That was an amazing post.  Thank you for taking the time (hunched over the keyboard, baby on the legs :) to write this out.    It can be a bit hard to swallow, when in our youth our identity is all wrapped up in how we look, to realize that our post baby body goals are not only unattainable but completly unrealistic!  I can't tell you how utterly dissapointed I was after I'd lost all the weight after my first pregnancy.  I felt tricked, like no one told me it was premanent 'damage'.  That was really where my mind was at the time, thinking I was damaged.  I'm lucky I got to a place where I can laugh about it now.  And here I am, after my second child, loosing the weight again, but have a MUCH better attitude!

I have a pair of 'goal jeans' in my closet that I re-try on once I hit a decent milestone. 

I also REALLY enjoy my Shape magazine subscription.  There are fitness routines, recipes and motivational stories of ladies who've already reached thier goals.  The subscription itself would be the reward.....then each month you get a new issue and a motivation boost!

There hasn't been many posts on here so I just wanted to give everyone a big SUNDAY CHEER, cuz weigh-in is tomorrow!  I think I did really good this week.  I finished another 8k and just KNOW that's going to help.  Did any one catch how AWESOME Ali looked on the Biggest Looser Finaly?  WOW!!!

I've been guilty of the late weigh-in myself.  How about you post what you have?  Anyone who doesn't report their weight by Monday at like 3pm (?) doesn't get updated?  That way, the rest of us (or maybe just me) won't have to keep coming back through the week to see the results.

And I've totaly bombed on this weeks logging challenge.  I haven't made it one whole day yet!

I'm up for the challenge.  I have to admit that I don't log food often.  Its time consuming!  And I'm still nursing so I'm not strict on calories.  But I will this week!

Goal is 150.  If I loose 5 more lbs, I'll be halfway there.  So its still a ways away, but the important thing is how healthy I feel.  Its like I almost don't mind being 180.....almost :)

And I have a small victory to report, weighed in at 179.2 today!  Out of the 180s for the first time since joining CC in 2006. (Didn't really take me that long, there was the little incedent of having a baby along the way to slow things up a bit.)  I have a weekend trip out of town so I'm going to try really hard to eat as well as possible so that number stays until MONDAY!!!!

I worked out 2-3 times a week on the elliptical for 40 minutes each time.  I did that for about 3 months, until it got markedly easier.  Then my sister called me up for a run and thought I'd see what I could do.  And like I said, I was pleasantly suprised.

I will have to post my weight tomorrow too, sorry ladies.  I do have a small victory to report though.  After months on the elliptical, I decided to go for a run.  And you know what?  I didn't die!  Or pass out!  OR twist an ankle....I'm very proud of this milestone.

Great job hildieb!  I know you've been working hard for that for a while.

I'm already a hot mama, but if you can't find anyone lelse I could switch teams.  I know all of my fellow hot mamas would be sad to see me go though :)

I just want to say WAY TO GO to all the Hot Mamas this week.  We DOUBLED our weight lost!

I don't know about you all, but there is something about competition that has really got me motivated.  Its given my Mondays a whole new spice, I actually look forward to it!

I'm so lost on the net cals/points/tracking thing this week.  I mean, I get how to do it, its just I need my little brain to be busy doing mommy stuff!  I think I might still be in holiday frenzy mode!  But I think that mainly has to do with the many re-modling projects going on in my house.  It makes me nuts!

YES tbassngal!  I went to my Dr and asked about calories and she told me the same information as the above links.  Lately I've been feeling ravenous when in between meals.  I have 6 lbs to go before reaching pre-pregnancy, but much more to go before my real goal.  Just keep trying and it will happen!

I too am nursing and trying to loose the baby weight, plus the extra I had when I got pregnant!  She's 6 weeks now.  She is my second child, plus I have 2 other step kids.  After my first baby, I found it pretty easy to loose weight because I was nursing.  Then again, I was working at the time.  Now I stay home and am actually feeling too busy to do all the exercise I know I need to do.  I'm doing cardio a few days a week but leaving out the weights.  I haven't been counting calories because I don't know what's safe for my milk production so I've just been trying to make smart choices.

I wouldn't worry at all about the urge to snack.  You'll be doing more for your metabolism by eating smaller, more frequent meals.

I'm here because I need to stay focused.  I have a Dr appointment soon and plan on asking about this issue.  I'll pass on any info I get.

Thanks Susan!  When I was doing LA Weightloss a few years ago, they made minimal caloric allowances for alcohol.  It was 2 glasses of red wine or 2 beers a week.  But not every week.  Don't want to sound like a huge lush but, c'mon!

I've been doing really well since the last holiday, partly because I've stayed busy and focused.  I took a break from weighing myself everyday and I'm feeling hopeful that when I do hop on, I'll be very pleased. *fingers crossed.*
