookies made with regular sugar are very moist and spread out as the cook. I don't understand why the big difference. | |||

| With the 6 boys we always have tons of candy and in the past I got to go through it first and pick out what I wanted.
Thanksgiving we always go to my parents. There is usually upwards of 12 adults and 17 kids so there is a lot of food and most of it is not so healthy. Same with Christmas. My families get togethers always center around food. I do know this year to eat in moderation. Just plan on maintenance days and keep up with my exercise. I will also not be totally down on myself if I gain a little or just not lose. I have done great these last 9 months and a little set back will not stop me. |

| I've found that Kraft has a Fat Free Shredded Cheddar and Mozzerella cheeses. 45 cals for a 1/4 cup. I use that when I want cheese and it doesn't make me feel guilty. | |||

| Man the changes are great!! I've dropped just under 75 pounds and so much has changed. Getting up and down stairs, my energy level has went up, I have a collar bone & hip bones, I'm down from a 26W in jeans to a 18W, and I have even gotten some looks from men :).
But something that just got me yesterday was.. I was looking in the mirror at my face real close putting on makeup ( which I haven't wore in years because of self image probs) and I noticed the top of my nose has wrinkles. Like the skin was stretched out (filled with fat) and now it's not. It is so weird I never thought my nose was fat but now that I look at before and after pics I see even my nose has gotten thinner. I am sooo lookin forward to getting beyond my goal and to find a lot more positive changes. |

| I like Slim Fast. I'm on the go alot and they are so easy to grab and go. I keep some in the fridge at all times. I will drink one for breakfast like 3 times a week and then I'll have one for lunch like twice a week. I was doing one for breakfast and one for lunch but I found I was really hungry. So I ususally don't have 2 a day. I don't do the bars just the shakes. I have done the south beach diet bars (100 cals), but I don't eat those everyday either. If I want a snack and that's what I'm in the mood for then I eat it.
About the plateauing it's not the slim fast that makes her plateau. Probably it's the amount of cals she's intaking. It might not be enough. As long as she stays within her cals, exercises and drinks plenty of water, the plateau will end soon enough. She could drink slim fast and eat slim fast bars for all of her cals and probably still lose weight if she didn't go over her calorie intake limit. Tell her to hang in there!! |
