hello ama, I well understand. I was, seriously, at 184/5 since February! I decided, after finding this site, to try harder - report everything, be more calorie conscious and drink alot more water. so far I think its helping to bust me through but I am still a bit too nervous to say the plateau is over. Its been 2 days and I am still down at 182 so we'll see. keepin fingers crossed - hang in there ama, i'm rooting for you.

i'm with you m3lody - i have finally inched off my way-too-long plateau of 184/185 down to 182.2 - but  like you i think i want to whisper it (so my hips don't hear). i'll keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow's weigh-in.

hello all - i'll join the 180's as well. I was very excited to have found this site just a few days ago. I have been hovering at 184 for too long (I mean - a 6 month plateau??). I am renewing my efforts to break through that wall - more water, more exercize, more attention to meal planning. Looking forward to hearing tips from others.

11. Favorite Beverage? ok: diet rootbeer   not ok: Tanquerey, beer
12. Biggest Obstacle to Getting Healthy? (obviously) my lack of willpower (see above) and the fact that I own a restaurant
13. Weight/Fitness Goal? be stronger and fitter in my 50s than I was in my 40s; and trying to lose an add'l 30 pounds (have lost 30 over last 3 yrs-slow but steady is a severe understatement)  14. Least Favorite Household Chore? keeping up with shedding pets

16. Anything Else You'd Like To Share? I have been stuck at my present weight for 6 months (!) despite eating healthier - think this may provide the needed extra motivation
